This place is ok. Not the best by far. Very close to royal oak and mostly old people dine here. Must give it a try for ar least once.

A friend of my wife’s suggested we meet her here because she was a big fan of the potato pancakes. We ordered spinach pie and a clubhouse with onion rings off the lunch menu. The server asked my wife if she wanted the«red sauce». My wife instinctively asked for it on the side. The spinach pie was soggy and flavourless and the rice was odd with a sweet taste. The red sauce was also sweet and somehow fruity. The clubhouse was tasty and a good size but the rings were overcooked and greasy. The restaurant had a typical diner feel but wasn’t very warm and welcoming.

I live fairly close to Zorba’s. When I moved to Royal Oak in 1983. Zorba’s was still a Hardee’s. I am sure many more folks remember that as well. With that being said, our family has been customers of Zorba’s since they opened. For us it has been mostly a great place to get breakfast, however, we have had many lunches there as well. Their bean soup is just fantastic. It has loads of flavor, ham, beans with veggies and it is thick. I have had bean soup in other restaurants that their bean soup was totally anemic! They also have a wonderful chicken pita sandwich, with a yummy marinade the chicken was in before it was grilled. The sandwich is generously loaded with chicken all breast, I don’t ever remember getting a chicken pita that wasn’t hot, with lots of grilled chicken and an excellent flavor to the chicken. For breakfast, I love their Greek Omelet. If you haven’t had an omelet with Gyro meat, and you like Gyro meat. get their omelet. Also, I love their blueberry pancakes! A favorite breakfast food of mine. My husband loves their crepes! At Zorba’s the men cooking, speak to you and are friendly and kind. We got to know some of the waitresses there and they are top notch. This is family dining, in a building that was transformed from a Hardee’s. It is not fast food though, their food quality, friendly service and prices, make it a solid 4 Star restaurant in the world of family dining. We also love the drive thru window that is SOO convenient for those lay back weekend mornings where you just feel like bringing breakfast or lunch home to eat! You don’t even have to get out of the car to pick up your carry out order! Zorba’s thank you for great food at very good prices! Hope you are around for a long time. I will be needing my Greek Omelet, Blueberry Pancakes or Chicken Sandwich on a regular basis.

I have driven past here a million times, decided to try. We had omelets Spinach and Feta and the Denver. They were very good. My husband thought the omelets were small, but he has a big appetite. I thought it was perfect size. The coffee was really good!

I live near zorba’s and go there often because they have a drive-thru. I call my order in and then pick it up! The convenience is great and they have a huge menu. Also, the ppl are so friendly there;) I recommend the Dutch pancake, biscuits n gravy, omelette, coney dogs, gyros, spinach pie, patty melts, soups and saganaki!

I like everyone who works here, and the food is pretty good. The biggest highlight for us is the drive-thru. Sometimes, actually most times, when we don’t want to cook, but don’t really feel like going out(like when you have kids who want to crawl on the floor or run around the restaurant), we still don’t want greasy fast food. So, you can imagine how thrilled we were to discover a «kids can stay in their car seats» drive through with good home style cookin’ food. Also a bonus when its freezing cold! I recommend the lemon chicken!

I was a big fan of their Clinton Twp., Michigan location — But that has changed hands. The owner, Alex, suggested I visit this location. I knew his lovely and smart wife, Gina(sp), was running the Clawson location. So the following week, off I went to visit. AGAIN… Great food, great prices and fast service as usual… And lucky me, I was served by that great hostess — Gina :-) Anyway, need I say it again? Great place to eat, fast and friendly service — My favorite –their Fish and Chip dinner — Yummy. Hey, even the water taste better than the Clinton Twp. location :-)

When I want to get a meal that I don’t have to think about, I go to Zorba’s. I can eat and do my work and be confident that the food will be timely, hot, good and my coffee cup will be magically refilled by the excellent staff. I happen to be a fan of diner coffee The décor is nothing to write about, it is clean and the coffee cups have 3rd party advertising, that I just love. Oh, and inexpensive to boot.

I think I’ve found a new weekend breakfast hangout that isn’t a chain coney island. On a recent visit, I got the breakfast special(eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast) plus a half order of chocolate chip pancakes(they gave me 4!) for around $ 5. The food was good, my waitress was very nice, and I will definitely be back for another visit soon!
