My husband and I had lunch here. Just very mediocre. I had a Caesar salad with shrimp — lettuce was slightly warm and the dressing tasted like it was out of a bottle. My husband had their steak bomb special — the cheese sauce was similar to melted Velveeta and the roast beef was tough. On a positive note — the service was excellent. Will probably not be back any time soon.

I’ve been here several times over the last few years, and had always found it really good, consistent, and the menu featured great choices. This time, we had to wait 25 minutes to be seated after our reservation, waited another 20 minutes to order our food, they were sold out of 4 or 5 items, and they served us nearly raw beef for an appetizer. They charged us for the replacement dish, which took a while. It seemed they held our dinners for the appetizer replacement, and our dinner was dried out and pretty cold. I hope this was just a really bad night for them, but it will certainly make me re-think visiting New Socials.

Great environment and food. We went for drinks and apps and it was very fast. I suggest the crab dip and the egg roll trio! The wait staff is also very friendly.

Went here after visiting North Country Smokehouse on the other side of town. We had the spring roll appetizer combo which was absolutely delicious. One chicken, one pulled pork, and one black bean. All good with some delicious dipping sauces. The North Country Burger(featuring North a country applewood smoked bacon, of course) was excellent. It probably was among the best burgers I have had, including Minetta Taverns’ burger in NYC. Cooked exactly on point, juicy, with a fresh brioche bun. Nice job, New Socials. Oh and the price point was excellent.

I went to this restaurant with my friend because it was open and looked good from outside. We were sat down by the really nice waitress and handed the menus. She asked us for drinks, but we both decided to get water. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and it was amazing! This was probably the best chicken salad sandwich I’ve ever had! It came with fries which were alright. The décor was really nice and had a elegant«cozy wood» feeling. Overall, this place was really nice and had amazing food. Ordered egg roll sampler to start. Chicken was very dry and pulled pork tasted«sweaty”/microwaved. Mentioned it to server but no visit from Manager. Chicken fried steak was not tenderized enough so it was one big greasy mess. The steak was covered in the cream gravy and the excess oil was on the bottom causing the crispy batter to be mush. Sugar snap peas were good. Mashed was good but under seasoned. First visit so will probably try again. Three employees by host station when we were leaving not one said goodnight or thank you.

Had a bad experience, you never know if this is the exception or the rule. First, the good. Very nice décor, exposed brick makes for a nice atmosphere. We were just eating light, bruchetta caprese and crab rangoon dip. The food was pretty flavorful and presented well, things were going great… Until I found a long hair in the dip. Now, I don’t freak out over things like this. Mistakes happen. When brought to our servers attention, she apologized and said that of course there would be no charge. She offered to bring another one, and that would have been the end of it, with a four star review. But my bill showed full price, charging me for the replacement dish. I double checked with her and she said it was very much intentional. Truth told, you probably won’t have the same experience, but it turned me off.

Probably the best place in Claremont. The atmosphere is great, and the food is incredible. Go out on a date for Burger Night and you won’t regret it! $ 8 for the best burgers in Claremont, with rotating«special» burgers. Also Pasta Night is a lot of fun if you are looking for a more expensive, classier date. Definitely go!

Not impressed. The food was ok. My husband finished his burger, begrudgingly, before anyone even came by the table to ask if we needed anything, he needed mayo that he never got. We attempted to flag wait staff down but they were in the hall/kitchen area avoiding us. Probably wouldn’t be back. Maybe 3 star food, definitely 2 star service.

The Americano Burger was delicious! There was way more bun than burger though. The fries were great and it was a great serving size. The eggroll sampler was amazing!!! It was a little chilly though so I’d recommend bringing a sweater. Heather our waitress was so sweet! We plan on coming back for the burger challenge during a night she is working!

Enjoyed our meals… we were going to try the new pasta bar but we’re put off by the pasta, it was in small baggies and ready to be warmed up… it didn’t have much appeal.

Brie en croute is delicious! Our server Danielle was spectacular. She was very helpful and always had a smile on her face. Great place to grab a beer or spend a special night out. The wings and chowder are delicious too. Enjoy!

I went this past Thursday with some friends for dinner. Thursday has burger specials at New Socials. We were seated promptly, had a great waitress and trainee, though I don’t recall their names. The meal was disappointing though. From the time we placed our order it took an easy half hour for the food to be delivered. The restaurant was moderately busy, definitely not in the weeds. I had ordered an asian themed burger, medium rare and upgraded the fries to onion rings. The burger was temped correctly, unlike some of my table-mates’ burgers, but my onion rings were room temperature. The burger was advertised as being teriyaki glazed, I couldn’t tell you if it was or not because zero teriyaki flavor came through while I was eating. The bok choy and cucumber flavors were nice with the burger, but indeed… nothing special. On the upside, good quality meat, excellent service. Update: Return to Burger Night(Thursday 4÷2÷15) Got there about 5:30, the restaurant was mildly busy. We were seated promptly and had drink service in under 5 minutes. Unfortunately I don’t have a head for names or I’d call our waitress by name and say what an excellent job she did. We had found the table very wobbly, she got down on hands and knees to set some shims to take care of the problem when she brought our drinks out. I ordered the Kansas City burger(BBQ burger essentially). We waited about 20 minutes from the order time for our burgers, which with 3 of the 4 burgers being asked for on the well side(2 well, 1 M Well, 1 M Rare[me]) isn’t bad. My onion rings were a perfect temperature. My burger was temped properly. But yet again, my table mates did not have properly temped burgers. Every single one of them were pink, cooked Medium at best. I found the flavors of my burger to pop much better than last time and the house-made BBQ sauce was wonderful.

I can’t believe this place is so well rated on Unilocal!Perhaps the kitchen was off but the food was mediocre at best. I got a salad, which was fresh but nothing special and the fried raviolis. The raviolis were like a cheese filet or something. And bland! Ugh. And my husband ordered the ribs and spent the entire time picking little tiny bones out of it because there were tons. My martinis were a bit weak as well. For what we paid I would expect better. The atmosphere was pretty dark and gloomy too.

Came at 730 on a Friday, nervous at first with how few customers were in, but the nerves didn’t last long! Had the lettuce wrap app which was great! Wife had the steak tips, I had the mahi mahi(and some steak tips), both were absolutely fantastic, and would get again, although based on the reaction of the customer next to us, I may be getting the samosas next time, she couldn’t stop talking about it. Drinks were very well made, had a Manhattan and a beer, my wife had a couple martinis, not too strong, but definitely not weak, perfectly done! Desert was great, had the Crème Brûlée and wife had the cheesecake. Not sure why this place isn’t packed on a nightly basis, it really is that good! Definitely coming back for more. Only knock is that the live music tonight night have been a bit on the loud side, other then that, nothing to complain about at all. If you’re in the area, stop by, you won’t be sorry!

There were several elements of my New Socials experience that were supernatural and even fairy tale in essence. The first was that my boyfriend and I walked in and were invisible to the hostess who continued to text through our humble inquiry, «are thoust open???» Luckily our Prince Charming arrived in the form of a kind waiter who gave us the magic kiss of the drink menu which while not plentiful was qualityyyy. The most magical element however was the burger! Fresh organic Vermont cow; spend the extra fifty cents for fancy cheese! Even the mushrooms are each a single slice of deep, sparkling flavoooor. The fries and fresh, SOFT brioche bun(who the hell ever has a soft brioche it’s like finding a four leafed unicorn) created a whole filling experience. I’ll be visiting this place frequently when I visit NH.
