Excellent food! I have visited a few times now, both at lunch and dinner, and sushi has been consistently very tasty. Reasonably priced, service was great, I will definitely return and recommend to others!

Hard to review. You have to lose some authenticity points despite the karati gi outfits when you’re playing country music and your waitstaff is all country white girls. Service was good, but I didn’t love the shouting back and forth between the kitchen and the floor, nor the housekeeping duties going on in the middle of the dining room during the end of the lunch rush(1:30-ish) that seemed to distract from diner care. Food was also pretty good. However, there’s a much better value in going with the«fast entrée.» The(generous) portion is the same, you just don’t have to overpay for the middling soup and salad. More of a good lunch spot than a dinner destination, but not somewhere I wouldn’t revisit.

Wonderful sushi for a good price! I’ve been to Shiki several times and have only been disappointed by their food once, which is saying a lot because I’m picky. The soup could use more flavor but that’s the only thing I’ve tried that I didn’t like. I’ll be going back whenever I need a sushi fix!

Terrible service. We waited for 50 minutes from the time we arrived until our food got to our table. There were very few people in the restaurant so I wasn’t a matter of being unusually busy. There seemed to be no concern on the part of the staff about how poor the service was even after we asked why it was taking so long on several occasions and expressed our concern. When the food finally did arrive the orders were incorrect. The quality of the food was okay, not great, but the service was some of the worst I have experienced in a long time.

Was all set to order delivery, but when I called they let me know they don’t deliver. I got the feeling they get asked this a lot. It is listed on their Unilocal that they deliver and when I le them know it said it on their Unilocal they were very defensive and said they do not have a Unilocal or a website and someone else must’ve started it. They don’t want Unilocal.Okay. I really wanted sushi And this was the closest spot and I’ve never tried it. So we gave it a go. I was very disappointed with the presentation of the sushi. It arrived in front of me falling apart and looked like it was just smashed together. I really don’t care what my sushi looks like as long as it tastes like sushi. So this wouldn’t have mattered had it tasted good. It wasn’t tasty at all, tasteless. The spicy tuna roll had no spice or flavor to to it. I’m not sure if this is clemmons only option for sushi, but clemmons, I’m sorry for ya.

Ate here for the first time tonight. I ordered 1 sushi roll and 1 order of maguro nigiri. First, service was excellent. Fast, very polite and attentive. Prices for sushi rolls were on the high side for the size of the specialty rolls. Though my Shiki Special roll was 8 pieces and was displayed attractively, the roll was smaller than most specialty rolls I have seen and it was just barely more flavorful than the ones from the grocery store. The maguro, on the other hand, was a good deal. 2 pieces for $ 3.75 with the nigiri portions very generous. It was absolutely fresh, tender, and delicious. By far the best part of my meal. I didn’t care for the atmosphere. Though it was clean, it certainly felt more like a Chinese Buffet restaurant with the warehouse lights in the ceiling and a room with tables in it. I likely would try a different place before I return to this one again.

Surprisingly delightful! My wife convinced me to try it today; she had previously eaten there and really enjoyed it. I can say with enthusiasm that the kitchen takes great pride in carefully preparing the mixtures of seasoning for their food. Everything was very well-balanced and quite tasty. We started with fried pork dumplings which were perfectly fried. I found the dipping sauce slightly too vinegary for my tastes, but very light. I had the Playboy roll which was very fresh tasting and artfully presented. My wife had noodles with shrimp skewers. The noodles were near-perfect, the vegetables just at the right point of doneness and the number of shrimp was amazing for the price; and of course, the flavor balance was exquisite. Okay, I am being very positive. Was it the best sushi I have ever had? No, but it was still extremely good. What pushed this rating to five stars for me was the service. The wait staff were extremely accommodating and friendly, even spending extra time amusing our son(plus it was not terribly busy). I do not think they could have done a better job and were so nice and gracious. With obvious pride in their food and service, I have to strongly recommend this restaurant. Final note: It may suffer slightly from location. It is just off Lewisville-Clemmons road, behind the Rite-Aid, not too far from the Food Lion. Though you might not see it from the main road, it is worth seeking out.

We are always looking for the best sushi in the area. Since we had a coupon, we tried Shiki 9. I was skeptical when I saw the décor. Although new and nice, it is large and open and cold feeling. I did not care for the ginger dressing and the salad served in a little cafeteria like bowl. But I was very surprised when the sushi rolls were fantastic! Very creative and fresh. I highly recommend the TNT roll and I really enjoyed the Holiday roll as well. Also the waitstaff are extremely friendly and the service was prompt. We will definitely go back. I may do carry out next time:)

I’ve gotten takeout here a number of times, but we’ve never eaten in the restaurant. The staff is friendly and the food is always good for the price. They normally give you so much food, I can’t eat it all. I’ll definitely be back.

On another weekend in to visit the folks, I went with them to have Sunday lunch at Shiki. Just off I-40 in the Clemmons area before getting to Lewisville, it is back off the road a bit on River Center Drive so might be a bit of a hunt to find at first. It is a nice place with ample room, a family style looking restaurant with large main dining area. Even on a Sunday it was easy to get a table although they were almost full, there was no wait. The server quickly came to get our drink and appetizer orders, and he continued with good service the rest of the time. The salad, soup, and app came out first. I had opted for a salad with the ginger dressing. I wasn’t a fan of this version of the dressing, it looked a bit like salsa to me, not what I am used to. The salad itself was fresh and cold(I like a very cold fresh salad). The onion style soup was not very strong or flavorful. I’d like more of the flavor(read: flavor does not mean add pepper if you don’t like it) to come through, but it was ok. The pork dumpling appetizer was good, but wish they had a menu selection for steamed pork dumplings instead of pan seared(note to self: next time… ask!). I chose the Hibachi Steak and Chicken combo as my entrée. It was ok. The flavor didn’t stand out again like I had hoped, except for the pepper(just not a fan of pepper here). Good portions of meat and rice both, but I did opt for no veggies. Bottom line: Not a bad family style feel restaurant. It’s not a fancy place, and that’s ok, sometimes you just want a good ol’ place to go and get some eats. Food is ok, and I’d probably come back for lunch with the ‘rents if they want to again. I say they get the A-OK 3 stars.

Very good hibachi meals with generous portions plus soup and salad with meal. My husband loves the sushi. Nice to have. In the«neighborhood»

New Japanese restaurant now opening serving both sushi and hibachi traditional fare. Even though they may have gotten off to a rocky start, they quickly smoothed out the rough edges. Been here twice now with my wife and both had the sushi. As a west coast sushi snob, I must say it is pretty good! I will say I thought the ginger dressing on the salad was a bit too sweet, but my wife, he is not a fan of sweet dressings, didn’t think so. Then again, I have a bad head cold and have been slurping wasabi just to open up my head, so I’ll defer to my wife’s uninfected pallet. Service was wonderful and take-out a breeze.
