I really, really wanted to love this place and I hope the quality of the food gets better so we can make this a regular place to eat and I can«love it». I hope this is seen as constructive criticism by management. First, our appetizers(fried mushrooms) had more than one in the very small portion that were still frozen inside, Our fries and onion rings were freshly fried but not cooked well and were mushy. The burgers were dry and tasteless and I think the buns may have been frozen as well. PLEASE train your cooks. The prices for the burgers were not out of line for what you pay everywhere else if the quality was there.

Great place, great atmosphere, great food! Exactly what we needed here. We didn’t think pricing was unreasonable at all. Karaōke night was a blast too. This place JUST opened so give them a little slack if service is slow here and there… especially when it’s totally packed! Will definitely be back again.

Decided to give them a try on 2÷19÷16. Arrived around 5:30PM, seated at a way too small table for two. Ordered 2 unsweet teas, and a chips and salsa app. The teas arrived with very little ice. When the app arrived, it was an interesting take on chips and salsa. A medium sized bowl, about 18 to 20 chips, with a very light coating of what can only be described as Pico de Gallo. Very disappointing. Placed a dinner order, from a fairly small menu selection. The wife had a classic cheeseburger, with cheddar, no onions. I opted for the mushroom and swiss. Her ordered arrived, onion in place, and american cheese. My order arrived 20 minutes later, after she had finished her meal. I also ended up with the bottom of the bag fries. You know the ones, parts, and pieces. I was very disappointed in the fries. I guess I was expecting more, like maybe home cut fries. I can do the frozen fries at home. The burgers had good flavor, but were undersized, over cooked, and the bun was too small. I was aware that this was just their second day being open, so perhaps they have not worked out all the kinks yet. I may, or may not give them a second shot. Maybe in a few weeks, if they make it that long. For me, a rare dinner out comes down to the basics. Quality of service, and can you make your food at least as good as I can, at a competitive price point. They failed on both points. If I spend 30 bucks for a small app, two unsweet teas, and two burgers, I expect them to be better than a trip to McDonald’s.

Had a horrible night out at the newly opened Cahaba Oaks Bar and grill in Clay. Prices for both food and drinks were way too high and the food portions were very low! Got 6 mini corn dog bites each one about as big as a Hershey’s chocolate kiss for 6 dollars and fries for 3 dollars! It was a rip off! Than there was a 4 dollar tip added to my ticket! A couple we came with had a 9 dollar tip added to their 50 dollar ticket! The service was terrible and very slow! First impressions are very important for a newly opened business and they definitely didn’t impress me at all! You can’t have a business like that in Clay and charge 280 or Hoover prices! My prediction is they won’t make it! You have been warned! Don’t make the same mistake I made!!!
