Quick and quintessential as an American diner. A bustling breakfast crowd with a .99 cent special. How is this possible? Some weeks I’m here twice in the am driving up from Scranton.

Solid restaurant just not a diner. Good pancakes, Ms Butterworth is weak syrup. Great cake selection and good Greek options. A few strung out servers but not too bad. Nice bar seating. Good coffee.

What an amazing little spot with a heart. Local, fresh, simple classic American. Full of smiling locals, with relaxed and friendly service. And the food is fresh, plentiful and tasty. So glad we stopped here on our way from NYC to the Canadian border. Can’t get more authentically American than a diner in a small pretty town.

I ate here for lunch with the family. I had the chicken gyro. My kids had bacon cheeseburgers and my wife had a Greek salad w/chicken. I was a little annoyed that I couldn’t get a side salad instead of french fries with my meal. Restaurants have to be prepared to help people with healthy alternatives. My gyro was less than average and the applesauce I had with it was not very good. My wife didn’t like the Greek salad very much. It was basically some chicken on top of a huge bed of iceberg lettuce with a couple pieces of feta cheese and olives. Whole meal was $ 45 w/o tip. I think this place is safe stop if you are just passing through but you will not be impressed.

We were in town house hunting. Decided to stop for a late night snack, then the next morning for breakfast. I miss diners, grew up with them in NY. This one was good. The service was excellent on both visits. The prices reasonable. The portions are huge. We split a Rueben on our late night visit. It was delicious. The fries crispy. The next morning my husband enjoyed his banana pancakes. I have to say my omelet was good, however the home fries, lacked flavor and were too oily. I would go back for lunch or dinner next time I am in town.

I like the food here, it has one or two vegetarian selections. The Veggie Burger says it’s homemade but it doesn’t look it or taste like it is. I’m not even sure it was made on a grill, and if you’re not a fan, of microwaving you should ask them to grill it for you. The service is very good, friendly and the tables, floors and restrooms are clean. Sundays are about the only time I’ve eaten here and it’s busy. lots of kids and can be a little noisy.

If there was a rating just for waitstaff, they’d get at least 4 stars, but, based on the food I was just given, yuck. The presented plate looked like it could have come right from something pre-packaged. The eggs were good, and I ate them with the rye toast, but the hash browns were basically cooked white potatoes and the corned beef hash looked like it was sliced from a log corned beef hash. I started to eat white potatoes and log slice, but stopped. The potatoes had hard things in it and between the mush. As for the corned beef hash, which I grew up on and continued that tradition with my children, all I can say is that hash tasted off … can’t really explain it, but there was something wrong with it. How does hash taste bad, I thought it wasn’t possible for hash to taste bad?!

Love this place. Great for… everything. Have had their breakfast, lunch and dinner. Club sandwich is great. They serve a pickle with most every sandwich and burger. Their seafood bisque soup is fantastic, so is their loaded baked potato soup. Staff is great, never had to wait long either. Oh yeah, they have Pepsi products, too. Go there, you’ll thank me. You’re welcome, Unilocal

Just driving through on 81 and stopped for some grub. After vowing never to go to Damon’s again after our repeated poor experiences there, we were after something new in Clark’s Summit. I have to say, we were very pleasantly surprised here! It’s a diner, same as most, with a little more of an expanded menu than I had expected. I got boneless buffalo chicken wings and curly fries, both came out hot and delicious, nice and crunchy. My boyfriend opted for the lamb gyro, which was pretty large and I have to say it was pretty darn good! I wouldn’t have expected that from a diner. Overall we were very happy with our meals and would definitely stop back next time we are on the road. The best part about it I think was that everything was so obviously FRESH — the grilled chicken Caesar salad I saw on the way out looked wonderful. Other pros: very clean restaurant and bathrooms, attentive staff, they take credit cards(even Amex), it’s very inexpensive as you’d expect from a diner, and the food was good — desserts looked even better! If you’re looking for a rest stop in the area with good food is recommend it. It’s very family friendly and there were quite a few dining there when we arrived. No, it’s not a substitute for a steakhouse, but if you want some good quick food then this is your spot.

Not a bad place for breakfast. We live out of town(my wife’s parents live here), so we had not been here since they changed the name, and I assume owners to the Silver Spoon. I can’t say anything about their lunch and dinners, but their breakfast was decent, and reasonably priced. I got Creamed Chipped Beef over Toast, and the rest of the group got an assortment of eggs, pancakes, potatoes, etc. Everyone liked what they got, and it was definitely better than Waffle House.

Bisque soup was good. Everything else could have come from a can even the N.Y. steak. Pitiful food.

A nice little place. breakfast was good, it is pretty hard to ruin bacon, eggs and pancakes but I’ve seen it done. I usually get breakfast at diners but I decided go for a burger, since i had been here before. i got the asiago/monterrey burger. bacon was crisp and roll was good. the meat was cook like i asked, medium rare. there wasn’t a lot of seasoning on the burger. the fries were good. so it was what i expected, good but nothing special. the service however was great and has been everything i have been there, and that means a lot in my book.

The husband and I were looking for a place to eat on a Saturday night. We happened to see the gyros sign in the window. We stopped and ordered the gyros, the Greek salad, and the dolmas. The dolmas were of average quality, not homemade, but the feta with them was excellent. The Greek salad was large with plenty of feta cheese & yes, kalamata olives with pits included. We were pleased with the salad. We also ordered a gyros sandwich, also of generous proportions. It was also much better than we expected. Overall this restaurant exceeded our expectations. We would visit this place again. CF

I have been here twice before for dinner, and the service was good, the food is regular diner food, with some nice added Greek specialties. I like their burgers and their desserts are incredible. However, this past weekend I stopped in for breakfast(it was around 10AM, and starting to get busy). We were seated, had waters brought to our table, and even had our wobbly table fixed within minutes of us sitting down. After 5 minutes of watching 3 young waitresses buzzing around us(did I mention we were sat in the MIDDLE of the dining room?), no one stopped by to take our order, while 4 or 5 waitresses stood around at the register. We gave it another 5 minutes and walked out. This is unfortunate because the place has potential, and I have gotten good service here before, so I would say is hit or miss. Weekdays seem to have seasoned waitresses on hand and the weekend shifts seem to be covered by high schoolers.

I just stopped in because I didn’t want to go the Waffle House. This place is great. The food was perfect. The diner is extremely clean. Even though they were busy, they provided me with excellent customer service. I will definitely return here the next time I visit Clark’s Summit.

We stopped in here around dinner time last night. This place used to be the Summit Diner, and it’s now been completely redone inside. The place is very clean and bright, and everything from the tabletops to the fixtures appears to be brand new. Food is average. I had a quesadilla and a Greek salad. My wife had Manhattan Clam Chowder, stuffed grape leaves and a grilled cheese. I’d get a quesadilla again, but I’ll pass on the Greek salad, which was pretty much a big bowl of iceberg lettuce, very lightly dressed. It came topped with about 10 unpitted Kalamata olives(which means that you have to spit out 10 pits if you actually want to eat the olives), sliced green bell pepper, feta, 2 grape leaves and anchovies. My wife’s choices were all pretty good. I think the soup is homemade, and I liked it. The grape leaves are most likely bought, as they’re pretty much the same grape leaves that you get on supermarket salad bars, but they’re ok with me. We got a slice of homemade chocolate mousse cake to go, which was really good. Their dessert cooler is typical of a Greek diner, with enormous cakes and pies which, I think, are all made on site. Same owner as Viewmont Diner in Dickson City, with a similar concept. Not bad. We’ll come back to try breakfast.
