The food is great! The service is pretty good, I’ve only been in a couple times. Today I ordered to go from here, using YoYo Delivery, and between El Burrito and YoYo Delivery my food arrived fast, fresh and delicious! My 9 yr old son is a super picky eater and actually ate ALL of his food from here! I definitely plan on returning/ordering take out again!

My family and I have been eating here for the last dozen years or so. We all have our favorites. We all love the chile verde — they have the best ever, and my husband and sons love the fajitas and the chicken wings. I always get either the Santa Fe chicken or the sweet pork grilled quesadilla. And we usually get their shredded beef taquitos for an appetizer. I also love their chicken tortilla soup for lunch because it’s super filling and has big hunks of tender chicken in it. It was always been a tradition for us to take our kids there for lunch for their birthdays since they went to school nearby. When my oldest sons left on their missions last year, they both requested that we eat here for their last family meal together. We’ve always had good service, their portions are generous, and it’s by far our favorite Mexican restaurant in the whole state. And now that they’ve remodeled, it has an even more comfortable atmosphere.

The worst Mexican food I’ve ever eaten. Even the kids said the same thing. Couldn’t even eat the food it was that bad. Just plain disgusting & the service was atrocious.

We have been regulars for over 10 years and we can always count on El burrito to be a warm cozy atmosphere with good food and great service. The chips and salsa are great and one of my favorite dishes is the Santa Fe chicken. It’s one of the few Mexican dishes that tastes delicious and is healthy for you. This is especially true if you get it with a whole wheat tortilla and their De La Hoya beans. Compared to everything else in Weber and Davis counties I definitely think this place is one of the best.

Some of the worst mexican food I have ever eaten. When we saw a couple ordering food with a pet pig in their arms, we chuckled. When the food tasted like pig food, we realized we were in the wrong restaurant. We ordered pretty basic items: a burrito, a combination plate, and one coca-cola. We had to ask twice for the soda. And we were given a burrito and a chimichanga. No worries, can’t go wrong with a chimichanga we thought. WRONG! It tasted like canned cat food.(Don’t worry, we’ve actually never tasted canned cat food, but once you’ve smelled it, you can’t forget it!) Disgusting. We took a couple of bites and ate the refried beans. Even the rice was gross.

So over the years I’ve always enjoyed the food here, but the last few times I’ve eaten here the food wasn’t so good. Bland soggy enchiladas, where did the heat go in the chili verde felt like it was made for childern. I’m just thinking something has changed, maybe cutting corners… I’m not sure but I no there are better places than this for good mexican.

Good food and a cheap buffet. I’m a regular here during the week and it is consistent and always good. Keep up the good work!

We have been there many times, but after this experience, never again! Looking at the menu, I asked the waitress if a half order of nachos was available, the full price was $ 8.99. She confirmed that there was, so I ordered it. It arrived as a half order. Happy. Got our bill and I was charged the full price. Brought it to the waitresses attention. She showed me a menu special on the table, that said half price nacho and a drink was $ 8.99. I didn’t get a drink, and the waitress didn’t ask what I wanted to drink with the special. When I talked to the manager, she said«sorry». Big deal, was her attitude. Whoever thinks that a half serving plus a pop, which I didn’t get, should cost as much as a full serving, should eat here.

We love Manuels! We hadn’t been in for a few months, and were surprised to see that they remodeled the restaurant. Looks great! We usually get the buffet, which is really good. Cheese, beef, and chicken enchiladas,(on corn tortillas)) potatoes and killer chile verde, hard and soft shell tacos, quesadillas, beans, rice, and a mini salad bar. What’s not to love? Javier was our server. It was a busy Friday night, but he stayed on top of things with very attentive service. We recommend this restaurant to all of our friends. It’s off the beaten path, and quite the local hidden gem!

I have to say service is the best. Our waitress was a sweetheart. There is 3 things that need some attention. First, the salsa served with the chips tastes good but I didn’t get the spicy flavor I’m used to. Second, the margaritas need going back to the drawing board. It was too sweet and sour, kind like midori sour lol, and the alcohol must have been a tiny little wincy cup. They should offer over the rocks in addition to it. The Mexican steak was top off with the, «special sauce,» which made me giggle because it had nothing special to it; it was the chip salsa. Lmao. The steak besides that salsa was very delicious and the rice and bean are exceptional. I also tried the menudo and it was awesome! Just rethink those little things and I’m sure I would be a frequent visitor.

We did take out here for the first time. We just moved to the area and thought we give this place s try on a friends recommendation. Service was excellent, even on a busy night. However, the food was just ok. We are use to a lot better Mexican food. If we were still in the Salt Lake area we would have gone to Cancun Café. Excellent service and homemade food.

The service and food has decline over the last few months. Takes a long time to get your food and the last time, it was cold by the time it got out. Used to be a weekly event, but we don’t have plans to go back any time soon at this point.

I’ve eaten here multiple times and never had a bad experience. I’ve tried the enchiladas, Carne Asada, chimichanga and tamale. I’ve enjoyed them all. They have a great taco bar that is made fresh to order. Service is quick and the patio dining in summer is fun. Don’t be turned off by the ghetto neighborhood. This place is a winner.

El Burrito features Lackluster food with little authentic Mexican flavor. It wasn’t busy and service was still marginal. My server didn’t come by to see how the food was and didn’t return until she brought the check. I had the chile rellenos which were overpriced and bland. I won’t be back.

I used to go here all the time with my parents. The only reason they nolonger go here is because they stopped serving Pepsi products. The staff is alwsys very friendly snd provide top-notch service.

I have been eating at El Burrito for over 30 years and things have seemed to go down hill over the last five or so, they have fallen way down my list of Mexican restaurants, we only visit on rare occasions anymore. I think part of the problem is the buffet, servers and cooks have got so use to folks eating the buffet they don’t know how to handle things when a table orders off the menu. This latest visit was the worst by far, 10 minutes to get noticed, 10+ more minutes to get the drinks and chips(half a bowl of chips at that) and yet another 20+ minutes for the food to arrive. Unfortunately the wait was not worth it. I was tempted to get the buffet but I really wasn’t that hungry so ordered a Meat, Bean and Cheese burrito enchilada style, flavor was very lacking. If that was not bad enough we got what had to be the worse server ever and the worse seat in the house making for a very bad experience.

I was here for lunch the other day, and the actual experience seems to be quite the opposite from the existing reviews. The restaurant entrance was strangely designed which took some times to figure out. After standing at the entrance for a long time, I was seated finally. The service was ok. Like most Mexican restaurant, they started with chips and salsa. There was only one type of salsa available, but it had a mild kick to it. I went with the Chili Rellenos burrito upon recommendation from the waitress, since she said that dish is very spicy for her. The food came out less than 5 minutes, which was way too quick, and I suspected the use of microwave or oven reheat premade food. The sight of the dish was not appetizing, as they were literally two pill of melted mush. The bean tasted a little old. Behind spicy(there were none), the burrito has absolutely no flavor to it, which tasted exactly what it looks like. El Burrito is probably one of the worse places to go to for Mexican food in this area. The salsa was probably the best thing I had from this meal.
