Worst bagel I have ever had. Horrible service. Seems like bagels are machine made. Does not even deserve one star

I lived close to here for three months and went here several times a week. The bagel sandwiches are very good and the bagels are fresh everyday. The staff is friendly. I definitely recommend this place.

Spoiler alert: I just moved from NYC to Rahway and I’m still craving bagels and Bacon, Egg and Cheese on a roll for breakfast.
This place??? UTTERLY RIDICULOUS. $ 9 for a bacon, egg and cheese on a roll??? I could buy 3 of them in NYC for that price.
I had to ask 3 times for price verification. They seem to make up the prices as they go along and the old couple running the place can barely hear each other or you. The young men working with them seem tortured.
Never again! I’ll go to Dunkin and I’m not even a fan.

Ordered for pick-​up. Went home, order was completely wrong. Blt with no lettuce, wrong bread and one order was never put in the bag. I understand it can be busy but they had 4 people plus the owner.

Awesome bagels, especially when it comes out fresh. They make authentic bagels which is a rare quality actually, most bagels nowadays are always soft and gigantic because it’s actually baked like normal bread and then packaged out. A real bagel, unless frozen, doesn’t have a shelf-​life of more than a day. This place makes real bagels. They still use vats and make the dough from scratch. The bagels change size depending on the weather since it effects the rise of the dough, but I’ve never had an issue with the size. This is a mom and pop bagel store that, while it may run at the pace of a mom and pop store, is really delicious and authentic. The price is right and has maybe had a 25 cent increase in the 20 years it’s been open — wild if you think about actual cost inflation. I LOVE their sausage, egg and cheese — salt, pepper, ketchup on an everything bagel. That’s my go-​to. Check this place out :)

Slow service, empty place and the worse…25 cents if you use a credit card.
It took me 10 mins to get an egg cheese on a roll when there was no one else in the bagel shop. I rather go to a place thats more lively and has crowd but where the service is good.

HORRIBLE! Why can’t I give 0 Stars?
$ 8.99 for a lenders sized everything bagel with ONE SLICE of ACME smoked salmon, didn’t have red onion or the capers that I ordered with the bagel instead I stopped the lady preparing the «sandwich» from putting a half inch thick slice of yellow onion on the salmon. The «iced vanilla coffee was given to me in a paper cup as they had no freaking lids for their plastic cups so that was wonderful when it leaked into my cars cupholder, I guess I am lucky because what was left was disgusting (worst iced coffee ever). The sun-​dried tomato bagel that was ordered toasted with cream cheese was barely warm. Hope you save that $ 16.49 you stole from me because your service and bagels SUCK

Do not go here! They don’t deserve your money! Tried to get a cinnamon raisin bagel toasted, without anything on it and they told me «no you have to get bitter or cream cheese, we are unable to sell just a toasted bagel». Seriously unreal. Save your money terrible customer service.

Bagels are small here and they completely nickel and dime you. I was coming here every morning for breakfast because of the location, and one morning I asked for a cup for the drink I bought (that came in a plastic container) bc it was too sweet and I wanted to add water and they said they’d have to charge me for a cup. .15 cents — really??? So I paid and I won’t be returning. Also, the service is super slow so I would always call in my order 15 minutes in advance for just an egg sandwich. Also, coffee is always old and stale tasting.

The bagel shop has been making their bagels smaller and smaller. They are very expensive for the size and quality of the bagel. They are very clean but I remember coming here as a kid and getting that bagel you were craving.

Food here is great :) the people that work there are very friendly, bagels are made in the store. I definitely prefer this over the quick check or dunkin donuts.

The food here is not terrible, just a generic bagel joint. Usually get the bacon egg and cheese, which compared to other places is good but not great. The big problem here is that the service is slow. Super slow. Now normally I know it takes a few min to get a fresh B/​E/​C and i’m cool with that but this places takes forever. Even when I just go to order bagels it seems like an eternity before I’m out the door. Also went there last Monday and it was closed, I guess they think people don’t eat breakfast on a Monday? With many other choices around I’d say skip this place unless you have an hour to kill.
