Under new ownership! I was afraid that it wouldn’t be as good, but it was. I will miss Roxanne and Terry. I especially miss Roxanne always having my Arnold Palmer on the table, 2 seconds after I sit down! I hope they get to know me and my favorite things. It’s still as good as ever!

This is my favorite breakfast spot in the entire state of MI. The food is amazing, totally worth the higher than average cost. The chicken Marie frittata and eggs benedict are my favorites. The coffee is excellent and strong. The wait staff is great, very nice, fast and knowledgeable. I go here regularly and try to take new people all time. Heads up, on the weekends there is usually a long wait but they will take call ahead sitting.

I have previously rated Frittata five out of five stars. We have gone there for years and loved the whole experience — food, friendly waitstaff. Unfortunately, things have gone downhill over the past few months. The former owner/chef did train the new chef but he’s not quite up to par yet. There were three of us in our party and only one meal was hot. The others were lukewarm, which is not a good thing for eggs. The fried potatoes, which to be honest the former chef did not always rock, were strangely prepared with just a few asparagus stems in them. It almost felt like it was an accident than on purpose. The toast and fruit compote was as good as it was before(okay, toast should be consistent no matter who makes it but the fruit compote is THE reason to get the toast). There is always some turmoil with staff too. The drama among staff is at middle school levels at times. Bring back the former chef and the former server/manager/ex-employee and I’ll be back.(and if anything can be done about cold air coming in from the entry way, that would be great too!)

Great place! Friendly waitress and awesome food that was quick. My girlfriend loved the lemon ricotta pancakes and I really enjoyed the seafood frittata special. Definitely visiting again soon. Not super cheap for breakfast, but a great value!

We went here for the first time last Sunday. I’ve read the Unilocal reviews, and decided to check it out. It is a quaint restaurant, with a very friendly, informative staff. They were more than happy to explain the menu, and the specials. I had eggs with marinated chicken in a tomato and basil sauce(that tasted amazing!), with potatoes. My family had frittata’s, and said they were amazing as well. I think I’ve found my new favorite breakfast spot! BTW, they have call ahead seating as well.

My husband and I ate at Frittata for the first time yesterday and it was very good. He had the wild mushroom frittata whole I had the lemon ricotta pancakes(the blueberries and strawberries on the pancakes were very fresh!). I would recommend both for tastiness. It is a bit pricey but it seems like they use quality ingredients and that I don’t mind paying for!

I dined here while my friend was visiting and they had just reopened after a kitchen remodel. It was a weekday working and it was dead. Our server explained that many people they had thought they had closed permanently but that wasn’t the case. I had previously been told that the lemon ricotta pancakes with fresh blueberries was the best so I opted for that. My friend had the French toast with fresh berries and flambé bananas. My friend really loved her French toast and the flambé bananas really took it to the top. The flavor of my lemon ricotta pancakes was very tasty, however my reason for not giving more starts is that the pancakes were very heavy and dense. Pancakes should be light and fluffy not heavy. Some may argue that the ricotta adds to the denseness but I have had ricotta in pancakes that were still nice and light. So while the flavor was spot on, the consistency needs some improvement. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The inside is small yet quant and charming. Next time I’ll have to try an actual Frittata.

Great frittatas! Not only do they have a set menu of frittatas but they also allow you to build your own. I ordered the wild mushroom frittata and it was so yummy. The mushrooms were very flavorful and the sauce that it sat in only made it tastier. Building your own frittata is also a great option. There is a list of things you can choose from to create your perfect frittata. If you like cheese, I recommend you add cheddar! The potatoes were also good and spiced very nicely. Overall if you like frittatas, this is the place for you. If you have always dreamed about creating the perfect frittata but never wanted to actually make it yourself, this is the perfect place for you. The service was good and filled our drinks regularly. I also liked the artsy atmosphere but make sure you get here early because it can get pretty busy.

Being a previous Clawson resident, I’ve been going to Frittata for awhile. The food is delicious and if there is a wait it is well worth it. I always bring a pal along so we can spilt something savory and something sweet. The frittatas are so delicious that I want to lick the plate clean but I always have that second thought of «that would be totally inappropriate».

I’ve only had one thing here. The chicken Marie frittata. It’s so damn good. I’m sure I’ll get something else at some point, but I still think about that frittata when I’m at home in bed on a Thursday night. Service is good too and I like the patio. I’ll eat here every Saturday but I’m supposed to be at yoga.

I have been coming here for years. It has been one of my favorite places. I have brought many of my friends and family here because the food is always fresh and delish! I have my favorites and I’ve tried new dishes. I’m never disappointed. About a month ago the original owners sold to new owners. Well I want to say the new owners are doing a great job! The food is being carried on, freshness, tastiness and great service continues. We had an amazing side of rice with our salmon club today. Our meals were so GOOD! I can’t wait to go back again this week!

This place is absolutely delicious and the service is personable and well done. I love the lemon ricotta pancakes. They are way too big for one person, but totally worth it. The french toast is also incredible as are the frittatas(their namesake.) Go for the fancy coffees if you can. I like a mix of hot chocolate and coffee– it makes a great special mocha. Its a worthwhile brunch place with nice outdoor seating for good weather. Enjoy!

They know exactly what they’re doing at this place… the food is DELICIOUS! OHMYGOSH! My husband and I decided to give this restaurant a go after seeing such positive Unilocal reviews. He ordered the Chicken Frittata and I went for the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with the blueberry topping. I had a few bites of the frittata and it was perfection! According to my husband, it was the very best thing he’s had at a restaurant since our move to Michigan. The pancakes were so thick and fluffy and the blueberry topping was sweet and slightly tart. It was so good I didn’t need to ask for syrup. They have such nice touches when it comes to their plating and presentation. The chef turned the orange on my plate into a little bear. Too cute! I also want to mention that the restaurant was clean, the bathroom was clean, and the service was great. I honestly can’t wait to go back for breakfast… it won’t be long before I do!

MYGOD. This was quite literally the greatest brunch experience of my life on this green earth. The lemon poppyseed battered French toast with strawberries, mango, and basil whipped cream was TRANSCENDENT. Every bite gave me an O face. The cheddar and poblano pepper biscuits with sausage gravy and over easy eggs which was so savory and delicious I was sad when it was over. The toast with pear compote and blueberry cream cheese was so simple but delicious as well. Everything kicked my tastebuds square in the face with flavor and creativity. Friendly service, cool spot with outdoor seating available as well. If you brunch hard, Frittata is a MUST try.

Finally got to try this amazing place yesterday for brunch with my friend for her birthday and we LOVED it! We both got the roast beef/mushroom/Swiss special with horseradish sauce and it came with a side of red-skinned potatoes. This was on the chef’s special list and it was BombDotCom. Seriously. I definitely want to make my way back soon to try another great dish, well worth the 30 minute drive. I also ordered the chai tea and it’s way better than Panera’s and Starbucks… Let my girlfriend try it and she ended up getting one to go. Not only did it taste amazing, but the temp was perfect – hot enough to warm you, but not to burn your tongue. I really loved that so much! It’s a quaint space, so probably not the best for large groups, but great for groups 2 – 4. Prices vary, there are things that are on the cheaper end, but our dish was about 12 – 14 $ maybe since it was a special dish. Highly recommend!

Frittata used to be my «go to» brunch place. Why? Because it’s delicious, they have a wonderful menu, and they were doing ‘gourmet euro brunch’ when that list was very small. As of late I have been taking my brunching elsewhere, but that’s not due to poor quality. I think it has more to do with the fact that their breakfasts costs so much, and no what I order I’m always surprised by the total bill. That being said, I still remember how delicious their frittatas are… with plump artichokes, pancetta, green beans, potatoes and other delectable add-ins. My favorite dish changed my life just a little. Mushrooms and toast– a simple way to describe heaven. An egg fried into buttery, garlic bread and topped with perfectly sautéed mushrooms, butter, goat cheese and spinach. Add bacon in the mix to make it even better. Once I figured out how to make it(see«home cookin’» section to do it yourself!) I stopped frequenting so regularly. Don’t let that stop you– on a special morning, Frittata will not disappoint you if you expect to pay a bit more than the average gourmet breakfast. Extra points for live music outside on the patio. The ingredients are top notch, and though the service is slow, it’s because they don’t take shortcuts with preparations. Bön appetit.
