Clark Public Library

This library has been around for a long time, and I’ve been coming here ever since I was in high school. Before, it used to be attached to the Clark Police Station. Following that, they relocated to a new building. They have plentiful parking in the back of the library.
The library itself has two floors. The first floor is where the children’s section is located. The DVD and music CD sections are located on this floor too. Finally, the computers for web browsing and the area for checking out books are on this floor as well.
The second floor contains various periodicals and newspapers on racks. Different genres of books (history, mystery, cooking, etc.) are available on the shelves of this floor. They also have tables with power outlets on the floor for those who wanted to read, do homework, and/​or surf the WIFI on their own electronic devices in a quiet environment. Some carrels are also on this floor as well.
The WIFI here is fast enough for streaming (as long as you have earphones), downloading, and uploading content. However, when a extremely large group of people converge onto the network simultaneously, the network would not work at all. This happened during the «post-​Sandy» period, when residents had no power and needed to get online for communication purposes. The problem was, the WIFI just stopped working abruptly due to the convergence, which was very inconvenient. For this, we had to switch over to the web browsing computers.
Speaking of the computers, they have a small amount available with a one-​hour maximum time limit. Patrons would have to scan their library cards, and then the system would assign them to a computer station. The internet speeds on the computers were great. Once in a while when I come here, I would utilize their web browsing computer.
I used to borrow music CDs here. They have a limited selection from every genre (pop, rock, dance, hip-​hop, etc.). Maybe you’ll find something that you would like to listen to. I know I did long ago.
They have a great selection of DVDs here. Genres include horror, comedy, romance, drama, action, adventure, and fantasy. Sometimes when I’m here, I would borrow DVDs that fall under the action, adventure and comedy genres. They do charge a fee for the newest releases, but it’s free to borrow everything else.
The shelves in the library are very organized. Also, the fact that this library has power outlets on the floor is a huge plus, especially since the one in my hometown doesn’t have any. This makes finding an open power outlet easy here, unlike the other library in my area. Overall, I’m a fan.
