This is my 4th time here and I was really disappointed. Our server took forever to get our drink orders and food. Plus, she didn’t get the drink order correct! The food was good but not something special. A great place to go, but it is rather expensive.

I’m 100% amazed that this location doesn’t have more stars. I’ve been coming to the Stanford’s in Clackamas for years, and I’ve never had a negative experience. From sitting in the bar with great cocktail servers that are extremely attentive and very fast pace moving. To being seated in the restaurant with an amazing dining experience. The food. Wonderfully and thoughtfully prepared. If something is wrong they are the first to accept blame, fix the problem and get your food out ASAP. Managers make it a point to go around and check on your table and actually talk to you as a guest. I have seen multiple times where a manager speaks to a guest who was less than impressed and fixed the issue before it ever escalated. The service, team and back of the house runs smoothly and the location is divine! Happy hour menu is TODIEFOR. They keep changing and updating and adding new delicious entrees that are at a great price, and great portion. 3−6pm and 9-Close. Come early for late happy hour! Normally there is a wait! But WELL worth it. Good job team!

Tried them for the first time last night, will never go back! Meat was VERY fatty! They bring the steak up to weight by throwing BIG chunks of fat on the plate, GROSS! Ordered mine med-rare got well done. One of us ordered a salad, it finally came about 15 minutes after everyone else’s food! AND the waitress had a really crappy attitude. Drinks weren’t that good, and everything VERY overpriced for what we got! Don’t waste your time! Go across the street to claim jumpers!

I called for reservations 3 weeks before Christmas. I had to wait an hour after my reservation to be seated, then the food was lousy at best. Thanks for the terrible Christmas dinner. Way too expensive for the quality of service, and food.

We’ve been here several times, always when we need a good protein hit or a decadent dessert. Very traditional, dark, quiet, good service, good food. Crème Brule is excellent. One of the more expensive restaurants in the area.

3.75 for an single fill iced tea — really. I think this is the last time we will make the visit to Stanfords. The last three visits to Stanfords has been subpar, with last night being less than subpar. I had a patty melt(14.95) and I have actually had a McDonald’s hamburger with more flavor than a 15 dollar burger from Stanfords. It’s too bad cause we used to really enjoy eating here, but we are done. Prices to high, service very poor and food quality fair to poor. Our waitress, although pleasant, never checked back in with us, forgot my wife’s beer, never refilled my iced tea and was generally unavailable until the time came to pay. Funny how that is?

The food there was decent. There are only a few specific items on the menu that I know are good quality. I would recommend the crème brûlée. My major problem that I had with this place is that it seems that all of the staff are more concerned with their own conversations rather than having one with their clientele. As soon as the manager walked into the room everyone walked away from each other and started doing work things pretending that that’s what they were doing all along. So it was an odd daycare moment. I have my specialty drink that is so delicious and since it’s not on their menu they decided to make up their own cost for it which I don’t mind. However it was way overpriced as it was and then the second time I go back there to the same bartender day raised it and also decided to not make me aware until I was given the bill about the recent cost. What we thought was going to be around a $ 60 a meal turned into over 100! You can say that maybe were harsh or have higher expectations, but keep in mind as well that the person that tagged along with us had this happen to them to. This place just like all of garden it has just gone downhill. At least all gardens Caesar salad is good and they also offer appetizers when they charge up the butt.

Food poisoning response. I have been a long time visitor to Stanford’s. I noticed they have changed the menu recently and it has more limited selections. Last night we visited. I ordered panko breaded Dijon chicken and my husband had mac and cheese with chicken. I found the entrée to be so lightly flavored as to almost be bland; and the mac and cheese was mostly MAC with not a lot of cheese. Our server was courteous and prompt, although so prompt that she brought and took away the dessert menu, before we had a chance to look at it. We did not share food and didn’t eat anything else in common that day. We both got violently ill that night. I called in the morning and the manager didn’t take my name or number, just said she would«make some notes and find out what happened.» How are they ever going to follow up with me if they didn’t take my contact information? I got the sense that she didn’t believe me(because no one else had called) but still I think it would have been nice to get a follow up call.

Been here about 3 times total. Beautiful sit down atmosphere and great friendly service, but the food kinda sucks. I don’t know how to describe it but I guess maybe overcooked bland food. Almost like it was just reheated and re-served to us. We even got the lobster the 2nd time and it didn’t taste fresh at all. Their food is just really sad, I’m sorry. However, when I get the crème brûlée everytime, it’s amazing.

We use this Standford’s as a go to place for business lunches. Their wine Wednesdays can’t be beat. The bar area is one of the better areas to sit in as I feel we get better service there. I’ve had some misses on orders being correct, but in general, they do a good job. The menu has gone through spurts of being great, then kind of blah. But at least they change things up every now and then. Again, I highly recommend this place for lunch with clients or for some relaxation after work. Try the English Cucumber drink. Very refreshing!

I’m not sure how I feel about a $ 14 hamburger or $ 18 Mac and cheese. Should I feel outrage at the prices or embarrassment at paying those prices? It was a good burger and the wife reports that it was good Mac and cheese. Service was cheerful but not reflective of the price(I was wistfully starting at an empty glass of tea for a while). Next time spend the additional $ 8 for their entry level steak and I’m sure I will feel happier. Or at least I will hope to feel happier.

Horrible horrible service, unauthentic sushi, and overpriced mediocre food. Cross the street and go to Claim Jumper, it’s much better.

The wait for the food to come took FOREVER! We sat down right away ordered right away and waited an hour for the food to come. But the food is very delicious.

Tried the Margherita pizza — pesto drizzle was OK, but it couldn’t over come the lack of decent tomato sauce or the lake of oil on the pizza. The center of the pizza was soggy but the edges of the crust were decent. Mushroom sushi was lackluster. Very few vegetarian items on the menu. Salad with chicken was over dressed and oily. Baja tacos were decent. Service and noise level were acceptable. I wouldnt go back since there are lots better choice nearby.

Pretty good salad considering the fact I make a point not to ever eat here but obliged a friend today! I will say we had excellent service!

The steak on my steak salad(which was beautifully presented) was fantastic! Buuuut, I found SEVERAL wilted/yucky pieces of lettuce in it(eww!!!) and the bread was dried out like it had been in the warmer all day. My strawberry lemonade was lukewarm and I had to steal ice from my husband’s ice water to chill it. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his prime rib dinner and it looked quite tasty(he loved the green beans). Our waitress was efficient and pleasant. Other than he nasty lettuce, it was good, but, if we return, I don’t think I’ll ever order a salad here again.

The food at Stanford’s is really not that impressive at all. There’s nothing on their menu that pops out to me that makes me say«Wow, that sounds good!» or «That’s something unique!» Everything here is very, very standard, and they charge a high price for the food you get. Typical chain restaurant. Burgers, sandwiches, chicken, fish. I’ve been here a few times years ago with my family, but there really isn’t much here to keep us coming back. In fact, we(my family and I) haven’t been here in years and don’t ever think of going to Stanford’s whenever we want to go out out eat within the area. I dined here recently to check out their all-day happy hour Sunday because, well, it was a Sunday night, it was late, and there wasn’t much else open in the area. Happy hour deals sounded appealing as well. However, even for happy hour, nothing appealing. I ended up ordering chicken strips with fries. Chicken strips. that was the most appealing item to me on their menu. Hm.

If having to rate our experience solely based off this experience I would say mediocre. We came during happy hour and used a Groupon which made our meal 10 dollars less but still came out over 30 dollars. We ordered the rib and ring for the starter and prime rib shared between the two of us. The rib and ring is literally 3 ribs and 1 onion ring. Very small portion size but I’ll be damned that 1 ½ rib was amazing. Seriously haha. Made me wish we shared a full rack and I’m sure I’d be giving out five stars instead of three. This was the highlight in my opinion. We also ordered the prime rib which i think ran 30 dollars. We ordered it medium and it was very much raw. This was really the low point of our experience. The mash and vegetables were good but the damn prime rib. Like I said in the beginning, if based solely on this experience i give three stars but had we ordered something else I’m sure I’d be giving higher marks. They just undercooked the prime rib and for that price it should have been better.

I don’t like Stanford’s, however, my friend asked me to meet her there for happy hour when she was home for the weekend so I obliged. I understand why she likes to come to this location, there are lots of parking spaces and, typically, there’s not a wait for seats at the bar. You don’t have buy a drink to get happy hour prices on the food. This time around, I thought the server was very attentive and all our needs were met. She got our orders right, refilled our drinks without being ask, and easy to find when needed. I got the mac n’ cheese and a Caesar side. Normally, when I ask for red pepper flakes… they tell me that they don’t have any. Of course, I always ask and she provided! The service this time around changed my impression of this establishment. Granted, I am still not a big fan of chain restaurants. My last experience was awful when we attempted to sit outside. All the other times, it has been consistent, decent food, affordable happy hour prices and times. I’ll just opt to sit inside from now on, the view of the parking lot isn’t that great even if it’s a nice day out.

Just ate one of the best meals I’ve had in a while! I had the sirloin with mushrooms sub the mash for sweet potato fries… oh the sweet potato fries… The steak was cooked perfectly and the mushrooms were good. Asparagus was also cooked well. Now to the best part… the sweet sweet sweet potatoes. They were surprisingly topped with bacon and a maple butter oh my goodness amazing. I devoured everything on my plate. I sat in the bar and service from Jacob was great!!!
