DeMun Park

What a sweet little park for the wittle babies.
I take my cousin’s little one here quite often and adore the fact that the playground equipment is made for toddlers. It’s usually full of nice parents and their toddlers running around happily exploring the park. It’s pretty small, but that doesn’t bother me much… it’s actually pretty nice because you don’t have to worry about your kids getting out of your sight.
I swear, every time I walk by this park it looks like it’s something out of a movie. Blankets spread out everywhere with happy babies sitting on top of them, toddlers attempting to climb the equipment, parents having conversation… so cool to have this park as an option. Walk down to Kaldi’s and get a coffee before you go… or as Julia mentioned, Oh Lolli Lolli is right next to the park so you can go get your kiddos a snow cone or some ice cream when you’re done.
Such a fan of this little place! It’s going to be a while before I start having little miniature Aimee’s, but when it happens, I’m sure I’ll visit here quite often.

My favorite St. Louis playground! This park is perfect for little ones because the equipment isn’t too big, so I don’t have to fuss over him falling or getting hurt, and it is FENCED IN!!! (Shouldn’t EVERY playground be!!!) My friends and I had a tradition of picnicking there every Wednesday for awhile so we could chat while the little ones played, we held my son’s second birthday party there, and Oh Lolli Lolli — an ADORABLE little candy shop — is right next to the park! What a treasure!

DeMun is pretty much the perfect park for my family right now. It’s enclosed, so our 20-​month-​old has complete freedom to run around and I don’t have to worry about him skipping out of the park and onto the street. The equipment is designed primarily for toddlers, so the majority of the kids playing at DeMun are probably between 18-​months and 4 years old. Not only is this nice because there usually aren’t any big kids around, oblivious to the little ones and mowing them down, but there are some really excellent opportunities to meet some new parent-​friends!
Everyone we’ve ever talked to at DeMun Park has been incredibly friendly, their children kind, well-​behaved and sharing. Not that I don’t expect the best of everyone, but it is actually shocking how wonderful everyone seems to be there!
There are drinking fountains in the park, but no bathrooms – not a problem, though, as Kaldi’s is right down the street for a quick snack, drink and bathroom break. And Oh Lolli Lolli, the sweetest little candy shop I’ve ever seen, is *right* next to the park. Danger. :)
Last reason to love DeMun? Trucks! All kinds of interesting trucks drive by (especially this Spring, with some construction going on across the way at the seminary). What more could a toddler want?

This is pretty much a park for the kiddies. They’ve got two playgrounds — one for toddlers and one for older children. There’s an iron fence to keep the kids safe inside and a winding path where kids can ride their tricycles. It’s practically next door to Kaldi’s, offering a sanctuary for little ones who’ve worked up an appetite after all that playing.
