I love Papa’s Diner! Breakfast is great, BLTs and club sandwiches are piled high! The staff is friendly and efficient but there are times that there is a bit of a wait as this a favorite among locals. The owner, Kay Simpson does the cooking! More than that, Kay and her staff are very committed to the community and. that means so much to so many of us here in Clermont.

Best breakfast place in Clermont. Papas diner has been around for years and it’s because of the amazing food and the fantastic staff! I recommend this place to anybody that wants diner style breakfast! And you can’t beat the prices either! And starting this past month they do accept credit cards now!!!

A diner for the locals, generous portions , Homey atmosphere. My friend brought me here for breakfast. Friendly waitresses. It is cash only and honestly I probably wouldn’t go back cuz of that-I never have much cash. Food is fine-not memorable, but satisfying.

For some reason I always experience difficulty ordering eggs the way I like them. I have ordered them«over medium-well» for quite some time in an attempt to achieve that gooey, yet not runny consistency. This establishment fell into my category of «the breakers» who use the egg cooking yolk motto«when in doubt pop it out» and destroy the precious cargo. This spot is a nice little«greasy spoon». It is decorated with cheap paintings of classic cars, Gator’s memorabilia and those awful paintings of Marilyn Monroe, Elvis and James dean at a bar somewhere. It’s semi-reasonably priced and the food is average. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here, but in a pinch it’s nice to have for one of those hungover weekend breakfasts. Perhaps I will give them another chance on the eggs in the future, but for now I’ll just make my perfect ova-dellectables at home.
