Very New Yorkish but good. Ask for the free dip and pretzels, very good. I had a wedge salad and really enjoyed the dressing. My husband had the chicken and waffle. A little strange pair for me, but he liked it. A bit pricey and menu selection a bit limited. If you are in the area, it is worth a drop by.

Stopped in today, again, since it’s been too long away. Excellent as always… smiles all around. Brought a friend with me and he wants to come back. It was a burger lunch and I made a great choice coming. Chef Eric made his rounds and it was nice to see him. Folks, this place is seriously underutilized for lunch. Get on it! The burgers were great, the beer selection just keeps growing… the possibilities are endless. Chef is always so attentive to the details and strives to please all palettes with something worthy. You won’t regret your decision unless you are chain restaurant lover, then there’s no hope for you with your endless breadsticks and salad. If paragon offered a stock buy in, I’d be on it in a heartbeat.

2nd time at Paragon. I saw the article on about«best wings in NJ». but I came here for the buffalo bacon dip. It’s on happy hour menu so only 6 dollars and well worth it! Just as good as first time. I got the«voo doo sauce» on my wings. Very good but LIGHTCOATING(in my opinion not tossed enough). I’m sitting at the bar for the 2nd time. The guys they have behind the bar are very inviting, respectful, personal, overall a pretty solid bar staff(and I work in this business so I’m a good judge) — Happy hour All Day on Thursdays is awesome. Def be back

This place is solid. Came here for a birthday with a group of 6, the space itself is big… and gets pretty packed. But the waitstaff were all super friendly and attentive. I had the chicken and waffles and the pecan pie martini(drinks were pricey given the location) — both were delicious although the chicken was a tad dry. With all of the other favors going on in that dish it kind of concealed that. My friends got the duck quesadilla, the steak, pork chops, short ribs. All of it was okay — the quesadilla didn’t live up to the hype in my opinion. Overall it was good, but didn’t knock my socks off. I would come back to try more, though. Very interesting food combinations and what looks to be a pretty good brunch deal.

This is a nice local bar. Came here for some drinks after dinner. It was pretty busy on a Friday night. They have a good selection of beers on tap. The bartender was nice and helped me select a good beer. Didn’t try the food but the photos on Unilocal look so yummy, definitely will be back to try.

Only been to PTT once, and I can’t wait to come back! Everything I had from the beer flight, which is the best option for your money if you’re like me and like to try a variety of beers, to the DELICIOUS burger, the Bacon Eater. It’s not easy to find a place like this in the area with the variety and quantity of great craft beer to go along with delicious food, and PTT achieves both with flying colors. The time my wife and I went, we showed up around 6:30 and had no problem getting seated right away. The attentive staff checked on us frequently and the prices here are I would say very reasonable for the quality of what you’re getting. Overall, one of my new favorite places and will be frequenting here more often!

Neat little place in clark. Serves up a very decent selection of craft beer, along with some gastropub-style eats. Pretty impressed on the food and drink. The wings are very solid– voodoo ftw. The truffle fries are very solid as well. Aside from the wings, i had the wild boar burger which was pretty fantastic and should be on everyone’s go-to list. Good food. Good drink. Very good reason to get me to briefly leave NYC. aside from a great tIme with the best friends.

I came in on a Saturday for a late lunch, and now I’m looking for any excuse to make my way to Paragon. Tucked in a shopping mall, this does not seem like an ideal location, but once you’ve eaten at Paragon, you feel like you’ve been let in on Clark’s greatest secret. I ate at a table in the bar, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. They offer a myriad of craft beers, and short descriptions for each. I ordered a flight of beers and the Bacon-Eater Burger, with their Pretzel appetizer to start. The cheddar ale sauce for the pretzels was perfectly balanced flavors, and not too thick. The whole grain mustard and fig jam complimented the board perfectly. The burger. If this burger is any hint as to how good the rest of the food is, I’m in foodie heaven! Bacon onion jam, slab bacon, and a perfectly cooked, not-too-thin patty. This restaurant met my expectations, and then some.

Heard plenty of good things about this place so I finally decided to try it out with a friend. Glad I made a reservation as it was packed on a Friday night at 8pm. Menu was robust offering unique dishes in every category. Atmosphere and waitress were great, was quite noisy at times but I suppose that’s expected for a busy night. I’d definitely go again…

Great service and delicious food is enough reason to recommend this cool eatery! The folks at Paragon really went out of their way to ensure that my family and I had a top-notch experience. Our server, Celina, was everything you want in a server; patient, informed, friendly. The food was served quickly. We ordered all tapas; Tuna Tartare flatbread that had just enough punch to get you started. Then the fried calamari and charturie and cheese plate paired with a nice Malbec rounded out the evening. We recommend this restaurant not only for the hep crowd, but for folks with kids as well.

Figured it’s about time for an update here. My friends and I have been back a few times since my last review and I am proud to say that we have developed a pretty good relationship with the servers. They are always accommodating and never hesitate when you ask them to make a drink that is uncommon. With that said, the bar gets pretty packed during happy hour. If you are coming with a large group, be sure to get here earlier to grab a table. Also the burgers here are worth getting and are cooked to a perfect medium rare!

I feel as though I want to give this place another try. The food was good, but not magical. I can’t give a review on any of the beer or cocktails at the moment because I’m pregnant and therefore, alcoholically useless. They seemed to have a pretty decent selection though. Food is the area in which I shine for now… My husband and I started with the calamari which was pretty good. I liked that there was a kick to the dish between the marinara sauce and cherry peppers. A little greasy though. We both ordered the Wild Boar Burger. It was an okay burger but we were underwhelmed by the toppings which included pepper jack cheese, pineapple, and jalepeno & bacon salsa. They all melded together so we couldn’t identify each of the particular flavors which was disappointing. When we ordered we imagined we’d be able to taste sweetness from the pineapple or salty spice from the salsa. It just fell flat. However, the meat itself was good. I think I’d give this place another shot Our waiter was lovely and personable but at times bordered on salesman.

Found this place on Unilocal– was looking for a place to have lunch and cocktail with my galpal in the Clark area. Place is located right off of exit 136 — in the Target/Marshalls parking lot– tucked away in the corner. Wouldn’t notice it unless you were looking for it to be honest. Place has bar side and restaurant side. Service was ok. Lady bartender was good! Pumpkin martinis was good but DAMN the Pecan pie martinis was amazing. Sweet but delicious– and memorable . We tried the tuna tartare app and it was spot on! So good! Not many places that I enjoy their Tuna Tartare. My friend had the vegan meatballs with spaghetti squash — it’s basically falalfel balls in a light tomato sauce and the spaghetti squash. I was expecting more than what came out to be honest. I had the fish tacos– came with a set of 3 and it was really good! Would def come back Had a good selection of beer, cocktails — has a good range of food for everyone to enjoy. Will be back

Great beer selection. Service was very friendly and accommodating. We started with the calamari which was good, though not exceptional. For my main course I ordered the Ramen Noodle Bowl. It’s not something I would get again. It’s just after having excellent ramen at Ani Ramen House in Montclair, this was just a pale impression. My friends seemed to enjoy their food though, so maybe I just needed to order more wisely next time. It is a fun place — I’d definitely return.

Calling it a gastropub is a stretch in my book. Is that because it is nice and not your typical dark pub? Everything here is fine in my books… service, space, beer & drink selection… but nothing out of the ordinary. The bartenders are the highlight in my book… more so then the food. They hustle, work well together and are super friendly. Drinks get poured right the first time and drinks are constantly getting out to customers. The food itself is OK. Everything here just seems a bit manufactured, and maybe that is because of their strip mall location. Not TGI Fridays manufactured, but I also don’t feel like I am in a local bar/restaurant. I had the pork-mix burger. Apologies, can’t remember the name, but think there was an ‘oink’ in there. It was good. Not a goliath burger. Sized right for the bun, prepared to my liking and held together. The burger patty could have used a bit more seasoning, but otherwise was good. We also had the perogies which were disappointing. Internal temperature was too cold and they were al dente if that is possible. The mushroom ravioli was decent. Also served a bit on the al dente side(so maybe the preference of the chef), but it worked. The sauce is rich, so they will fill you up. You could taste the quality mushrooms used. The restaurant is very large and busy. Saturday night… expect a wait. You can eat in the bar area, but keep in mind it is busy so you will have a lot of folks ordering drinks over your shoulder while waiting for tables. Bar had plenty of TVs if you are in the mood to catch the game.

This is a great place. First, their selection of beer is fantastic. And I love the service. When I started quizzing the bar tender on non-hoppy ales, rather than guessing, he simply began offering samples of what he thought would be a good fit. Very nicely done; I found the Bolero Ale to be perfect. I was in the mood for wings, so that is all I ordered. They were juicy, and the sauce was good. I had their Buffalo sauce, and their Voodoo sauce. The Voodoo was basically a glaze, and not overly spicy, but had good taste. The ambiance is nice, and the bar is great for watching sports. It has a comfortable feel to it.

With our son off with the Grandparents, we had an important decision to make. Where to for lunch? My wife had the sudden brainstorm to try Paragon. She had been here when it was Blue Martini. Very good decision. Tucked away in a typical New Jersey strip mall, Paragon is a nice looking place. Kind of an industrial vibe-I like the exposed duct work. Very cool. Tina was our server. Awesome with a capitol A. Explained the specials. Took care of our drinks. Very friendly. Told us of the Chef’s connection with The Food Netork. Wasn’t impressed with that. Not a FN fan. Being on a TV reality show doesn’t make your food taste better. Either you have talent or you don’t. Chef LeVine, I’m happy to report has it going on. We split Calamari to start. Biggest rings I have ever seen. Tender too. Not bready in the slightest. Great marinara. Off to an excellent start. I went into vapor lock trying to wade through all the offered beers. An extensive list. Finally settled on Brooklyn Blast, a double IPA. Really good. Sauvignon Blanc for my wife. A tad thin but good. For entrees, I ordered the short ribs. I requested onion rings in place of the smashed potatoes. My wife ordered the special duck salad. The food was beautifully presented-see pix below. The rings were piled high on the meat reminding me of Alfred Portale’s cooking at Gotham Bar and Grill in NYC. My wife’s duck salad was served cold/medium rare over two types of melon. Both of us really enjoyed our meals. We could not pass on dessert. I had white/milk choclate mousse served in a glass jar. My wife had a lime tart with raspberry whipped cream. Delicious. Since my beer was gone, I had one of Paragon’s new rum drinks. Very tasty. Only service lapse was the bill was presented before we requested it. Paragon serves thoughtfully executed food. We will be back.

THISISMYNEWFAVORITESPOTEVERONTHISPLANET. Sorry for the caps but that’s how excited I am about finding this place. I went last night(Sunday) and it was pretty quiet as it was late. The kitchen closes at 9 pm and we were there 8:30 pm. I ordered the Blood Orange Side Car cocktail, which was presented to me in a chilled copper martini glass. I was a little weary because the bartenders looked super young. But let me just say, this cocktail was out of this world. Then my date ordered the wings(you can get two sauces on it, ghost pepper is supposedly super painful and you cannot return it) with the Voodoo glaze and Sevendust dry rub. Voodoo is the WAY to go! Those wings were so good. The sauce was amazing. I told the bartender that he had to tell the restaurant managers to sell that sauce separately! I would put that on EVERYTHING I make at home. I was just licking the plate that sauce was so good. For my meal, I had the lobster roll, which was just full of lobster claw meat. Delicious. The potato bread roll was toasted just right. And the homemade chips were awesome. Next time on my list to try includes the Trio BBQ Moo & Oink burger, Stout burger, Lobster Ravioli, and so much more. The menu looks amazing. We sat for a while and had a few more drinks. I had the Aviation, which is so good!!! Again, in an awesome copper martini glass. It also had this amazing blue color to it. Then I finished with a Pineapple Gatsby. First off, the name’s perfection. Secondly, this drink was the PERFECT way to end the meal. It was sweet, like a dessert drink. Mmm I miss it. HUGE shout outs to the amazing bartenders, John and Jake. They were AMAZING bartenders and so much fun to talk to. And really friendly. They were on top of everything. I think two of the best bartenders I’ve ever had. Also, they have specials every single day of the week so check it out! Thursdays is endless happy hour!!! And I cannot wait to come back … every. single. week.
