Loved this place! We wanted to make a pit-stop at a brewery on the drive from Cedar Falls to Minneapolis and randomly picked Lake Time. I am SO glad we did! The beers were amazing. I tried all 9, and genuinely loved 8 of them(and I’ve never had a Porter that I enjoyed, so I certainly can’t blame Lake Time for that).

What a spectacular place this is! I came over with a buddy on a lazy Thursday and I was blown away with what we found. It’s located just off the center of town in a relatively non-descript house that was apparently an old funeral home. Plenty of seating outside when it’s nice and seating for about 30 or so inside, including some legit chairs and couches inside to the left. Simple décor and a chill atmosphere make it homey and create a really nice neighborhoody vibe. The master brewer — Bob — is nothing short of genius with his beer creations. Ranging from light and summery to dark and wintery, there is something for even the most discriminating of beer palate. As a dark beer buy, I tried the Anchor’s Away and the Brown Ale. I don’t say this lightly, but the Anchor’s Away may be the favorite beer I’ve had this year. An imperial stout that hails with coffee and chocolate notes, but finishes incredibly smooth — this is the beverage of Kings! The Brown was lovely as well, though eclipsed in my mind by the AA. The lemon Weis, Double IPA and Sandy Bottom were all excellent — in fact, one of the most impressive beer lineups I’ve seen in a long time. As stated, Bob is mixing up some magic in this spot. While there’s no kitchen here, they do serve a meat/cheese tray done by a local place that is downright delish! Cheese curds, some peppered salami and cheese twisty pretzels make this a crowd pleaser without the pretentious hype. For $ 5, it’s absolutely worth getting! All said and done, this was some of the best beer I’ve had in a long time, was a super chill atmosphere and is run by some incredibly nice folks. When in town, this is a must see for any beer fan!

Cute little brewery in an old Victorian house. Patio seating. Inside is very quaint. Service was good, very friendly and helpful staff. Funny signs all around. They sell apparel and glasses. You can buy Boston pints or growlers of beer. Good variety of beer styles. Fun, laid back atmosphere. I would definitely hang out here again.

Absolutely awesome. Great atmosphere where you can actually carry on a conversation and relax with friends. Great beer for any taste. Their seasonal/special brews are always fun. Love the porter and the brown on the regular menu. Great staff who make you feel welcome and take good care of you. Owners absolutely rock and know their beer. Love this place. It’s like my Cheers.

A great place to relax and try some new beers! The environment makes it feel like your enjoying a beer at a buddy’s home. The servers were patient and perfectly pleasant. I recommend the«Around the Lake» if your up for an 8 beer flight!

I came from Chicago and discovered Lake Time. What an amazing find. I sampled their Porter and ended up buying two growlers. The staff, the patrons and the brewer were all amazing. Everyone was very friendly. Good time. Loved it.

Very cool and chill atmosphere! As someone who has been to a lot of breweries. This one is pretty up there! Bonus: the beer is also delicious! I had the porter and my fiancé(a self proclaimed beer snob) had the IPA and raved about it! If you are anywhere near, totally worth checking out!

Fabulous. I sampled three beers before deciding on two to get to go. I got two 32 oz growlers. The IPA is fabulous, and I am a huge IPA fan. Of the 100+ I have tried this is in the top 10. I also got the wheat and it was really good too, for a light beer. Definitely go here if you are in town… and if you can’t stay, get it to go! The place was packed at 4pm on a Saturday.

Comfortable. Beer flights so find a friend and try them all. For food, they offer only a cheese /meat tray but have local delivery or carry out menus and encourage you to get food and settle in. Ten beers on tap. Growlers and a 32 oz version to go.
