Clothes Mentor

Came here to bring in clothes and informed they were done buying clothes for the day and proceeded to tell us the hours they buy clothes. Would of been nice when I looked on their website to see their hours if the buying hours were included so I don’t waste my time and gas. So irritating.

Clothes Mentor is a women’s used clothing store in the JoAnnes Fabric Plaza across from Great Northern Mall.
There is also a location in DeWitt, but it has a different owner.
So Clothes Mentor buys used clothing for resale. I have sold clothes to them, and they are super picky. Clothing can’t have any damage and can be denied for being over two years old or not being to their determined style. I’ve seen people get really frustrated selling clothes back, but I’ve also seen the staff handle questions about why things were refused in a very professional manner.
I’ve never had an issue with their purchasing rules because I just stop by on my way to donate items, so for me it is found money.
Which, by the way, usually ends up right back in their register!
As a buyer, I have great luck in the Clay store, not as much in the Erie Boulevard location. They have a great selection of seasonally appropriate clothing that is priced very reasonably. They often have higher end and designer items. They usually have a great selection of gently used designer purses, they tend to be heavy on Coach, but I see a lot of Michael Kors there as well.
I always leave the Clay location with some great finds. I’ve scored everything from accessories to a beautiful coat, and I often find tops and skirts there. I definitely recommend stopping by with an open mind.
