The Virginia Welcome Center(officially known as the Winchester Safety Rest Area/Virginia Welcome Center) is located on Interstate 81(I-81) Southbound around mile marker 320. It’s a modern welcome center, having been renovated in 2008. There is a ton of facilities here, including restrooms, and information center, vending machines, water fountains, picnic shelters and picnic tables, grills, a playground, a dog walking area, recycling containers, and more! Very clean and well maintained! A welcome respite for bio breaks and leg stretching!
