Beware gift certificate buyers! My son bought me a $ 125 gift card for massage envy for Mother’s Day. It came with a 30 minute upgrade. Because they don’t extend member pricing to nonmembers except once every six months, I can only use this gift card once and get member pricing. I got a facial, and then was told that I couldn’t use the 30 minute upgrade for a massage on my next appointment six months from now because it expires before then. My son spent $ 125 so that I could get a facial at massage envy. Nonmember pricing is ridiculous, no one would pay the nonmember price except at a full-service the facility that had a relaxation room and other amenities that this place doesn’t have. Very disappointed.

Do not go here. What a rip off. I joined. When I wanted to cancel my membership after almost 2 years they were horrible no real cancelation policy and nothing about 30 days. They keep taking your money. When I take my final massage they try to charge me because i canceled more than 30 days ago. They need to read their contracts. Shame shame shame because the people working there are good. They should quit working for Such an unethical company. I will never go back or ever recommend them

this place is the worst ever! i cancelled my member ship about a year ago because they are incredibly difficult to get in with and when you do get in they cancel constantly. now my husband is having the same problem he has 15 hours built up because every time he schedules for a massage it gets cancelled the day of. i cant wait to be done with this place.

BEVERYCAREFULBEFORESIGNINGUPFORANYMEMBERSHIPTOMASSAGEENVY Ok, heres the deal. Massage Envy, this location and apparently a lot of the others, has the most shady of business practices. I started a membership in June of 2014. I went for one mediocre massage, but quickly realized that it wasn’t for me. Unfortunately I read the contract and it stated that I could not cancel my membership within the first year except for a few extreme circumstances. So, being the understanding guy I am, I continued to pay my monthly dues for that 12 month period. At $ 49 a month, do the math, and I NEVER went back again. Now that the 12 month period had expired, I figured, no problem to cancel, so I called them up. The girl on the phone told me I would have to talk to a manager and that he/she would be calling me. NEVER did that happen. So I called again, same thing. At this time I was clearly getting the run around so I cancelled my c/c to not incur any further charges. This was six months ago and I have been hounded by calls to pay and now my account has been sent to collections. So again I reach out, but this time on Facebook, figuring the social side would get results. Sure, somebody says«give me your contact info and I’ll call». They don’t need my contact info, they send me notices to pay every month. I told them, go ahead call. NEVER did they call. Good luck getting an appointment here. Apparently being a member means nothing. I’ve tried making many appointments over the past year and have only been able to get a couple because they are always«booked», even days or a week or more out.

HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE. I made my appointment a month ago to get a Swedish massage done the day before my wedding(which is today). I have been a salon manager for years and found it odd that they didn’t do a confirmation call for my appointment yesterday. I meant to call them to see what’s up but I was so busy with wedding planning it slipped my mind. As I was heading for my 4:30 appointment, I noticed a voice message. Played it and discovered it was Massage Envy asking me if I was still coming for my 4 o’clock appointment. I immediately called back and told them that no, it was supposed to be for 4:30. She put me on hold and then came back and said there was nothing she could do and the soonest they had was 9 p.m. I am soooo upset!!! This was supposed to be the one relaxing thing I was going to do for myself before the wedding. There was no remorse given and no other options. Thanks Massage Envy! Will never ever book an appointment with you guys again. You ruined my afternoon. To future patrons, ALWAYS call them if they don’t do a reminder call.

I’ve been having a Mother’s Day Gift Certificate since MAY of this year and EVERYTIME I call for an appointment this location is fully booked! My cousin came to Concord twice from Los Angeles this year and twice she WALKED in for an hour massage with NOAPPOINTMENT and got in!!! What the hell is wrong with this picture??? I can’t rate their services but the appointment and non-appointment policy is truly fucked up. I’m so irritated and tired of hearing over the phone, «We are absolutely booked for today»… I would like to go to this location because it’s close to home and convenient, but I guess I have to be an out of town walk in customer. Now I’m even more tense than I was! Thanks for being a nice looking building that takes up space though.

I cannot say enough about how much I love Massage Envy Spa in Concord! First off I made a last minute appt. on a Thursday afternoon. I am totally serious when I say last minute, I called at 3:35 and Angie was available at 4:00. Angie was absolutely fabulous! She was very thorough explaining step by step what she was doing and what she was using on my face. She gave me a heavenly neck and shoulder massage. I’m pretty sure I started snoring at the end. Sorry about that Angie, hee! When the facial was done I signed up for a membership! Jeanette and another woman, sorry I don’t remember who the other person was, signed me up. I had an issue with my cc and they were both so wonderful. They didn’t make me feel like a loser when I had to call to my bank to straighten it out. I have to give a shout out to Jeanette! She was so great to work with. I had some questions and I called her endlessly and she was so friendly. She was always warm and answered all of my questions no hesitation! I highly recommend Massage Envy Spa in the Clayton Shopping Center!

I have had many problems with Massage Envy over the years that I have been a member. I am seriously considering dropping my membership because the staff really could not care less if you are a member or not. The manager that I’ve dealt with in the past is on leave for an indefinite period and now there is no one on staff that has any authority to fix problems. The Sales manager I spoke to today gave canned answers that I’m sure she read off a script and really couldn’t care less about the customer satisfaction of a member. I just think their management as a whole is pretty poor, with no good systems in place!

Massage Envy is like the MacDonalds of massage spas. They are a large chain, and the massage therapists are just so-so. If you want a real massage, I recommend going to a REAL spa. The 60 minute massage is only 50 minutes, sometimes less. They are next door to 5 Guys, so if you have a room on the left side, you hear the kitchen your entire massage. The rooms are poorly sound-proofed, so you hear any conversation outside your room, or in other rooms near-by. It takes way too long to check out. They have about 2 – 3 people working the front desk, so you’d think they’d be more efficient.

I’ve been coming to this location for over a year now seeing Sara for my facials. I LOVEHER! She has helped my skin so much! When I first met Sara I was going through a really bad time with my skin, for the first time in my life(at 25) I had developed acne! I wanted some place that I could be consistent with facials, fairy inexpensive, and had a great product line I could start using, that is exactly what you get at Massage Envy. The Murad products are affordable and last forever(I just reached half the bottle on the cleanser I use everyday… bought last April.) They, along with monthly facials, have changed my skin completely. I highly recommend Sara, and this location, and the product line. Oh and when our schedules don’t match up I have also seen Raquelle(sp?) at this location and she was awesome too!

If you get a facial, Stephanie is a must! She is so professional. She has a wealth of knowledge regarding facial regimens and is extremely nice. I can see myself going to her for facials forever.

If you need a deep tissue massage, see Heather! I’ve been a member of Massage Envy for about 10 years and Heather is by far the best masseuse. I drive to Concord from Martinez and it is worth the drive. She is professional and attentive. Always remembers the areas I need work on, and never is chatty. I must admit, it’s not always soothing, but after it’s over, I have relief from the areas of pain that I have. Five stars for sure!

I have been a member of massage envy for about two years, been to five or six different locations and was not impressed until I found Heather a few months ago. She gives a killer deep tissue and is super intuitive. Can’t give enough praise.

So I’ve been seeing Caiden for the past year or so, at least 6 months, I can’t remember. Anyway, Caiden is a GREAT massage therapist, I don’t even live in the area anymore, but I still go see Caiden every 2 weeks. I’m VERY picky with who I allow to give me a massage, so the fact that I drive all the way from Oakland to this location just to see him says a lot! I’ve recommended my clients and family to Caiden and they’ve all been very pleased. In a nutshell– great technique & pressure, as well as very professional.

had a great experience with the front staff and Danielle did a fantastic job on my very achy back! Just went in for a second massage with Dian, she was really great too. This 2nd go around the room was freezing, bed warmer didn’t work, loud music from tanning salon. Tough to relax but the massage was good.

I went there once, years ago and it was ‘meh’. Not great but nothing bad either. Now I’m getting robo-calls from this store asking me to sign up for their automated texting. While robo-calling current customers is profoundly bad idea, robo-calling people who have demonstrated no interest in your services will only serve to keep us away permanently.

I’ve been a member of massage envy for about 3 – 4 years now and always had good experiences. I don’t have any masseuse I see regularly due to my schedule but today I got an amazing massage by Nester! Super pleased with how attentive he was and addressed every problem area. Highly recommend Nester for relaxation or problematic areas:)) I will be seeing him again!

I have been going to Massage Envy for many years and found the therapists to be ok. But Then I found«Nester» at the clayton spa and he is the best I’ve ever had. He is very Professional, and he has the touch that made me feel safe and secure. He attends to problem areas and goes deeper if nesessary and softer if Nessesary. I’ve been to him now 6 – 7 times and just won’t go unless I can have him work on me. He has made my massage experiance something I look forward to every month. Thanks Nester. You’re the best. I’ve been coming to massage envy for a while now, mainly for their facials. I had Sara the last couple of times and she’s been awesome! Love her! She makes the experience so relaxing and honestly I fell asleep a few times.(As a mother of 3, that’s a good thing!) Already booked my next appointment with her.
