The past 3 times i’ve been there have always been spot on. The chef salad and the pizza were the only things i have ordered so i cant say much about anything else on the menu.

Cute little place… service was okayish minus the fact that the waitress didn’t realize that she took a FULL plate of linguini with clam sauce from the table that my girlfriend couldn’t stomach more than two bites of… the plate smelled like an old trailer that has had thirty cats trapped inside for at least six months. The chicken parm was a little fatty but overall okay. Probably won’t be back.

Not a place to go. Arrived on 12⁄26 to this pizza place and they announced they were out of pizza. Made reservations with a party of 16 and what were we supposed to eat. I am accustomed to reviewing food but not no food… they comped us the drinks but had to to actually leave. They gave us a $ 30 gift certificate but this was a total melt down. They need restaurant rescue.

Not a place for me. Steak was like wood. Pasta was cold. Kids running into the kitchen? Probably not good for the liability thing. Drive away.

Great Pizza. Awful Service Colarusso’s pizza has a fantastic balance of flavors — Oregano, Tomatoes, and Cheese. The pizza is only enjoyed by those who do not confine themselves to mozz pies. Take a chance. Enjoy! Oh yeah, the service is awful! The waitresses usually disappear after your meal has been delivered. One can usually see them gabbing in front of the entrance to the kitchen as you try to catch one of their eyes. They _may_come back, usually smelling of cigarette. Anyways, Colarusso’s has a great pie. We have learned by experience to only do take out. The waitresses are that inattentive!

I have been to Colarusso’s several times, mostly for the lunch buffet. The pizza is not special — somewhat resembling that abominable stuff they sell in Old Forge. There are better places in town for pizza on fresh-baked dough. One thing that Colarusso’s does better than anyone, anywhere, is eggplant parm. The eggplant is sliced super-thin, breaded and layered with tangy sauce & the same gooey«sticks all over your mouth» cheese mix that they use on the pizza. I have had some good, bad, and downright awful eggplant in restaurants all over the area. The quest for the perfect eggplant truly ends here. Colarusso’s nails it every time. If you need an eggplant fix, get yourself to Colarusso’s!

Been going there for years but the buffet has gone down hill. I love the eggplant pram but it was cold and I do mean cold. Had to wait way to long for them to put food out and the deserts leave a lot to be desired anymore. ¾ square bits of cheesecake, I could have eaten eight of them to make one right size piece. Pretty expensive lunch and not being satisfied. I don’t think Ill ever go back

I ordered angel hair pasta with alfredo sauce and shrimp, which wasn’t very good. It was swimming in a bland sauce, and the shrimp was slightly overcooked. My girlfriend ordered chicken and broccoli with penne. The sauce was more of a broth and the chicken was a tough, slimy mess. The kids got chicken strips which came out well after we had decided to give up on our plates. The waitress claimed something was wrong with the fryer, but when we spoke to the manager and or cook he said she forgot to ring it in. Being the only diners in the place I didn’t expect to sit as long as I did with an empty drink, but I’m 90% sure the waitress was stoned. We did get the chicken and broccoli taken off the bill though, so there’s that. Unfortunately this was still a $ 50 meal however.

I haven’t had this pizza in years and I never paid for it myself. It was only if I was over someones house and they got it. Typical AMERICAN cheese on white bread. Have you seen the prices!!! $ 14.95 for Wonder Bread, American Cheese, and Tomato Slice w/Garlic.

We just left there and although the pizza was good I’m sure we’ll never go back because, as stated by many others here, the service was incredibly bad. Our waitress was so «out to lunch» I’m not sure how she was functioning. We had to ask for plates!!! We had silverware only because it was already on the table. First she said there was no lettuce when we ordered salads but then she brought them out. She spilled the soup because she said there were no bowls. I’m still not sure what that meant because it was in a bowl(?). She was on another planet. Then just as we got up to leave there was a crash in the kitchen that was so loud it hurt my ears as a whole stack of plates smashed everywhere. The out to lunch waitress never even got up to see what had happened. It was certainly memorable but, not in a good way.

I’ve been here a bunch of times. The last two, the pizza was great. But I always feel like it’s hit or miss and never know what I’m going to get when I go in there. The service is mediocre at best. It starts with waiting to be seated, as waitresses pass by multiple times before one of them decides to put you at a table. But if you go in there knowing what to expect, you can deal with it.

I truly do like their food but on multiple occasions, the service has been HORRENDOUS. Two years ago on New Years Eve, I placed an order for pickup. Upon arriving, the staff let me know that they never received such an order and that our food was never made. I am a very understanding person and I realize that mistakes happen(even though I called in advance and placed this order the day before so they would be prepared), so my plan was to wait for the food. However, to my surprise, they refused to make my order! Well that was it for me. After arguing with them over how preposterous it was that THEY lost my order that I called in advance for and THEY wouldn’t make it for me, they finally made my food and I was on my way. I will acknowledge that I do love their pizza so the quality of the food isn’t a problem to me. Last year, I decided to try this again. I placed my order in advance and the food was ready on time and tasted delicious. No problems there. This year on New Years Eve, once again, I called in advance to place an order and was ever so rudely denied. «Just call back that day because the order will get lost in translation». WHATKINDOFESTABLISHMENTCANTTAKEANORDERINADVANCEBECAUSETHEYAREUNORGANIZEDANDOPENLYADMITIT??? Well that was that. I went and ordered food from somewhere else and was even more pleased with the food and service from the other establishment. I do truly like Colarusso’s food, but their service has been dreadful to me over the years and I would never order from their again. This years New Years Eve due to their rudeness and unorganization, they lost out on 100 wings and 6 trays of pizza… aka MONEY.

I needed a quick lunch before I got of town on Monday, and looked around on Unilocal. And, will you look at this… a Unilocaler who I’m Unilocal friends with from my own hometown has visited this place. And knowing how much of a pizza snob Tracy W is, I knew I’d find something good here. I knew I had to visit too if she did. So I stopped here for the lunch buffet. I liked the buffet layout. Nice amount of choices. I took tastes of the meatballs, wings, and eggplant parmesan, and found them all to be decent. My first trip to the buffet only had a couple of pizza choices, which were the regular and the plain white. I took a taste of the plain white, and found it to be ok. It could have used more garlic. I went back to the buffet for one more quick bite, and found they had put out more pizza. And there was the white pizza with tomato slices Tracy had mentioned in her review. I grabbed that with a slice of the regular. Now, the regular pizza is just that… regular. I found it to be just OK. But that white pizza with the tomato slice, that was the winner. That slice had all of the flavor that the other slices were lacking. This place to me seems like the type of place where you have to know what to order. Maybe others like their general pizza. But I will say that white tomato pizza is a real winner, and I’d certainly have it again if I am ever in that area. It’s a 3 star place because not all of the offerings were great. But that one item is a 5 star item all the way.

Their pizza buffet was very disappointing. Most of the pizza they put out was good enough for vegans, but not a carnivore like myself. «Where’s the beef?» Or the pork or the chicken? Only a few pieces of pizza with any meat were out, but there was a lot of cheese pizza or one with slices of tomato on it. And the sauce tasted like it came out of a can. Very disappointing pizza. But the other foods on the buffet were good, including the buffalo wings.

I used to love their pizza. But I went in today and tried their lunch buffet. For $ 10, it was actually good. They have eggplant Parmesan, roast beef, lemon chicken, meatballs. But I was disappointed with their pizza buffet. Three kinds of pizza were there which was mediocore. I guess if you want the good pizza, you have to order it a la carte. But if you just want Italian food for lunch, then you will like this place.

This is a conveniently located, versatile, charming Italian café with pizza, hoagies, salads and more. The atmosphere is suitable for any casual occasion, and the menu is large. We sat at the bar and were greeted by a not-so-friendly bartender. Service is the biggest opportunity for improvement. That said, the white pizza made up for the cold service. It’s the square thick garlic bread style with a wonderful cheese blend(maybe white American & fontina?) topped with rosemary, oregano, and other spices. Very good. My boyfriend ordered an Italian hoagie. We should have asked for dressing on the side because it was drenched in Italian dressing. Just OK. Overall, this is a good Italian café with authentic choices and reasonable prices. I’ll go back if the service warms up, or to get some of that tasty white pizza to go.
