I have been going to this Quest location for years and I have experienced only very friendly efficient technicians. Maybe some of the Unilocal reviewers have an attitude in the morning after fasting all night!!! Anyhow– I posted this due to the negative reviews listed here. Keep up the great work Quest and ignore the negative comments in the reviews.

Worst experience I’ve ever had in a lab, and I’ve been a nurse for 21 years. Don’t bother making an appointment, even with 0 – 1 people besides us in the waiting room we waited 30 minutes. Was not able to find our lab test in their system, although I saw it on the screen, and didn’t offer to call the doctor to clarify the order. Rude to boot. Would NEVER consider this lab again.

Had to have some blood work and Quest was the selected location my doctor recommended. I made an appointment online for 9am and arrived at 8:50am. I was prompted greeted and signed in. The phlebotomist was really nice and promised to take good care of me. Being that I was having 11 tubes of blood drawn, she made sure I was comfortable and only stuck me once. I was in and out in under 20 mins. I’d definitely recommend.

Ideally, the mandatory drug screen required by most employers for new hires should be a simple drop-in procedure that can be completed over a lunch hour. Few people have the time in their busy schedule to sit around. I called in for an appointment at Quest in Clawson per instructions emailed to me by my employer. The receptionist acted like I was a fool for calling. She said appointments were only taken online and hung up. I made a same day appointment on their website. Upon arrival within ten minutes of my appointment, no one was at the front desk and three people were waiting in the sparse waiting room. I signed in on the clipboard. My appointment was in the next few minutes. The nurse/receptionist appeared 4 to 6 minutes later and called another patient before confirming my name. I noted the appointment time. She said, «It’s past that time now.» Yes, it was because she wasn’t there when I arrived on time. I understand chastising those who are late, but on-time appointments don’t deserve service with a sneer like I received. Rather than mutter under my breath, I retreated to a chair to peruse an ancient Time magazine. Another patient was sound asleep down the row. Someone else came in and just opened the door to the lab area like she was going to help herself to the bathroom, when she was clearly a patient and not staff. What I hoped would be a five minute wait stretched on and on and on. Quest policy at the front desk clearly states that appointments have priority but three walk-ins went ahead of me in the the twenty-five minutes I waited. What is the point of the appointment booking system if staff ignores it and rudely treats patients who may be on tight deadlines? When I finally got in, the nurse-receptionist treated me with a bit of a perfunctory attitude, handing me materials and tapping her toe impatiently when I asked for clarification on her lack of instructions. Since when is asking a genuine question a bad thing? I last did one of these tests several years ago with a totally different institution and who knows if the procedure is the same? When all was said and done, I hurried on my way to get out of that cesspit of terrible service. I’ll take my chances next time at another branch. If driving to Ann Arbor saves me dealing with this grumpy lady, so be it!
