This place is a scam. They claim to guarantee their service, but apparently not. They were called out originally to fix the furnace and install a thermostat, but could not fix the furnace. Two visits later and two hours of labor later (20 minutes rounded up to two hours), we’re out hundreds of dollards for a quick fix. These people are horrible.

I recently bought a home, and the previous owner recommended Milwaukie Heating and Cooling for servicing the furnace and air conditioner.
Since it’s spring, it was time to give the HVAC equipment it’s annual tune up. I called to schedule an appointment with Milwaukie. The person on the phone told me that I could save money by scheduling the AC and Furnace checks at the same time, but that it needed to be above 70 °F to service the AC. I heeded that advice and called back a week later to schedule when the forecast changed.
After I scheduled I did go to Unilocal to check the reviews and was surprised to see they had a bad review, but decided to keep the appointment anyway based on the previous homeowners recommendation.
On the day of the appointment the technician (I believe it was Rocky) arrived on time. He was fast and did a thorough job inspecting and cleaning the furnace and AC. Afterwards, he took the time to show me how my (rather complicated) high efficiency furnace worked so I’d be able to troubleshoot issues myself if something failed on a cold night at 2am.
I couldn’t be happier with the service I received and I thought the price was fair. The tech didn’t try to sell me anything extra or «find» a bunch of things to replace, and he was very patient with my questions. I’ll definitely be calling these guys again next Spring.
