Been going here since they first opened. They have a ton of awesome stuff here. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Always love stopping by here and picking up a comic or 2

The first thing that strikes you about this store is how slick and appealing it looks. It’s well decorated with pleasant lighting, which can be unusual for comic book shops. The store is nicely laid out, with a great selection, including a MASSIVE graphic novel selection. The staff was very friendly; just everything you want in a shopping experience!

Some of my friends went to the shop but didn’t make it in time and had to look in from the window. But one of the workers came out and told them they could come in after close! They picked up some heroclix and were told they had some promos that were for tourneys that they just gave to my friends because they don’t run tournaments. I was shocked to hear how awesome the employees are here and how accommodating even after they closed up shop. I am going in today and am happy to spend my money at a great shop! We didn’t get your name employee working closing on Tuesday? But thank you so much for the excellent service.

Whenever I’m in old town Claremont I love to stop and check out A Shop Called Quest and Rhino Records. They are two«must stops» whenever I’m in town or eating at Eureka down the street. The shop doesn’t carry a lot of back issues and definitely is geared more toward those who collect graphic novels, funko pops, kidrobot toys, and other assorted knick knack items. They do a lot of cool one day art collectives that are typically themed with like ninja turtles and star wars which are always fun, mellow, and cool to check out. Like any comic book store this one in particular suffers from the same common annoying themes. THESTAFF. Every comic book store has the one or two employees who are just way too cool to be alive. They judge you with looks and sighs and eye rolls of you ask for any particular titles they may not personally enjoy. Well bad news, A Shop Called Quest has these same guys too. A couple of the guys there are great, super friendly, super engaging, always say hello when you come through the door. Then there’s a couple guys who act like you are just so beneath them for even asking whether a particular title is in stock. It’s guys like this that KILL the comic book shop experience. No one cares how many indie titles you read, how long you’ve been into comics for, etc. It doesn’t give you permission to act so condescendingly. If they could shape up their customer service, they’d be great. But there’s no way I could give five stars to such poor attitude.

I walked in today and purchased a few things. I got home and noticed the price tag on the item I bought was 14.99 was different then what was on the receipt 16.99. They over charged me by a couple dollars. No big deal. I went back to return it but they said no returns and gave me a gift card. Ill respect the no returns(even though they didn’t mention that, and nor is that on the receipt). but I asked the guy«helping» me what about the difference that you messed up on? Why would it be my responsibility to get a gift card for your mistake? He said«thank you, have a good day» and handed me the gift card and left the register to go back to what he was doing. Uncool. Terrible customer service. I will never go back there again.

I used to go to Frank And Sons for all my comic book needs but it was getting harder to go out that way with my schedule. I then found a small store in Ontario California which was AMAZING but they closed down. Tried Comic Madness, wasn’t a fan sadly. I finally stumble onto A Shop Called Quest and have been a regular customer ever since. The staff is always friendly and answer all my questions. They have a lot of cool collectibles and art pieces. I’ve bought a few Funko Pop’s and other figures as well as my regular comics. If I had to knock them down for anything is how limited their back issue selection is. But really with little space I can understand. I just have to do my best to get there and pick up what I want soon after release.

Great store! I really like this place. Just bought some cool stickers, everything was reasonably priced and the store was clean. Got some great collectibles and POP! Figurines for all you collectors. Very wide range of comics and graphic novels, and the staff is very friendly and informative. Love this place, any geeky or nerdy needs, I’m coming here!

Summary of 5Stars: Staff — Friendly, Helpful, Fun Products — Wide range of comics, AMAZING hand drawn posters, other cool toys and gadgets Atmosphere — Modern, Clean, Organized A Shop Called Quest has the perfect amount of everything in their store. Ranging from comics, to figures, great gifts for others(and yourself) pretty much line the shelves. The store itself is much cleaner and newer than the average comic book type store and the staff is friendly and helpful. Whether you’re an expert on all things Marvel and looking for a particular issue, or are looking for a gift and have no idea what you’re staring at in the store, the staff will help you find it. If you happen to be passing the store, I recommend stopping by if only just to browse, as there is just cool stuff everywhere in the store.

15⁄100 A diamond in the rough. Or perhaps a rough spot in a diamond. Either way you look at it, you don’t often see fun comic book stores anymore. Located in Claremont in the heart of shopping mania, this place is great. Comic books, books with artwork from multiple manga artists and the like. Also, lots of collectible figurines and tee shirts that only another comic/animé/manga lover would know or understand. Too bad it’s so far from me though.

«A shop called Quest» is an awesome shop for any comic book enthusiast and even new upcoming comic book geeks. They have all kinds of genres comics gifts and little gimmicks. Personally they would have gotten a four — five star review, but they give off a vibe is, if you’re not buying anything get out. It’s gets under my skin because I have purchased some Manga’s in the past and still get the cold shoulder. At the end of day they have awesome merchandise, but they need to cut out that type of mentality and give off a friendlier vibe.

I have over 2,000 comics and believe you me I have run the gamut of comic shops. A Shop Called Quest is the best in the area by a tremendous margin. The selection is great, the location is fantastic, and the most noteworthy element is the staff. These guys are wonderful. They are not pretentious in the slightest. They are helpful and well informed. I stop by whenever I am in the area and I suggest you do too.

I recently went to a movie theatre close by and came across this wonderful little store… I purchased the entire Star Wars Marvel collection and some«Big trouble In Little China» figurines, the store clerks were extremely helpful. I’ll definitely be shopping here again soon and if you’re ever in the Inland Empire area check out their store location in Redlands.

This is my everything. I love the shop, love the employees, love the selection, love the prices, and think it’s all just fantastic. Ask about the membership program if you think you’ll be going in regularly — you’ll make your money back on it, I promise. The staff are all super helpful and make it really easy to find what you’re looking for or figure out if they can get it for you. I wish every comic shop was like this.

There’s not too many comic books shops west of l.a. This place is by far the best place(next to frank and sons) I’ve found since moving out here. When you find what your looking for, that’s a good shopping experience in my book. When you find a place that surpasses your expectations, that’s great!!! Prices are on average but the cleanliness and organization will have me coming back soon in no time!

Been coming here off and on with my boys since it opened. Great selection for both kids and adults alike. Sad to say I won’t be coming back after an employee barked at my boy. Accused the kid of ripping a comic book. He didn’t notice I was his father standing behind him when he accused him of it and saw everything. I bit my lip and was«going» to continue our purchase which would have been close to $ 40 bucks… as we were about to ring it up, I said«next time do me a favor and don’t accuse my son of damaging anything»(had my 6 yr old ripped it I would have bought it, no worries). He pulled this macho nonsense and unprofessionally replied loudly«I saw it». I grabbed the merchandise from the check out counter and tossed it back… No thanks chump. Try scaring an adult next time your having shitty day.

I came here looking for a comic book for a piece in my wedding. We found exactly what we were looking for. I spent time catching up on some comics and discussed what happened to Donatello from the Ninja turtles with the gentlemen working. He was extremely helpful. If you need a comic or any help with info, this is the place to go. Great products, and great service.

Good amount of Funko pops here. Loads of merchandise likes shirts, posters, action figures, comics, graphic novels, and art books. I came here to look at what pop figues that they had in stock, plenty of Attack on Titan, Game of Thrones, and Ghostbusters from what I remember. They did have a few pops of Kuroshitsuji but no Ciel or Sebastian which I was eyeing for a while. The place was neat and organized.

This comic shop is located in the lovely Claremont area where shops and restaurants abound. The comic store is clean and organized There is a wide array of graphic novels And a few racks of comics. But if graphic novels are what you are searching for then look no further– you found the right place. When it comes to pop toys and action figures and shirts they also have plenty! the customer service– didn’t catch his name was absolutely great! we were greeted with smiles and never once made to feel like we weren’t welcomed. Such an awesome place to add to our mom and son places to do. Thank you shop called quest we will return

I don’t frequent a lot… okay, zero, comic book stores but I went in on a whim. Super clean and really well organized. The employees are really knowledgable and helpful. I had a few graphic novels I planned to pick up and asked for some recommendations based on what I already had. Wound up picking up two new series I had not heard of. Prices were good. They’re set by the publisher so the store doesn’t really have much say in that area anyways. Loads of merchandise and plenty of stuff for all of your geek needs. From Doctor Who, X-Files, Firefly… and loads of manga and other über-nerd stuff I know nothing about. They are even open until 8pm on Sundays which was the only reason I was able to go in and purchase anything in the first place. They also offer a one time $ 20 lifetime membership that offers 20% off all comics, 10% off all graphic novels for life. Pretty sweet if this is your local comic shop.
