Made an appointment with Dr. Roccos for my first visit. The initial consultation was kind of a joke — a tour of the office, which you can basically see from the sitting area, forcing x-rays on me for an additional $ 50 and making me feel like they couldn’t possibly treat me without them, and a lot of waiting. I think I actually saw Dr. Roccos for maybe 5 minutes total. And this was supposed to be my new patient visit! For what they charge for a new patient visit, I was expecting a lot more time with the doc. From every angle I got the impression that this place was geared toward schlepping as many patients as possible in and out of the office for maximum profit and very little attention to each patient. Dr. Roccos gave me a very patronizing lecture about gravity, how the body is affected by it, and made my situation seem dire. I have been getting chiropractic treatment since 2008, so I really think I have a pretty decent handle on what my body needs but she didn’t want to hear any of it. One of the reasons I decided to give Elite Chiropractic a try was because I called before and was assured that the doctors do ART(active release technique). I asked for it on my first visit(for $ 150) and Dr. Roccos basically refused to do it and said that she didn’t want to «overwhelm my nervous system», which was ridiculous. She gave me maybe two adjustments and was out the door before I could even ask her about anything else. And remember this is my new patient visit! And I asked to be put on the rolling table after my adjustment and was informed it may be an extra charge! I have been to many chiropractic offices and this has never been the case, especially when I’m paying $ 150 for a new patient appointment! Against my better judgment, I made a second appointment with Dr. Roccos, hoping for a better experience, and unfortunately did not — this visit included a bunch of waiting for a 3 minute appointment and she again refused to do any ART on me, even though I knew I really needed it. It was expensive and unhelpful — bad combination. Dr. Roccos has a very arrogant attitude and acts like there’s nothing helpful a patient can tell her about their body. She even recommended that I come in 3x/week for 3 weeks! Yet another sign that this place is just about making money and not patient care. Her list of other recommendations that the receptionist gave me included getting custom orthotics — which I already have and which she would have known if she had bothered talking to me about anything instead of ushering me in and out as fast as possible. She really thinks she knows EVERYTHING and doesn’t listen to patients at all. I’ve heard similar stories about her from other people in town who have tried Elite. I tried Dr. Rickelman after seeing Dr. Roccos twice and she was SPECTACULAR but of course she isn’t there anymore so there’s no reason to visit Elite again.

I have been using Elite Chiropractic Center since September & found Dr. Rocco’s truly amazing. Extremely knowledgable, friendly and caring. Do not let her looks fool you, she gets in there and cracks the stiffest of backs around the huskiest of people like me. She also uses a variety of treatments when necessary. The staff is friendly, helpful and makes it a pleasure to visit. A good friend of mine is a Chiropractor whom I was seeing prior to arriving here & honestly Dr. Rocco’s is better hands down which hurts me in a way to say, but it is true. My neighbor I had recommended to Elite had never been to Chiropractor before loves her. She really knows her stuff on nutrition & I know your back will love her like mine does.
