Tacote

This place has amazing food, no doubt. Amazing homemade hot sauce. HERE IS THE PROBLEM … it takes a minimum of half an hour to get food, even in the drive thru. Even if there isn’t much business. DONT ATTEMPT TO EAT HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE 45 MINUTES TO WAIT FOR A BURRITO!!!

Read the reviews on Unilocal so we decided to check this place out (Just happened to be driving by). I had the chalupa’s, delicious; my daughter had the migas and throughly enjoyed them and my husband had the barbacoa and it was fabulous.

It was a lovely little place. Limited hours, but breakfast all hours. Nothing super fancy but everything was real and it was tasty.

My husband, who works in Cleburne visits this restaurant often. So he decided to bring me so that I can try them. I had not one, but two of the Chorizo burritos with that AMAZING tasting green sauce. The burritos were excellent, the service was superb, and the appearance of the restaurant was very clean. I will indeed add this restaurant to my list of places that I will visit frequently.

This is my new favorite restaurant in Cleburne – which, I’ll admit, is a bad sign. Generally my favorite restaurants close… Is it me, or is it the neighborhood who would prefer to go to a boring chain restaurant?
Anyway, they make the best breakfast burritos in town. Breakfast burritos are awesome, but so many folks just don’t know how to make them good. Tacote does. I’ve recently branched out into their non-​breakfast foods. Their Tacote (a large taco) is delicious with excellent meat. I tried the chalupas (which are nothing like Taco Bell chalupas and they too were scrumptious.
Unfortunately, they have limited hours. They’re closed for dinner and on Sundays. They do seem to be doing good business, so hopefully boring folks who love chain food won’t put them out of business. And hopefully they’ll open for longer hours.
