Just stopped in for lunch between Cary and The Mountains, and we were very stoked to find this great place, in and amongst the fast food restaurants! This is a good ol’ bbq joint that serves it up quickly and with love. Thanks for the respite!

Love this place! Used to come all the time when I lived in WS, now visiting, I couldn’t wait to come back. Love the BBQ chicken. Tastes great and the portions are large. Tots and hush puppies are excellent too. Next time life brings me to WS I’ll be back!

Chili is great, Brunswick stew is great, Chopped Pork BBQ platter is heaven, Red slaw is great, Hushpuppies are great, Service is friendly and FAST(like they’re just waiting for you to order something), Drink refills are there before you ask, Desserts are probably great but I am always too stuffed by then to order dessert!

This place is great! On a road trip with some friends and stopped for lunch. One of the best pulled pork sandwich I’ve ever had. Great local feel too. And only $ 4

I have been eating at Little Richards since I was a kid. The Clemmons location has a bigger menu than the original. The smoked chicken drum sticks are a favorite. I have come to believe the smell outside a barbecue joint will tell you how good it will taste. Little Richards in Clemmons never has that amazing hickory smoke smell. Nor does the barbecue have that flavor. Unlike the original on country club. The ribs, chicken, and sides are great. Just wish the Q have a more smoky flavor.

I had the BBQ plate with pintos and potato salad. It was very good. Our waitress was perfect. She had worked two double shifts but never stopped checking on us, even after we say there for some time. The smell made you hungry, even if you weren’t! A place I would recommend if you like BBQ!

This is an easy five star review for one reason — the food. The pulled pork is as tender and juicy as I had ever had. They provide 3 choices of sauce, to include a mustard based. I had the vinegar based red sauce. It was thick and tangy. I suppose I could take them down to 4 stars on the service; it was average at best. But, we got a quick seat and were served quickly, so good to go. Very good!!!

First –GOFORTHEFOOD. Everything I have ever had here is great. In most cases there is one or two things great and the rest is done just half way, but this place it is ALL great. Now, why the three stars? Service. At lunch time NOISSUES. Lunch time is super. Helpful, quick and friendly. So with that said… Dinner time or anytime the«kids» are working. Rude, lazy, unwelcoming. Just get passed that and get to the food. It is worth the snot nosed kids to get to.

Wonderful ribs. Hush puppies were the best I’ve had so far. First time trying turnip greens and loved them. Would totally recommend to others looking for good bbq. Prices are not too bad for all the food you get.

Simple, to the point, Carolina BBQ. I like the picnic feel of this place with the wooden bench booths with red and white checker plastic table cloths. I ordered the regular chopped pork sandwich and was delighted with the soft bread and perfect combination of sweetness and vinegar in the sauce. The atmosphere in here was relaxed and happy which is exactly how I felt during my lunch.

Good Lexington BBQ, but the fried okra, hush puppies, and hickory wings were the real winners. Add in great service(thanks Brittknee), Cheerswine, and a Classic BBQ vibe, and you’ve got a real winner. I’m just bummed that I didn’t have room for banana pudding and stew… Oh well, next time.

The Texas briskets here are AMAZING. Mac n cheese is also delicious, and so is the Hush-puppies…they give you alot of hush-puppies. Service is a really excellent and they kept this place really clean. The best in Clemmons, NC.

Delicious Lexington-style BBQ. A chopped sandwich with BBQ slaw can’t be beat. Their hush puppies aren’t the best I’ve ever had, but they fit the bill. Service is always good here. Our waitress tonight, Ciara, was wonderful-nice and attentive. A great spot!

Great BBQ! best around for sure! staff and management are good but the food is amazing. dont pass up this place if your hungry for some good bbq! the one off country club and one in walburg arent the same! went there and ordered grilled chicken and got a tiny chicken breast. ordered same at clemmons location and got a giant piece of actual chicken instead of some frozen breast. check this place out!

This is the best barbecue in the area, and the only place we go for barbecue. I love the homemade chips and coarse chopped barbecue. The greens and fried okra are usually spot-on as well. Ask for the Lexington style sauce and skip the thick sweet sauces for the real Lexington-style taste. Oh and be prepared to wait for a table if you arrive at peak hours, as this restaurant is fairly small and stays busy during lunch and dinner hours. The wait staff has always been fabulous, even when we descended upon them with a party of 7 adults and 4 children with no notice. It’s nice to have a local place that you know is always going to be good.

I’ve always enjoyed this place for their bbq but I was intrigued when their marqee said NOWSERVINGBRISKET. I’d never had brisket before a couple yrs ago when I had it in Austin, TX. Granted thats a tough row to hoe but they DID put it on the marqee. I will give them the benefit of the doubt that we got there 30 mins before closing but dry dry dry. The sandwich was huge but size doesnt make up for no flavor. Even a dousing of their sauce didn’t save this meal. My friend’s bbq sandwich was perfect as usual. So LR stick with what you do well and leave the brisket to TX.

We ate lunch here on 6⁄18 on our way to the Beach Music Festival in nearby Lewisville, NC. I picked Little Richard’s after doing a Unilocal search and I’m very glad I did. FYI — I’ve learned they also have locations in Yadkinville and Mt. Airy. As we drove up, we saw the neat, well kept building shaped and painted just like the iconic red and white barn. There were quite a few cars but parking was no problem. Inside is a fairly open, square floor plan with somewhere around 25 or 30 tables. There’s a counter at the front to pay your tab and order to go or bulk bbq items but its a seat yourself place.(We weren’t sure of this at first as the sign is hard to notice). The décor is one of those random looks of license plates and other items Americana. It’s clean and organized and isn’t over the top in terms of showiness. Service: After we sat ourselves, it took a few minutes for a server to come by and we were beginning to think we must have broke the seating rules but a friendly server did bring us our menus and took our drink orders. I think they were just a little busy at that moment and it took a minute to catch up to us. The rest of the service was great and Victoria, our primary server, was very friendly and prompt the rest of the meal. Food: This was so worth the drive from Greensboro. The menu includes the staples such as chopped and sliced pork on the bun, plate and tray, 1⁄3 lb burgers, chicken, ribs, chili and Brunswick stew. It also has some uniqueness as well including beef brisket(buns, plates and trays), «toasted» hot dogs, corn dogs, salads and even a choice of chicken wraps. My girlfriend, being a rib addict, jumped right for the half rack plate which comes with hush puppies plus two sides — she picked homemade chips and the mac-n-cheese($ 11.49). I went with the bbq beef sandwich w/caramelized onions, hickory sauce and bbq slaw($ 4.79) and the toasted hot dog($ 1.79) just because I had never heard of that before(you can get a 12 incher for $ 2.79). Wow, all were very good! My brisket sammy was so tasty with the smoked beef flavor nicely front and center and only complimented by the grilled onions and slaw. The toasted hot dog(which I got with mustard, onions, chili but w/o the slaw) comes to you after being in the broiler and having the bun toasted while the goodies are on it. I’d call it interesting but it adds little to the effect(and comments from dorks like me). The flavor of the chili was good but the mustard on this one drowned out the meat flavor so the brisket was my favorite of the two. The ribs were great! They were not fall-off-the-bone ribs, which I know a lot of people say is a must, but I actually prefer a little firmness and they pulled cleanly off the bone regardless. The combination of robust smoke and sweetness was excellent. I’m very impressed with these ribs and will definitely come back for more! As for the sides, the hush puppies are the easy winner. Though a little small, they are firm and chewy with a great onion taste and the serving size is more than adequate. There are probably at least 15 choices of sides so all appetites should be accounted for. Value: I think the prices are very reasonable. I’ve had less expensive bbq in the area but I haven’t liked them as much as this place. Overall, if this place was in Greensboro, we’d be here a lot. As it is, now that we found it we’ll definitely hit it on our way to places in western NC. Food: 8/10, Service: 8/10, Value: 7⁄10; Atmosphere 7⁄10

They serve pretty good Lexington style BBQ here, not quite as good its former associate located on Country Club Road in Winston, but close. The pork here is smoky, tender, moist, and comes in a medium chop. Because of the way it is cooked, the chopped meat will have some pink color in it, as well as the usually white & brown. It comes out of the kitchen lightly sauced, and rather mild — they do have more sauce on the table, and it is good. Sliced pork is available, but I find it a little dry. The slaw is the typical red BBQ slaw with a nice twang to it — makes a great sandwich. They also serve a white cole slaw. The BBQ Chicken is good, the ribs are not ones I care for, though they are tender. This place does offer some country cooking items — the country style steak is excellent, as is the fried okra, and M & C. I would pass on the hot dog. Prices are reasonable, and the service has always been good.
