Gash is a pleasant and honest person who does a great job. He took precautions to maintain a clean area around our free-​standing fireplace when he cleaned out the chimney. He checked the chimney from the roof outside as well for possible anomalies. His pricing is very fair. I have already referred a friend to Gash. We will be sure to use his services in the future.

Excellent service! He came twice. Once to check our chimney for safety. We were new in the house and did not know if it had ever been swept. He offered to come take a look on a rainy day. He told us it was safe so we could have fires, but he had to wait out the rain before he could come back to sweep it and do a full inspection. He charged us nothing for the first visit! He swept it today and left everything clean as a whistle! So friendly, knowledgable and trustworthy. Highly recommend.

Gash is an honest hard working guy that showed up on time and was up-​front and honest about me not needing a cleaning. He inspected both my fireplaces, gave me a tutorial on the damper functions and gave me guidance on my gas line upgrade I’m planning in the bedroom. Instead of charging me $ 125 we agreed on, he said he can’t accept that much. I gave him $ 50 for his time and we both were happy. Instead of ripping me off GASH was fair and I’ll use him again!

Gash Chimney is very professional and gave excellent recommendations with excellent and fair pricing. We had him install a chimney cap for much cheaper than other quotes and using the same product as the other chimney sweeps I called. He also provided helpful information about the build/​recommendations for our chimney — some expensive «concerns» from another chimney inspection was (by his opinion) not a concern or unusual for California (I guess there are different fireplace builds/​standards for the east coast or areas that use a fireplace more versus Southern California from what I understood?). Gash mentioned that he went to school for civil engineering which I felt added to his credibility. Thank you!

Sorry this has taken me so long to post. If everyone had the attitude that Gash has regrading his work and the pride he takes in it… this world would be different place. This job is dirty and messy, but Gash kept everything clean inside and out. I was so pleased with the job he did and will have him back yearly.

A real professional in all aspects. He’ll now become my permanent go to person whenever I have the need for maintenance of my fireplace and chimney. Set up an appointment in the morning, confirmed via text, showed up on time, did an excellent job, fixed my damper too, and at a fair price.

I always take an average of Unilocal reviews and google reviews when I hire people to do work on my house. I took a risk today and scheduled Gash to clean out my chimney since they do not have many reviews. He showed up on time and gave me a 30 minute «heads up». He first handed me a card and introduced himself. He laid down protective measures all around the fireplace. He cleaned the chimney and readjusted the flue as it was not opening all the way. He sweep the chimney from bottom and top and left no mess or dust floating around. The spark arrestor the house was bought with was just chicken wire, so he showed me a proper one and gave me the size so I could shop around since I am a penny pincher. I am satisfied with the service and the job performed. I built a fire today and smoke flies right out instead of backing up like before. Total time was about 1 hr from show up to drive off.
