Fantastic meal every time we eat there. Fresh ingredients, great service and they’re not shy about the spice level. Go conservative on the number of stars you select– a four star will leave you sweating and downing extra beverages. The Tom kha soup is amazing, and they do justice to the old standby of phad thai– you won’t be disappointed.

Just ordered it at our work. We all really enjoyed it. Nice to have a healthy and fresh place to get Thai food in Cle Elum. Have yet to dine in but so far pretty happy with the food.

We have been here many times since they opened & really like it. The service is good, the food is fresh & has a few dishes that you don’t find on other Thai menus. Many of the sauces are thinner than what I am used to, but they are really good. The spice level here also tends to be slightly higher than other Thai restaurants; instead of ordering 3* like I do elsewhere, I order 2* here. Finally, we like it a lot, but the prices seem slightly higher then they should be. But we obviously keep going back…

First time visit, we ordered take out Tom Ka Tofu & Tofu Pad Thai. The Tom Ka soup was only half full, barely enough for one serving for one person(ordered for two) and the pad thai was awful. The noodles were burned, there were hard crystals in it(not sure what they were, maybe burned MSG, maybe dirt, who knows…) and was extra greasy. The soup was relatively tasty, based on that and other reviews, we will give Best of Thai one more try & visit in-person. Way overpriced for the value & quality, get much better Thai in Seattle.

Go. That is the best review I can give. I’d you find yourself in Cle Elum, then go. We have had Thai food in Canada, the United States, London, Shanghai and most importantly — Thailand. This was superb — both the very friendly service and the fabulous food. So GO and ENJOY!

I must say, I was very surprised to see a Thai Restaurant in Cle Eleum, but very happy. We ordered the Tom Yum and found it much better than the Thai restaurants we ate at in Seattle. We also had Seafood Thai Style Phở which was also very good. The Thai owner and Thai cook are doing it right. It’s a bit cool inside due to lack of proper heating, but order the food medium or hot and you will warm up quickly. Great food, great people and a clean restaurant.

We just ate a great lunch at Best of Thai. The Mango Paradise and My Woman curry is delicious! Restaurant is clean and tidy, and the service is fast. The building is not attractive from the street but its what’s inside that counts!

Wow… these folks have to get it together or their business is not going to survive. And that’s too bad because the food is good(for Cle Elum) and it’s nice to be able to get something other than tacos or a hamburger here. My husband and I ate here shortly after it opened and our service was not bad, but SURPRISE! they only take cash. So he had to get in the car and drive to the bank while I sat there. We ordered spring rolls and phad thai. The spring roll was OK, but there was only one limp prawn in each one. The phad thai was better, but yes, SPICY! I love spice but the 3 stars was a bit much for me. Last night we ordered phad thai to take out and the service was something out of a Three Stooges movie. I gave the waitress $ 100 bill for our order which was $ 23.45. They still only take cash but now they have an ATM machine. But get this, they don’t have a cash register! She fumbled around in a bank envelope for change, in the pocket of her apron for change, went into the kitchen for change and eventually was $ 1 short. One of the waitresses opened up her wallet to look to see if she had a dollar. Nope. Finally the other one produced a dollar bill. Then she counted it out to me backwards and I had to recount it to make sure that all the $ 5 bills she gave me instead of $ 20’s added up. This was around 5:30PM so I have no idea how they were able to make change for the rest of their customers. Then, when we got the food home, the take-out boxes were not marked! We had to taste the food to figure out which was 1 star and which one was 2(I ratcheted mine down after the last experience). What Thai take-out place doesn’t mark the boxes? This time the 2 stars was not spicy at all so I had to add sriracha sauce to spice it up. The food was still good, but geez people get a cash register!

If you like Hot and Spicy you will love this place.(You can get non spicy too) Fresh healthy food cooked to order and fast friendly service. Lots of menu choices. The place is not much to look at and could use a lot of decorating improvements but the food makes up for that. Do your taste buds a favor and stop in at Best of Thai

Update! I grew a pair and gave it a second chance and wow I’m glad I did. Our server was a super nice Asian lady who gave us great service and was always smiling. Our food came out fast and delicious. I’m so happy! I love Thai food! So I was jazzed to see this place going in and couldn’t wait for it to open. So I finally made it in for dinner and it just broke my heart. This could have been the worst run restaurant I have ever been in. Under staffed with scatter brained waitresses and waters. You feel totally ignored, you have to constantly ask for simple things like water and drinks you ordered twenty minutes earlier. Get up and get your own menu after sitting for fifteen minutes. Listen to the waitress complain about the new guy when shs the one giving you lame service. Finally after about an hour plus you get your food and it’s so spicy you can’t eat it. What! I’m the spice master and I can’t barely stand it?(I warned the table next to me as they would be ordering eventually. I dared them to try my panag and they did and agreed way to hot.) The waitress over heard the whole thing and saw we couldn’t eat it but made dash for the door without asking if their was anything she could do to help. We asked for milk to cool off the heat before our mouths started blistering but to no avail. So needless to say we when the up front to get our check as it would have been another half hour to get the check. So really the goods not bad, scale back the stars and it might be just fine average Thai and I’ll take it for Cle Elum. But the service was the worst! Fix it and you have a chance to make it.

Let me start out by saying that I was glad to see this place opening up, but some things need to change before I go back. After ordering it took 30min for my water to come out after reminding her to get us it twice. She blamed it on the other waiter even though she took my order. 20min later the appetizer came out. 20min after the appetizer the main course came out which was good other then the three star was not edible! And I like spicy foods. The the waiter never came around to give us the check so we had to ask the other waiter. Service was terrible and the food was way to spice but good.

We went with another couple for dinner 8÷21÷15 and were pleasantly surprised. The service was a bit hit or miss but then it was our server’s first night and the restaurant had only been open a few days. Given some time the kinks will get worked out and the front of the house will equal the kitchen. The food was great but be careful about how spicy it is. 1 star is mild, 2 stars gets pretty hot but when we commented on this we were told that they will do 1.5 or whatever you want as far as heat. We tried some common dishes such as Pad Thai along with others we had not seen before. When we return I think we will stay with the new offerings, they were much more interesting. Beer and wine is on offer at reasonable prices. The new owners have worked hard to clean the establishment from top to bottom. I think this restaurant will be a great addition to the area.
