So we live in Indianapolis and have these places here but My sister lives in the Louisville area so when she came to visit this past weekend we decided to drive her back home and stop at Chuck E Cheese here in Jeffersonville. So it was Sunday afternoon August 2nd. We get here and go inside and there is not even anyone at the register so I told everyone else to go try and find a seat and that I would order. Finally the guy that was running the register came back and took our order. $ 30 for one pizza, 4 drinks and 30 tokens. I asked for thin crust pizza which would mean we get less crust, so one would think that would be no problem. So the guy proceeds to tell me ti would be a $ 3 up-charge for thin crust? Really? So we just got the regular pizza the way it comes. Lots of empty tables but not one of them was clean. 5 employees hanging out at the front door doing nothing but I went and grabbed the rag and cleaner that was sitting on the counter and cleaned our booth so we could sit down. Of course my niece was already to play games so I sat at the table and they went and did the game thing. About that time some kid kicked the machine over by our table and the door opened up and tokens started falling on the floor. You would have thought someone had struck gold. Of course all the riffraff came running over to join in and then this grown man(thug) walked over and started raking all the coins inside the machine onto the floor. Really? Do you think any of the staff had a clue as to what was going on? Not likely as they were still having social hour at the front door. By this time an hour has gone by and we still have no pizza. I go to the counter and complain and the guy said our pizza should be coming up soon and low and behold it came out about 2 minutes later. It was hot and fresh but it was covered in grease so I would not let my niece eat any of it. The adults ate a slice then we boxed it up. Took 20 minutes to get someone to go over to the prize counter so that my niece could cash in her tickets. And then the worst thing of all probably was the fact that if you were not part of the private party going on up front by the stage you could forget any interaction with the Rat. I thought that was in very poor taste. Try explaining to a 4 year old that because we did not throw her a birthday party here that she cannot interact with Chuck E? It was actually her birthday but we did not book a party. That was lame. I so hope something else will open up so we can take her there because this place has gone down the tubes since i was a kid.

Great place for the kids to get wild. Food is average but the kids really don’t care. Plenty to do and everyone has a great time.

This was our first big birthday event for our daughter. We were truly blessed with a server Chelsea. This young woman made the entire event as effortless as it could be for us. I have worked in catering when I was younger and I KNOW how difficult a task this can be. The food was brought out in a timely manner, she made the effort to make sure we had what we wanted and offered suggestions without being pushy. She kept our daughter and the other children happy and smiling. With that being said the all the parents responded the same way about how wonderful this party turned out. All the kids left happy and worn out. The parents all left smiling and I have received thank you’s from almost all of them.

Visiting a Chuck E Cheese is normally akin to going to the dentist for a root canal, but considering that it was the last weekend of my boys’ Christmas break, and they both had received gift cards to this mouse house, I couldn’t exactly refuse. Well, I could, but I’m a softie at times, and fairly thrifty almost all the time. I picked this location as the one available Unilocal review at least outweighed my opinions of the one out on Hurstbourne, and it ended up being a couple miles closer. And as these places go, I would gauge that this one appears to be slightly cleaner and not nearly as crowded. Other pluses include that most of the games are actually in working order and the staff is friendly. Minuses are that the pizza sucks, it’s overpriced and there’s a giant mouse running around convincing kids that dancing to some knockoff Daft Punk song while he ‘makes tickets rain’ is a good thing. Something entirely wrong with that picture.

They need to make the place bigger so there is more room for the children to move around and play!
