The good: Good salsa, good guac(had it made at the table), good chips, decent frozen margaritas(generic but strong), good beans, really good combo fajitas. The bad: Asked to be seated outside. Sat down at the table and it was the cheapest, flimsiest table I have ever seen. Wobbled, bounced around, brutal. Went inside to eat at an actual table. Just says a lot about the management. Also, below avg. rice. The ugly: Was given a tiny amount of sour cream for the fajitas. Asked for more. Was charged a dollar for an enormous amount(basically what we should have been given in the first place). Also, no shredded cheese is given with the fajitas(first time I’ve ever encountered that). Asked for some. Was charged a dollar. And watch out for the shrimp in the fajitas. They leave the tail on for some reason so you have to pull it off yourself. All in all I’d go back but would stipulate ahead of time with the waiter about the fajitas and what was expected.

My husband and I had a great lunch here! Excellent food! The queso with beef tasted great with chips and salsa. We had beef and chicken fajitas basically. But they came out in these lava rocks freakin awesome!

One of the best burritos I have ever had. Everyone was very friendly and the service was great. We enjoyed everything about our dinner. The portions where large; you got alot for the money.

Out for a quick lunch after errands and my first choice was full. Wanted Mexican so stopped in here. Walking in no one seemed to want to wait on me, 6 – 8 people standing around talking and I had to walk up and ask to be seated. Still not good, seemed to not care if he had a job or not, didn’t even ask for the drink order when sitting me down. Brought the chips and salsa, rather bland, then asked about my drink, it the took awhile before he got my order. Never saw him again until I ran him down to get a drink refill. Nice polite man brought me my meal, chicken burrito and taco. Food was hot but portions smaller than other restaurants though probably all I needed but just plain in taste. Overall I find other places a better value with a higher level of food than here. With the poor service I probably will not return for awhile.

My husband and I absolutely LOVE this place! The food is great. the made to order guacamole is to die for! They have some great weekly specials. We’ve always had great service. This is a regular dinner spot for us at least once a week!

This place was recommended by a colleague of mine and she was on point. I’ve been here several times and they have not disappointed. I’ve tried their bang bang enchiladas(amazing), carnitas enchiladas, and carnitas plate. Free chips and salsa while you wait for your food to come out, chips are freshly made btw. Salsa is ok but I highly recommend their guacamole. It’s prepared at your table and is delicious. Out of the plates I’ve tried the carnitas was divine(Carnitas is pork cooked in pork lard). It came with rice and beans, which were also great. Can’t go wrong with this place!

This is a great place to eat. The service was impeccable and the table side guacamole is the best. Highly recommend if you like Mexican food

This place has very good food! The flavored are very unique! The ambience and atmosphere is clean and«upscale» as they call it. It is well worth a visit if you are In the mood for Mexican food.

I really like El Banquete and think it’s the best Mexican in Claremore. The tableside guacamole is fantastic! I’ve had the vegetable quesadilla and the burritos… both were very good. The soft taco I had was underwhelming tho. The portions arent huge& feed baggy so you don’t leave feeling completely stuffed. I like that it’s not greasy Mexican food, and I like the square plates& the food presentation. Staff is friendly& the restaurant part has been revamped from what was there before so it’s a nice space. The restrooms are kinda cruddy. They should’ve spiffed them up a bit too. Thats all I can complain about tho… Good place with good food!

Okay Mexican restaurant: not outstanding, just okay. Chips were warm, salsa peppery, and guacamole was made fresh tableside. The service was lacking(drink refilled just once and only two visits total from our waitress). I was disappointed in my meal: the tamale was yummy, but they poured ground beef and cheese on top(who does that?) My burrito ground beef lacked any cheese or sour cream or lettuce and the beef had no flavor or spice. It disappoints me when Mexican places stick beef in a tortilla and call it a burrito: laziness is what I call it! The cheese enchilada was good, and so was the rice. The refried beans weren’t memorable. Except for the guacamole made tableside, nothing really distinguishes this restaurant from any other Claremore Mexican restaurant: fast, semi-tasteless food with no spices to kick them over the edge and make them memorable.

1 great dish, one OK dish, and one meh dish. Fish tacos — awesome. Great. Highly recommended. Fajitas(beef). OK. a bit dry. but acceptable. Taco salad(beef). Meh. Someone that was with me thought it was at best average. it looked like it wasn’t their strength. Stay with the fish tacos and you won’t go wrong(if you like that kind of stuff). Lots of alternatives in Claremore for Mexican. but definitely worth a shot.
