Mags coffee exists at the nexus of slightly overpriced and mediocrity in this plane of existence. The menu didn’t offer anything unique. your typical type drinks you would find at most any shop. The beans tasted slightly burnt. a somewhat standard mistake made by the bean master at a Starbucks like establishment from inattention or lack of effort. The décor was a cookie cutter mixed bag of «eclectic» stuff tacked to the walls. I guess some of it had to do with coffee on closer inspection. I can’t think of any compelling reasons to return. not worth the gas. or the lukewarm, slightly burnt coffee. but maybe that is just the state of coffee shops these days.

My previous review was removed for not following Unilocal content rules. For this I am sorry. I will correct the problem and be a little more polite about the dreadful service that I received. The get the single star of shame for their poor service skills. I was unhappy with the special coffee drink that I ordered. I gave them a second chance to fix the mistake… They did not fix the poorly made drink, and even worse they didn’t ask me if the second cup was better. For this, I wont be back. By the way, chai latte has coffee in it when you ask for it dirty.

So when i was really down for a while i wasn’t eating very much and my friends started worrying about me. But i would drink — anything and everything. And this was the place my friend Ash would take me because it’s literally liquid food. try the peppermint bark! delicious. They are really sweet and actually listen to what you want and would like to order and how you want it. Remember to get the cozy with your points! Going there tomorrow for breakfast to showing the place to someone new. This place is the new and improved Starbucks in Clarksville! SO much better!

The coffee was great, the best I’ve had in Clarksville. But they can dump all the kitsch, it feels like a senior citizen hangout.

Despite not being a coffee fan I am rating this place highly because of the level of service and their baked goods are top notch. It’s a very small place, and one where it could easily just be a drive up stand but I like that they try to make it a place to hang out, but it’s a little too crowded as a chill spot. I was one of 4 people sitting down and a family of 3 came in and it got very claustrophobic for me when the little ones starting running around. The owner is really friendly and helped me pick out what I wanted-and it dawned on him that I wasn’t there for coffee when I said I was looking for fruit flavors and the blueberry/nut muffin was really moist and flavorful. I was really impressed with the service, and they genuinely seemed to put a lot of care and effort into all their products.

I needed a coffee shop to setup my laptop(they have free wifi) while i waited for an appointment close to riverside. So I go in and get my americano and ham and cheese croissant. And all that was good. So if you need good coffee and a treat, this place is great. But if you need to be in a quiet, jazz music filled atmosphere where people don’t bother you; then you should take your coffee and go. But if you love energetic gals butting into your business and making you feel at home, then this is the place for you; Have a sat and add to to the conversation.

It’s small, personal, friendly, and has a variety of options for some really good coffee. How much more does a person need? If you want a different place to go than Starbucks, this is an excellent choice!

Just an awesome experience overall. When I go to a new coffee shop(and no one goes to more coffee shops more than I do), I am always a bit nervous that it’ll be a bummer, or that the coffee isn’t any good, or that the barista will be a jerk. Thankfully, this was the best coffee I’ve had anywhere north of Nashville. I can remember taking my first sip, and wondering if it was really as tasty as I had fist thought. But it was! I was thrilled that the coffee was flavorful without being bitter. I was glad the chocolate in the mocha was strong without being way too sweet. I was pleased at the balance between the two. Maybe the best mocha I’ve ever had. I can say with some confidence that this is probably the best coffee in Clarksville. I haven’t been everywhere yet(but I will), and it would be very difficult to top this. If you’re in Clarksville by the river, do not pass this place up.

I initially gave it a one star because of the long wait one morning, man it must have been the lack of caffeine! I went back to try it again, and I was very happy with my coffee. The price is about average for a fancy cup-o-joe with all that yummy syrup and whipped cream… mmmmm… I thought the customer service was pretty good too. I must have hit them on a bad day the first time around, and I’m glad I decided to come back and try again. In the future I decided I should probably only go here when I know I have a few extra minutes, but to be honest with you the coffee is worth the wait.

This is one of the best coffee places I’ve been to. This is the real deal. Skip the Starbucks and come here. Why? Better quality coffee… better foo foo drinks(which I’m not really into… but those who were with me got some and they loved them). Good food too. I looked at their pastries/muffin…whatever that stuff is… and I wanted to try one of everything. I was telling this guy next to me about how glad I was that I came here and how impressed I was with EVERYTHING. Great atmosphere, friendly, Kind, cool people work and hang out here. I met Mag and her staff… very friendly people… easy to talk to… very knowledgeable about what they do… and they care. She has a scale right there behind the counter… making sure her staff knows what 40 lbs pressure on the espresso when tamping feels like. I could tell they had good beans… she told me they get them from Florida… not Sysco or some giant distributor. Shes using the good stuff. It is evident that Mag really cares about what she is doing here and I encourage everyone to give this little place a try. I know I’m going to be back.

Nice little family owned coffee place right on the river. Has a wide selections of products that are reasonably priced. Kind of cramped on the inside but has a patio but the atmosphere is awesome. I highly reccomend the spunky monkey frappé, it is freaking great!!! This place is my new coffee place.

One of the only places in Clarksville that offers vegan items! Delicious vegan muffins baked fresh by Mag herself! Try the chocolate or blueberry. So incredibly light and flavorful, no one would ever know the difference. Coffee, shaved ice, great friendly atmosphere… Just wish they were open later.

First of all, they had shamrocks all over the place. Honestly, after seeing that, they could have served me dishwater and I would have given them a good rating… but seriously. I’ve only been back in the south for a few months and I don’t know if this is the norm and I haven’t become accustomed to it, or this is a Mag’s specialty, but they were so great and warm that it was like going to an old friend’s house that you’ve been missing for coffee and to catch up. I ordered what you’re supposed to at Mag’s coffee(yeah, I just made it an official rule) The Dirty Irish Man. Every sip tasted exactly like I would want a Dirty Irishman to taste like: a kiss from Colin Farrell’s lips,(sans the cigarette.) I stayed for two hours chatting with a girlfriend and it was just heaven. They have a case of baked goods which contain regular pastries as well as some that are vegan and/or gluten free and are a big hit. We left as they were closing(there was a full house!) and the owner said«I’ll definitely have to be open on Sundays now!» You bet your sweet little shamrock you will, because I’ll be back!

I can’t roll up to the drive through without asking for one Mag’s homemade baked goods. It doesn’t matter what it is, it’s gonna be delish and served with a smile. I like the vegan muffins, particularly the seasonal pumpkin ones. They can also make you an almond milk latte, my new favorite. Vegan yumness.

I’ve only visited Mag’s once but I immediately felt welcome. It has a very cozy environment so you really feel at home, however, a little small inside. They also have free wi-fi so that’s a plus. The coffee is awesome as well as the shaved ice and many many flavors to choose from ! Slightly on the pricey side but overall a good choice for a more homemade type taste rather than the plain Jane starbucks type coffee and tea. Very much recommended ! :)
