I love Maxx Salon and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. As you walk in you are treated with a warm welcome. You are offered the drink of your choice and the entire experience is relaxing and pleasant. Fina does an incredible job with my long hair. It’s rare to find a stylist that reads your mind and understands exactly what you want. My entire look has changed because of my hair and I’m grateful to have her personalized attention. Thank you for your extra attention.

Just like most of the people here, I went to Fina because of the Unilocal reviews. I’m here to warn you about my experience and hopefully you don’t make the same mistake I did.
I went to Fina for a total of five times. The first time was a haircut. I liked it so I scheduled for hair color the week after. We just moved to Ontario and my old stylist was in Redlands and it was just too tiring of a commute that’s why I figured i’d try a new one. BIG MISTAKE.
The first time I came in for a color, we talked about going platinum blonde eventually. She said she didn’t want to ruin my hair so we would do it in several sessions. I was actually pretty happy about that because it seemed like she genuinely cared for the integrity of my hair. So even though I left the salon that day a tad lighter than I expected and also orangey, I still went back the third time.
The third time that I came in, she weaved blonde highlights to my hair. It came out nicely but I had to return a couple days later because she didn’t go all the way to my roots and I looked like I had my hair done about a month ago and not a few days before. That should have given me the idea that maybe she’s not really as good as I thought she was. Rookie mistake.
The fourth time I came in my hair was light enough she said that I could go platinum blonde already. I asked her if she could lift my hair to white platinum blonde and she said she could. Turns out she can’t. My hair turned out sooooooo yellow I looked like big bird. Not kidding. She said I had to come back the week after so that she could lift it some more. I wore a hat the whole week. I came back because I gave her the benefit of the doubt that she could fix the mess that she made. WRONG. It got even worse. My hair ended up being tricolor. White/​yellow/​orange. The root color was even different from the rest of the head. I couldn’t even fake a smile at the salon when I was leaving. I didn’t know how bad it was until I got home and my husband said. «What happened to your hair?» YES. IT WAS THAT BAD (Please refer to pictures). For a guy to be able to notice bad hair, it must be really bad. I ended up crying the whole day. I couldn’t even believe that she would let me walk out of the salon looking like that.
Aside from messing up the color, my hair is totally fried. So much for not ruining my hair. Pictures don’t lie. Go see for yourself. I still can’t believe how a stylist can do that bad of a dye job. Seriously. I can’t believe I paid her so much money to destroy my once healthy hair. I had to go to a different salon the next day to have it fixed! Please think twice before going to Fina. She’s a nice person BUT A HORRIBLE HAIR DRESSER. Bring your business somewhere else.

First off, I’d just like to say how wonderful & friendly everyone is. They’re all so welcoming. The accommodations were great! Fina worked up a miraculous transition on my hair. I loved how it came out. Balayage is certainly the way to go. Her assistant Megan (I’m sorry if I didn’t spell it correctly), was so nice. Her head massage is amazing! I wish she did it longer, lol!

Absolutely in LOVE with my hair color/​cut… Fina you are awesome!!!
I had my baby about a month ago and I was due for a mommy makeover, while pregnant I went to Carltons and paid $ 300+ for them to basically fry my hair!!! … Fina is very friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to hair. She did a quick consultation before and listened to me as far as what I wanted. Fina didn’t only give me great color and cut she did not damage my air at all. I will definitely be coming back to see her next time (you got yourself a new customer). This salon in general is awesome, everyone is courteous and very friendly, they make you feel right at home.

About six months ago, I needed a change in hairstyle and color and found Fina through Unilocal.So glad I did, because I love what she’s done to my hair! I’ve been going to her every 5 – 6 weeks since then and couldn’t be happier with her work.
