Heading back to Bellingham after picking up a pony in Thorp, we planned to stop in Cle Elum for coffee & road snacks. I had seen the dog stand review on Unilocal, but we were pressed for time and decided to skip it. Imagine our surprise to find the dogs are now being served up in Gunnar’s coffee shop! They were sooo tasty! Messy and packed full of yummy flavors. Cle Elum was always my jump-off point for camping & hiking the Teanaway area. It has changed a lot over the years, but I think the town is doing it right. Some modern conveniences, but not ruined yet… I can’t wait to come back through for more…
