Ally’s Pizza

My husband grew up in the area. This is by far his favorite pizza place in Utah. One time I told him I was wanting a ‘really good’ pizza and Ally’s is what came to his mind. Right away. We live in Utah County so going to Ally’s would mean driving at least 40mins to an hour. But of course I had to try it and we do love long drives so we decided to go to Ally’s and grab some pizza and their garlic knots. True enough, this place is the bomb dot com.
The place was established in 1990. It’s a very small joint for pick up orders. When you talk about place having lots of history and character well this place exemplify that, no doubt.
The staff is amazing, friendly and the owner is top notch. Will I ever see them branching out? I don’t think so. You can tell that the owner is serving pizza not for money but it is his way of life, it is what he does because it his passion and he loves doing.
Quality of pizza is W.O.W! I can tell you right now, it’s not the first that we drove 40 mins just to eat pizza. If I am going to eat and consume calories it has to be worth every bite. Ally’s is super worth it, the service is great and food is damn amazing!

I had heard of this place through others so when we were in the area we gave it a try, I was expecting to be blown away but sadly it is just an average pizza place. The sauce was just ok and there was plenty of cheese on it but I didn’t think either were outstanding. The crust was fairly thin which I like but I thought the flavor was not there on the crust either. I think part of this is I had huge expectations and left disappointed. I did like the amount of sauce on the pizza, sometimes places put too much on but they do it right here.
I was not blown away by the garlic rolls either. I thought they were ok, nothing to spectacular.

Service was great! I personally don’t like grease dripping off my pizza but once I got past that, it was fresh and great! Call ahead because they are busy with lots of orders so it will Rae hem some time to make it, but worth the wait!

Good not amazing. On par with other chain pizza restaurants. Ordered a couple of specially pizzas and not worth the premium. Probably worth $ 12 each at the most.

Best pizza I have had in Utah so far. I have lived in 4 states and traveled quite a bit. This is my favorite pizza. The sauce and toppings taste fresh. I have yet to be dissapointed.

Everything is great about Ally’s! The different variety of pizzas, pizza rolls, cheese rolls, sauces, salads and wings! The prices are comparable to chains however, their food is so much more WORTH IT! My husband and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Ally’s Pizza.

I was craving Ally’s awesome cheese rolls. Got the 12 roll order. They were as good as I remembered.
If you didn’t know what you wanted, it’s challenging to find a menu on line. They also look like they’re closed when you first drive up. But the rolls are worth the effort.

Great change from the big name pizza chains. Pizza is always amazing. The sauce is so fresh tasting and is a depart from the run of the mill sauces offered at the chain stores. Wasnt crazy about the garlic knots, they could use some more garlic flavor. However the pizza never fails to satisfy. This is our go to pizza place now that I found it.

Haven’t been there in a while. Still awesome! Great pizza, and of course the cheese rolls! A good value in today’s world.

Ally’s is delicious! I’ve been eating this glorious pizza since I was a kid, it easily beats any chain pizza restaurant in the area. The family special easily feeds our family of five, as long as we get an extra roll. Add cheese to those rolls, their cheese rolls are the best thing, ever!
I wish I could give 4.5 stars, only because sometimes you get a pizza or an order of rolls that really shouldn’t have been given to customers. I’d much rather get a call from them, saying that they messed up and have to remake something, than have a very overcooked meal.

Ordered med. extra pepperoni and sausage, it was ok, not really tell all my friends they have to try it.
They use the bulk package sausage that basically all the chain pizza places use, I don’t particularly care for, don’t want to really knock them but there pizza is basically average. Other people on Unilocal gave them fairly high marks, I guess I just wasn’t nearly as impressed as the others… It’s your traditional hand tossed pizza.

I love these guys pizza. You can’t beat the family special with an extra large 2 topping pizza, 4 garlic rolls, and 4 sodas for 15 bucks! And it’s DELICIOUS!

Just moved here to Utah, and tried Ally’s a week ago. The pizza and the cheese rolls were both equally scrumptious! I’m very sauce picky, so when I tasted their sauce on the bread… YUM! It tasted very fresh and not like canned pizza sauce. Even after I had no bread left I kept the sauce. The ONLY reason I am giving a four star instead of five is because I specifically asked the order taker to make sure we had parmigian cheese delivered as well and she assured me it would be and we didn’t get any. That will not deter me from ordering from there again.

I finally tried Ally’s Pizza, I have been driving past it for decades. Ally’s is in a small poorly labeled building on the corner of a residential block so it is easy to pass by. They have an extremely small parking lot and a drive thru. We snagged one of the few places around to park and went in to order. The building seems to consist of a small doorway that leads down a small hallway to a small counter where you order. Beyond the counter is a room with a huge hot oven in the middle and workers around the perimeter of the oven working on pizza orders. I believe it was nearly 100 degrees in there (and it was a cool day) I felt bad for those having to work in that heat.
Out of this small place came some tasty food. We ordered a large pizza, half pineapple and mushroom, half chicken and sausage. All the toppings were plentiful the mushrooms fresh, the chicken large chunks of white meat and the sausage very flavorful. The crust was just right, not too thin or thick with a good chew. All this was topped with a good amount of cheese. All and all a pretty good pizza at a reasonable price.
I had read the Unilocal reviews and it appeared obvious that I must try the cheese rolls, I am glad I did. I noted on the menu that 6 rolls cost $ 3.24 reasonable enough. What we got was a to go container stuffed with 6 huge doughy, garlicy, cheesy rolls of goodness. These were no skimpy rolls, they were huge and very tasty and extremely reasonably priced. I thank the reviewers who recommended them and I too recommend you rush over and get some NOW!
It will not be another 30+ years before I make my second appearance at Ally’s, if it weren’t for all the leftovers I would have returned again this same weekend.

Slow on delivery considering how close I live. Pizza was decent, nothing really to rave about.

Oh gosh, this pizza is SO good! We are from Oregon and traveling through Utah and staying at a hotel close by. You are crazy if you are in the area and don’t get this pizza regularly. We got a large pepperoni with fresh mushroom. Delish!!! You cannot eat inside, but you can order inside and take with you. They also have a drive-​thru. They also deliver. Get this pizza!

Our go-​to pizza place… they are the BEST! Garlic rolls are amazing… I always order a cup of sauce to go with them!

pass this place on my way to the gym. Saw the good Unilocal reviews and thought we’d try it out. they don’t have an online menu (kind of inconvenient) but were nice on the phone. They have a different take on a Hawaiian pizza but it was REALLY good. The cheese pizza bites and pepperoni pizza bites were really good too. Will probably make this my new pizza joint.
We used their drive through but they do have free delivery, even to our house several miles away.
They are priced really well but not as cheap as the 10 or 11 bucks for any size pizza deals you can get at pizza hut or the other franchises right now. think I paid 13 or 15 for extra large Hawaiian. pizza bites were 85 cents, cheese bites were 55 I believe.
Would recommend for sure.

One of the best places to grab some pizza. You know those small places you would never think to eat at, but when you do its the best thing in life? That’s Ally’s Pizza. Their pizza rolls are inexpensive and are EXTREMELY good! Been going for about 4 years now. Very good people! If only they were open Sunday. Thats the only thing Id have to say about them.
