Sam’s Food and Spirits

I had went to the older Sam’s before they had the fire and went to the new one last night for the first time. When I pulled up and saw how fancy it looked, I almost pulled back away until I saw Bruce J’s review about not to feel underdressed. (We were in our gym clothes) It was fine once we got in. It’s still nice when you get inside, but you don’t feel out of place if you’re not dressed up.
They give you popcorn while you wait. My son who is eleven, who was also worried about being underdressed made a comment, «Any place that serves popcorn isn’t too fancy». hahaha. Anyway, they had a list of about 10 beers on tap. Their menu included so much. Normal American type fare, plus seafood, pasta, burgers, salads, soups, hot brown and plenty of appetizers. I am such a picture fanatic and I did not even remember to take a picture of our food last night. I did get a photo of the popcorn.
We decided to order the seafood combination and split it. It includes whitefish, scallops, clams, shrimp and 2 sides. We got the side salad and macaroni and cheese as the sides. Okay, I don’t care how un-​elegant it makes me… I love ranch dressing. My son and I both do. So far, our favorite ranch is made by Come Back Inn and we’ve never found any other ranch like it. Sam’s ranch comes very close. It was very tasty and we actually debated on which was better between Sam’s and Come Back Inn. Almost a tie. The food was great. Cooked perfectly, hot, plenty of it and had a wonderful seasoning. I still can’t believe I didn’t take a picture. So, two of us shared that one meal and still didn’t eat it all. It was huge.
The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because our waitress left us hanging a few times without checking on us. Once she brought the bill, it took over ten minutes for her to come and get the credit card from me and actually, the manager is the one who finally got it from me. She was spot on at first and then neglected us later and it wasn’t that busy.
I will for sure be going back to try more of their menu. It’s not too far past Greentree Mall if you’re wondering where it’s located.

We love it here! The bar area is a great place to unwind and have a beer and the menu has something for everybody. They have great carry-​out, the owner is around often and is a great guy. The bartender is fantastic, sweet and friendly. The daily specials are great deals and you can beat the prices of the kids menu! This is a family restaurant and my only complaint is that they aren’t open on weekends.

Came in for lunch on a rainy day. Looks like you are going to be underdressed but do not be afraid. Press on through the hostess stand Soups were really good and the fish tacos were well made. The other items I saw come out looked like solid pub faire
