This was definitely our favorite place to order pizza from when we moved to Clermont. The pizza and wings are really really good. The delivery time was a bit long but it was definitely worth it. I’m not sure what happened in the last couple of months but now every time I call, they seem to be closed, even during the times that they are supposed to be open. For instance, I called on a Wednesday at 7pm and I get a voicemail giving the business hours and stating that the voicemail is full. I don’t understand. They also changed their operating hours and close at 9pm. What pizza place closes at 9pm and closes 2 days a week and doesn’t answer the phone to take orders? They have completely lost my business! Had it not been because I like the way the pizza taste, they would get 1 star.

This review is long overdue. I have never had a bad meal here! Very nice people now own this pizza/Italian food bistro. They are friendly, happy to be there and genuinely nice to their many customers. The restaurant is busy, but that is a good thing. The food is fresh, hot and tasty! The pizza is as close to real NY pizza as you will get in Florida. In other words it’s great! And their Giant Pizza really is «GIANT». It is always a pleasant surprise to get what you pay for and you will be satisfied at this establishment. As the former General Manager of Clermont Nissan I can attest to their consistency in providing great food at a great price. I used to order 12 to 15 Giant Pizzas every Saturday for my staff and lucky customers. It was always good! So, do yourself a favor and visit them. Get a great meal… and a smile too! Ernie Galarza

I’ve tried pizza from every place in Clermont since I moved here 7 months ago, and I keep finding my way back to Pepe’s. They have the best pizza and wings around and their prices are great too.

The Food was fresh. Service was ok. Very greasy Stromboli, the grease was dripping down my hands. Overall it was ok.

Excellent pizza and service. It doesn’t get better than this, unless you go to NY. Fresh salads, great pizza!!!

A «NY» pizzeria with Boston Red Sox memorabilia… something isn’t right here The pizza was eeehhhh although the staff was straight out of Brooklyn I got it by the slice so maybe it’s better if you order a whole fresh pie but I probably won’t be back to find out. This is apparently #2 so there is a Pepe’s #1 out there somewhere which is a surprise. I guess they’re doing something right, I just don’t know what.

We ordered pizza from the road and it was not ready when we arrived. I had two hungry kids in the car, and the order was not ready. We finally carried out 1HOUR — yes, 1 hour after placing the call. What a nightmare! I visit her often and my folks live here. I will never order from them again… oh and the pizza is not all that. Don’t order the breadsticks– they are so thick and too doughy. DISAPPOINTED at my first experience. They didn’t offer us beverages or anything while we waited.

Meh — wont be back. Tried two slice special and can of soda. Pizza was more like flatbread. Very over cooked and dry. Couldn’t fold like normal New York pizza. Had three orders total and they were all the same. Not a fan of canned soda at restaurants either.

Great pizza, such wonderful staff that usually they know the second we call, economically priced — their pizza specials, lunch specials and pizza rolls are fantastic, filling and cheap!

Pepe’s is pretty solid. The pizza is made well, though not as good as other NY style places in the city. I think it’s the best pizza in Clermont that I have had so far. I’ve been three times. Twice I dined in. The two times I dined in were unpleasant. I tried an order of garlic knots which were served burnt and drowned in melted butter and oil, rather unappetizing. I had an order of buffalo wings, which were meaty, had great flavor, and were cooked correctly. Quite good wings. The wife and I both had a slice of pizza to go with our apps. Not the restaurant’s fault(or maybe it is…) but both times there were extraordinarily loud people dining there. I’m talking«I have to wait to finish my sentence becuase my wife sitting 2 feet away from me can’t hear me» loud. Both times, the loud diners were interacting pretty regularly with the staff, which leads me to believe they knew someone that worked there and nobody cared how loud they were being. The first time I went, the instances where the diners shut up long enough to breathe or eat were filled with what I took to be the ower or manager yammering away on the phone. She was on the phone literally the ENTIRETIME I was in the restaurant. She was not taking orders, she was having a conversation with someone. She was not particularly shy or quiet about the fact that she was not on a work-related call, wandering around the food prep area with the phone glued to the side of her head yammering about stuff other than pizza. The second time was a little better but same issue with super loud diners that acted like they knew the staff. The place is small, maybe 8 tables, so there wasn’t anywhere to go to get away from them and enjoy a dinner with my wife; we just had to deal with loud people and their loud ass kids running around barefoot and chewing pizza with their mouths open. Horrible little creatures. Finally, dining in sucks because they don’t have fountain drinks. They have a cooler in the corner with cans of coke and bottles of water. This means no free refils. This sucks when eating salty or spicy food like pizza and wings. When I see this in a restaurant, it makes me think the owners are cheapskates and makes me wonder where else they are cutting corners to save money… My third experience was amazing. Want to know why? Because I called them on a Tuesday and got their special(Monday & Tuesday, large cheese for 5.99– great deal, and only about a buck to add a topping), preordered a couple of cheese pizzas, and got them to go. I dined at home, in peace and quiet, with my wife, and it was great. So, let’s sum it all up: Call them up, order your pizza, pick it up or have it delivered to your house, but for the love of all things holy, do not dine in unless you are some loudmouthed asshole. Which you probably are, if you are from New York, so slide your yankee ass into the booth and have a little slice of home.
