We went there for the catfish. It was some of the best I’ve ever had. They also cooked just the way we like it. This is mostly a take out menu, everything cooked to order so it might be a good idea to call ahead.

NEW NAME!!! Crossroads Catfish
This place is one of Clarksdale’s best kept secrets. It is a family run business, being operated by second and third generations. The location is perfect, less than a block from the famous crossroads & it’s a MUST if you are visiting Clarksdale, or for a once a week lunch fix if you’re local, like me. It is not a really fancy place, but it is clean & has recently begin undergoing renovations.
THE FRIED CATFISH IS LIKE NONE OTHER IN THE ENTIRE UNITED STATES. This place has single-​handedly turned me into a catfish snob. I don’t even bother ordering it anywhere else anymore because nobody can match perfection. I don’t know if it’s the batter or the cook, but it is the best you will ever taste.
I always get a 2 piece meal that comes with fries & cole slaw, but I prefer to substitute fried okra for the fries. It is mainly a take-​out style restaurant, but they have added seating & I recommend calling in your order ahead! It speeds things up quite a bit, because everything is cooked when you order.
I can’t say enough good things. Don’t miss this staple at the Crossroads when you’re in town.

My husband and I were passing through and stopped by for some fried fish. We had the catfish sandwich. It tasted really great and was fried perfectly. I am glad I got the two piece sandwich. We were both very satisfied.
