The worst bagels, more like thick toast… If you think there«great» you haven’t had a real bagel. Real bagels are soft and chewy with a nice crispy outside. Your better off buying frozen lenders bagels at Shoprite.

Place is cheap which is good. The food is alright, but nothing special that will keep me coming back. There are definitely other breakfast places that are local that serve better food for similar prices. The service is horrible, often times forgetting my food. Definitely wouldn’t come back. There are lots of things that are wrong with this place.

Used to like their bagels a lot but they are terrible now. Not sure why the change. The people who work there are also rude. Bagel with cream cheese is $ 2.50 and it used to be a $ 1.98. Bagels 4 U is so much better! And is now my new bagel spot.

The bagels are nothing special. It was sort of convenient for me on my way to work. The first time I went in through the wrong door and they scolded me like a child. I shouldn’t have been able to use the door in the first place. And then two weeks later I thought I would be considerate and move to another area of the counter to fix my coffee. This way other people would not have to wait for me. The owner raises his voice and says I’m not supposed to be here and tried to grab the sugar away from me. I should have just walked out. He and his staff all look miserable(no wonder why, they work for him!). Never been back, never will return. They need to learn how to deal with customers in a more courteous way.

Bagels are great and the staff is friendly! It’s my go-to bagel place. This gem is tucked away behind a strip mall and totally worth the stop. Never disappointed

I typically go here because it’s the closest bagel spot. I just don’t understand how they always mess up orders. Today I ordered egg and cheese on an everything bagel, which was written on the form they use. I got home to find a plain bagel instead of everything. I had also ordered an iced coffee which they forgot to give me after two reminders. The entire trip was a half hour minus the drive. Last time we ordered two cinnamon raisin one with butter and one with cream cheese. We received two with butter. I can’t imagine what happens to people who have more complicated orders. I’ll likely just drive the extra 7ish minutes to Bagel Château because they’re the better place overall. It’s shame because I remember this place being much better and don’t know what’s happened. The bagels are decent but there are far better options in this area.

There was a bagel shop across the street from my high school so I a had bagels for breakfast nearly every morning. Fresh, still warm from the oven. So hard for most bagel places to measure up to my memory. For this place, price, taste, service all good. The bagels could be fresher, since they make them in the back, and a few more slices of cold cuts would have been better.

Been going to clark bagels on and off during the years. But this is the last time, i will buy from them, they must change their recipe they are not consistent, today they were doughy and tasted defrosted? Even my son said they didn’t taste right and he said why didn’t I go to Manhattan bagel in Union where i usually go. Well next week I’ll be headin to Manhattan bagel and say good bye to Clark Bagels!

I used to come here frequently for lunch with a friend when I worked in the area. One day my friend ordered a sandwich and went to pay. She realized she was a dollar short(it happens) and the owner told her she still owed money. I ended up giving her the dollar because the owner was not budging. I didn’t mind at all but c’mon to the owner. As often as we visited your establishment you couldn’t cut her some slack for $ 1?!

This bagel shop is hidden in the back of a strip mall. They make the most delicious bagels along with different cream cheeses and salads. My favorite salad is their tuna salad. It has chunks of tuna, celery, & mayo. Their whitefish salad is equally good. Their bagels are crispy on the outside and not to doughy on the inside. I like that they make a whole wheat everything bagel. It’s the perfect balance of nutty and sweet when u add all the toppings like sesame seeds, garlic, onions, poppy seeds & salt. I love to add their tuna salad on top of the everything bagel. It makes a great lunch, just add a cup of coffee and ur set. Their breakfast sandwiches hit the spot in the morning. My go to sandwich is Taylor Ham, Egg n Cheese on a sesame bagel. Sometimes I just stop in when I’m in the area a buy a dozen or two. There is a large parking lot which is shared by many different stores and restaurants. The staff is friendly, and this place can get very busy during the morning rush. I must say they do move everyone along. I would definitely recommend stopping in and trying it out for yourself.

Will think twice before buying bagels here again. I ordered two egg sandwiches, which aren’t cheap here. When I got home I discovered they mixed up the sandwiches. It’s about a 30 minute round trip to the store, so now I had to waste my time to get this fixed. This is the third time they have messed up my order here. And they were hardly apologetic and didn’t do anything extra to show me they cared.

Pet peeve of mine with bagel places. If you just make one product, wouldn’t you think you would perfect it? Yet so many bagelrias sell sub standard bagels. A great bagel should be somewhat crisp on the outside and chew on the inside. there is no crisp here. The bagels lack character entirely. Otherwise the staff is pretty good. Go to bagels 4 u in kenilworth and you will see the difference a good bagel makes

By far the worst place to get bagels. It’s currently 10am on a Sunday morning and they don’t have any cinnamon raisin bagels?! Is this a joke?! What a fail. And even if you go in there and they manage to have your preferred bagel available, you’ll have to deal with the angry PMSing blonde lady who is there all the time and speaks broken English. Honestly if I see her in there I cringe because she is so rude and disgusting. All in all this place is terrible, the food isn’t great, and they will almost never have your bagel available unless you want plain. I’ll be taking my business to Manhattan bagel from now on and avoid the awful nature of clark bagels!

When I moved here from Manhattan, I thought good bagels would be hard to find. These are excellent – easily the best I have tasted in NJ. Long, but fast moving lines on weekends. Family run and they have been here for decades.

Decided to try Clark Bagels instead of Colonia Hot bagels since my last experience was underwhelming. I definitely had a better experience here. Ordered the taylor ham, egg and cheese on an everything bagel. The service is quick, and even though there’s a line inside, they’re pumping out orders fast. $ 5 minimum CC charge I can appreciate it, since its $ 10 at other bagel shops I’ve been to. Very satisfied with my order and the taylor ham was cooked just to my liking. Its a bit of a drive from where I live but since its the best option around, I don’t mind on days I’m in the mood for a breakfast treat.
