It’s pretty damn good pizza. Bit of a snob when it comes to pizza and this place was good. I have had it delivered and ate in.

The pizza here is one of my favorites of all time. 3 stars due to service… They refuse to acknowledge prices for specials listed on their website. Be very wary of what you’re being charged and that it is correct.

We enjoy the Greek salad and pizza. It’s fast and simple food, conveniently located. The place needs some upgrades and cleaning. And the young man behind the counter should be instructed on social behavior, such as ‘Hello’ and ‘Thank you’ …

I ordered a slice of pizza with extra pepperoni. What I got was an old slice of pizza, rewarmed in an oven. The cheese was rubbery and the sauce was thick from settling. It’s not my favorite place to eat.

Some of the best pizza in the area. Really enjoy the NY pepperoni pizza when we’re in the mood for something traditional. Otherwise we custom order our own and are always satisfied.

Cool pizza joint on Main Street. I like this place, the food seems honest and the pizza is delicious. The pizza is on the same level with places I have eaten in larger cities, so it is nice to see this is a smaller town.

This is the BEST pizza in Clayton/Raleigh/Garner. Fast, fresh, wide variety of toppings and great garlic knots. Huge slices and the crust is awesome. Parking is limited, but primos delivers if you don’t want to deal with the hassle of downtown(we have always found a spot for the record).

Some of the best pizza ever! Always tasty! It is so fresh and hot every time I eat there. I wish it was bigger but it also has a small town dive to it as well. Great location too.

Moved from Winston Salem, NC to Clayton 3 years ago. Tried 3 pizza places here and Primo is the best in Clayton! Pizza is great!

Wonderful pizza. We had a get together and wanted to try some new pizza. This was some very good pizza. A little pricey but still the pizza was very delicious. Can’t want to go back for more.

Great pizza. They deliver lunch to our office ontime, every time. Nice family run pizza place that makes great ny style pizza. They have accomodated every request and never let us down.

Maybe they have fantastic pizza. We came in on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered a Italian sub a chicken finger basket since they have no kids menu and a chicken wrap. All was sub par. Ranch was the most watered down I have ever seen. The girl at the register was not friendly or helpful. We won’t be back.

This little place was recommend to us by a local when we were visiting the area. They had some of the best pizza we have experienced. If you are in this quaint little town, it is worth a visit.

I followed the NJ girls advice(Jen A) after her review. Although I have also relocated from NJ& had five other pizzas in Clayton within the last two months here, so far this place is the winner. We ordered an 18″ pizza to have there with a spinach & mushroom calzone this evening. The calzone was really tasty as it was cooked to perfection & topped with garlic and oil. So it was like a garlic knot(where I come from) stuffed. The only downfall was minimal, I mean minimal ricotta cheese, maybe ½−¾ for my calzone which I must say disappointed me(see pic). The pizza was a wee bit salty which may be in the sauce. Now to be fair I do not salt really anything so take my comment in stride. I like my pizza thin & crispy but forgot to relay that when I ordered. However, the pizza was cooked right, tasty & very good for area. With 2 Soda’s from fountain cost 23 beans. It is a Pizza place with booths & tables so dress is not an issue. I will go back & try the pizza thin & crispy! I was surprised not to see any menus around so I took pic of black board. I would not drive out of my way for the pizza, but if your here I think you would enjoy it.

A very good slice. Nice and crispy on the bottom and the sausage slice I got had a lot of sausage on it… They did not get 5 stars for two reasons… I personally like a little bit of a spicier sauce, and I prefer crumbled sausage over sliced, but I haven’t found anyone in NC that does that yet. Overall a winner and a front runner for my Clayton Pizza scene.

This really is the best pizza around. I grew up in NY and can tell you this — a lot of places around here CLAIM to have NY-ish pizza but this place reminds me of some places in Brooklyn. Not the most aesthetically pleasing, but I look in the back often and and can tell it is clean. The owner is very nice and this a family-run place. In other words — they care about your business. Try it — you’ll enjoy…

Kind of run down inside and out, but the pizza is great; probably the best Clayton has to offer. I’ve ordered out 5 – 6 times and it’s now the only place I’ll go in the area.

We just moved to NC from NJ as my husband’s employer transferred us. Being Northerners we know what a good NY Pizza is, and this place has it! We’ve been in NC for 1 month now, and we really haven’t had the chance to try all the pizza places yet. We only had pizza from one other place in town until now, who I will say was good, but Primo’s was way better! I’m a fan! Loved the special, 2 slices and a fountain drink for $ 4.99. We’ll definitely be going back.

Went here with my family. The pizza was pretty good. The customer service wasn’t bad, but could be better. The price is a little too high to really be worth it.

We finally made it to Primo Pizza Friday night. They are located in downtown Clayton in the space formerly occupied by Lucky Chicken. They have about a dozen tables and it definitely has a old time pizzeria kinda vibe. For me, a take-out kinda place. The pizza was pretty good. Thin to medium crust, nice flavor to the sauce and they don’t skimp on toppings. I’m not an authority on authentic NY style pizza but, I thought this was a pretty good pie. Service was friendly and efficient and our take out order was ready when promised. They have a pretty ambitious menu with most of the«Italian» standards. We’ll definitely be back.
