My car has 225,000 miles on it and Clearlake Automotive is the only shop to work on it! Thanks for keeping my car running!

On a road trip to Los Angeles, my car broke down on Hwy 20 East. The symptoms I could see were the car overheated and coolant was spilling out from underneath the car. I got towed to the above repair shop(Clearlake Automotive), that the tow truck driver recommended; saying that this mechanic was a really«honest mechanic». Being from out of town and in a small town that I didn’t know my way around, I had to take the tow truck driver’s word(along with the 5 minute diagnosis of the«honest mechanic»). Ray(owner/mechanic of Clearlake Automotive), tried to diagnose the problem of the coolant pouring out & wrote up a repair order with the following parts needed: a new water pump, timing belt, P/S(power steering?) belt, A/C belt, coolant, and balance shaft belt. When the repairs were completed the next day, I was only able to get to Sacramento before the car broke down with the same exact problems: over-heating and coolant pouring out of my car! This whole ordeal cost me $ 567.76. The second repair shop I towed it to in Sacramento was able to diagnose the PROPER repair of only a heater hose(costing me $ 246.90). I see this clearly an example of a mechanic taking advantage of an out-of-towner!
