Was here again today and it was another great massage from Amy! Will be back next week!

Massage from Christie was fabulous. She asked several times how I was doing and she worked on the areas I asked for. She did not talk much (which is what I like). I have been going here for many years. It’s close to where I live and always GREAT service.

First time here today and let me tell you it was aaaaamazing!
Had a 90 minute massage with Amy and she worked out my tension and knots like no other. She was punctual, started on the dot and did not stop until my 90 minutes were up. Definitely will be back to see her when I need a pick me up. Only reason I gave it a 4 star is because of the lighting. The room is relatively bright, so flipping over onto my back was not really pleasant. I would suggest a lamp that you can dim to not lose that relaxing ambience. Other than that Amy is awesome!

My first real spa experience was at the Claremont Spa in Oakland many many years ago. It was breath taken. I hadn’t found another place locally that compared to them until I went to CMB. Tess did her thing. I will definitely return.

I’ve been going to Brenda for facials and waxing at her Martinez location for over a year and I’m so excited she’s now available in Clayton! I have my face, brows, and underarms waxed and facial every 2 – 3 weeks. Not sure of the name but the wax she uses does not require fabric strips to remove and isn’t as uncomfortable when removed. Waxing is followed by extractions and Brenda is a master of getting «the deep ones.» The mask that follows is refreshing, soothing, and natural. While the mask sits I enjoy a hand and foot massage, love it! My experience is wrapped up with a gentle mist of sandalwood (and some other stuff :)) as I inhale deeply. I am amazed how well my makeup goes on the next morning! Not to mention the overall improvement in the look and feel of my skin. My new favorite service Brenda offers is a full body scrub!
My 10 year old daughter enjoyed her facial with just a few extractions. For me the best part was when Brenda explained to her how to take care of her skin and the importance of sunscreen! Brenda aka Brenda the Braider has also worked her magic on my daughter’s hair with 5 strand braids and ribbon just before our Disneyland trip.
Brenda is one of a kind! Love love love her! She’s a concert, therapy session, and skincare specialist all rolled into one! I should mention if soft music and quiet is what your looking for that’s what you’ll get.

Tess provided a great massage. The price is very reasonable given my expereiences with other area massage therapists. I will definitiely be going back. Also, I was able to get an appointment on one day’s notice.

This place was ok. Came here for a massage and facial combo. Was reasonably priced and clean. The décor leaves something to be desired and the location is difficult to find as its in the back of a parking lot and there is very little signage. As for the services i found the massage good. The practitioner was strong and listened to my needs. Heres the problem, the facial and the practitioner. He (yes he) talked through the whole facial. With no que or encouragement from me he talked and talked. Also when i asked about what the facial included and specifically asked if it included extractions, he told me that normally the facials do but since i was receiving a package purchased through a discount site that he would not do the extractions because he «would have to buy more product to do the extractions for all the discount customers and quite frankly Im cheap,» his words not mine. Up till that point i would have considered coming back but there is no better way to discourage repeat business then to make a customer feel as though they are receiving discounted services even of they pay a discounted price. I found the whole facial awkward and off putting. Also he kept encouraging me to buy clean and clear products. WTF

I had a facial & a massage. I was surprised that they started with the facial. I didn’t receive any feedback so I’m not sure that that was a good thing or not. I was hoping for some advise on how to better treat my skin but I am glad they didn’t try to sell me any expensive products. Then it was on to the massage. Seems odd to me that right after a facial I had to lie face down on a towel which wiped off the cream and left red marks on my face. The massage was very good and the masseuse focused on the areas I had asked her to. Overall it was okay.

The best massage, hands down. Tess is awesome and is the reason that I keep coming back! She has restored movement in my upper back and neck, she is so great and I am lucky to have found that place!

Well I wish I could even give you a review on the inside of this place but I never even made it that far. I made an appointment two weeks ago for today, online. I received conformation and setup a babysitter for my two kids. The day comes and being a mom and in the middle of a move I was REALLY looking forward to my 90 min massage. I get a call as I’m leaving out the door.,” Babysitter was here and everything”! Telling me: Heather, this is Clayton Mind & Body Connections, Amy is sick so we have to cancel your appointment. I was shocked that they would call so close to my appointment and cancel like that. So I called and talked to the owner to only have him tell me, «Well I’m sorry but theres nothing I can do. Really nothing huh? I’m very disappointed that I wasn’t even offered anything for my inconvenience.

David (owner) was very professional and personable during my visit. Tess the masseuse was incredible and also very professional. I will definitely use them in future. Well priced and located (easy parking).

I have probably had hundreds of massages over the years from a variety of providers and have to say I have been very impressed with the service from this business.
They were quick to respond to my voicemail and squeezed me in for a same day appointment.
The masseuse, Tess was absolutely phenomenal. She found every injury without me telling her and worked them out with with perfect amount of pressure. Really helped with my pain.

Five stars because they honored a gift certificate I had misplaced. So, that is great customer service right out the gate. Made a convenient appt. time and went in for an hour massage with Amy, who was very well-​spoken (no «um, like, you know») as we went into detail about certain issues I am having with some sports injuries. She made a plan with me on how the massage would go down as far as time spent on overall body and time spent on trouble areas. At all times checked in on the pressure. I was comfortable and warm and it was quiet. The massage felt great and was greeted out the door with some cool water. Overall experience was fantastic and I can recommend this spa and Amy highly. Going back for a Signature Sampler later and perhaps some other spa treatments. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES IN CLAYTON!

I had Tess do my pre-​natal massage, and I’ve gone twice (within a one month period! and I’m frugal!). The first time, I was having these tension headaches – all the time – and being pregnant, couldn’t take anything but non-​effective tylenol for them. My OB said it was probably caused by stress, so I went in for a one-​hour pre-​natal massage and told Tess the problem. I fell asleep during the massage – so relaxing! And afterwards, I stopped getting the headaches. I went back two weeks later for the facial/​massage combo, and her massage was even better the second time around – a little bit more pressure, but still gentle enough for me to fall asleep again. And the price was awesome since it was $ 5 off for paying cash (st. patrick special) and $ 5 off for printing out a coupon on their website.
The facial was just so-​so, which is why they only get 4 stars. But the owner is super nice! I think it might be that facials just aren’t my thing.
I will be definitely be going back for the massage though. :)

I went in to get a massage and my wife got a facial. They were able to get us in right away and they did a wonderful massage. They are very experienced and courteous people. I will definitely be coming back.

So I guess they read my review on here, because they contacted me and offer for me to come back for a complimentary massage. That one wasnt much better as it was so loud the entire time I was getting it, You can here everyone talking outside of your massage room. Three stars for being proactive and trying to make things better.

My husband and I came here Christmas weekend and both really enjoyed our massages. My masseuse was Christy. I like firm massages more on the deep side and she did a fantastic job for a very reasonable price. The massage I received from Christie was just as good if not better than the expensive day spas I have been to. I just made my second appointment (on Tuesday for Sunday) and this time for a two hour massage (the cost is the same as a one hour massage at other salons). This is not your swanky spa like Changes in Walnut Creek, but if you want a good massage and enjoy not having to schedule your appointment months in advance I would suggest Clayton Mind and Body.

I went here one time to get a facial. The gentleman who works there did a really good job. He uses great product also. The place is very nice and relaxing. He also gives great tips to take care of your skin at home.
