Ordered the oyster appetizer. Smallest oysters I’ve ever seen. Almost broke my tooth on a piece of oyster shell buried in the oyster meat. This is a dangerous meal eat with caution. Back to the small oysters, you would need a magnifying glass to spot them. Next came the salad, not a pleasant surprise. Small, very small. Did I order a kids meal?

We stopped at Red Lobster for dinner. The restaurant was not packed. Sometimes that’s a good thing and other times it’s not. In saying that we’ve had issues before enjoying a nice dinner at a different Red Lobster when the timing was way off because the food came on top of each other. And, it happened just that way again. For the dollar amount, it’s surprising that the servers aren’t better trained not to allow that to happen. We were seated immediately but by the time we finally saw our server to give our drink order, we had sat there long enough that we had plenty of time to decide what we were going to order. Our salads arrived fairly quickly. Half way through our salads, our dinner was served. I really dislike that. Needless to say, neither one of us finished our salads. Our food was wonderful. The fish’n chips is about the best anywhere and it’s huge to boot. The coconut shrimp and scampi was amazing. The four stars is for the food because it really was delicious.

Good place for seafood even though it’s a chain. Nice staff enjoy having seafood here since the options of seafood are limited in this area. Will go back.

Disappointed. Went for lunch on a Sunday. Had to wait 20 minutes for a table even though there were open tables everywhere. The food has gotten worse since ownership change from Darden. Use to be one of my favorites but not anymore. Quality is down.

My boyfriend and I went to celebrate my belated birthday dinner. Justin, our server, exceeded both of our expectations. Since we both work in a restaurant, our standards are very high when we go out. Justin was prompt, courteous, and friendly. Everything came out perfect and the timing was crazy awesome. We will definitely be back and will be asking for Justin to be our server!

Salt. Salt. Salty. That how I describe the cheddar garlic biscuits place at our table. For most part we all ordered the four course special. It took forever and a day for the salad and soup to come. Lets talk! The salad was tossed way before we got there like two hours ago. The soup was a damn disaster to New England clam chowder. Soup in a can is way better. It taste like milk with potatoes no clams. Ok, now on to hand breaded shrimp. At best cafeteria low end ghetto. Hand breaded in china. I guess you get what you pay for. 15.99 my foot. This meal was worth .99. Service was ok. I think our server conveniently forgot to tell us about the special four course deal to increase check value. Epic fail red lobster. Please cut back on the salt, it won’t drive up liquor sales. Those biscuits I had years ago is now just a memory. Flakey buttery cheesy goodness but last night was a salt lick.

We walked in and there was some kind of hub bub going on at the front counter. An elderly lady was agitated about something. An elderly gentleman seated on a bench was making passive/aggressive comments to the reservation desk. Obviously we walked into the middle of something, but we got seated quickly. This is a nice location with updated décor. It’s a little difficult to get into the shopping center where it is located, but you can find a way. the service was very friendly and fast. I would say, on the high end of this chain.

So last night I headed to the Red Lobster in Clermont for a blogger dinner. When we sat down, we were able to order whatever drink we wanted. I decided to try the Berry Mango Daiquiri. It was so pretty when it came out and tasted delicious! Kory had a beer(I think it was the seasonal Sam Adams) And I dug into the biscuits right away. Some Seaside Starters(appetizers) came out– the Southwest Chicken Pizza, Spicy Buffalo Chicken Bites, Lobster-Crab-and-Seafood-Stuffed Mushrooms, Parrot Isle Jumbo Coconut Shrimp, and Sweet Chili Shrimp. I helped myself to all of them except the buffalo bites. Kory kept trying to get me to try a little of them but I’m a wimp. I did steal a piece of the blue cheese though. My favorite is still the mushrooms. So yummy! When we were full, the wonderful wait staff(Drew and Kim) boxed up the appetizers and put them in the beginning of our to-go bags! And we got to learn some interesting things about Red Lobster that I didn’t know. *The restaurant we were in was the prototype and the restaurant is modeled after Bar Harbor, Maine. *The East Colonial Drive and Sanford restaurants are trying out a new service called Seaside Express Lunch. You order and pay when you arrive, grab a number and a seat and lunch is served very quickly and should be under $ 10. These are the only 2 locations in the country to be trying this. *They started a new menu last Fall with«Maine stays». These are food options that will stay on the menu and not vary. *There is a Happy Hour from 3−6pm with drink specials and $ 5 appetizers. *There are also special menus available – a Lighthouse menu with lighter options and an allergy menu. For dinner, I had a half dozen steamed oysters and snow crab legs. I chose a Caesar salad to start. The oysters were yummy. Sometimes they can be too chewy or sandy and gritty, but these were just right. And the crab legs – delish! I sure made quite a mess but it was worth it! Kory had the Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp and for dessert we split the Warm Chocolate Chip Lava Cookie. Kory really enjoyed the peach-bourbon BBQ glaze on the shrimp. And the cookie – it was heavenly! A warm chocolate chip cookie with melty chocolate in the middle topped with ice cream? It can’t get better than that! It was a great night with delicious food and some great new friends!

The fried seafood seems to be a little greasy to us, but the broiled platters are acceptable. We just can’t seem to get past the food splatter on the walls in the booths. Seems that all that lobster and crab cracking just spreads to places that are not adequately cleaned. The staff is a little slow at times. We kept going back wanting it to get better but it just doesn’t. No more chances here.

Oh, my gosh. After having had a lackluster experience at the north Lakeland Red Lobster last week, we decided to try this one again when we were in the south Clermont area. When we first arrived there was no one around to greet us. The music was so loud I don’t think anyone heard us come in. After awhile a manager showed up and then tried to find us a clean table. We could tell he was embarrassed by this. It was mid afternoon and there were few other customers in the restaurant. Eventually, a waitress showed up. She was friendly but seemed somewhat inexperienced. Even so, after we placed our orders she delivered our salads fairly quickly. Salads were very bland and icy cold. The romaine lettuce was almost colorless, not quite what we had looked forward to eating. The one star rating, which I rarely feel compelled to give, was due to my entrée, however, not the salad. The fish I ate tasted very odd, not like any halibut I’d ever had before, and I wasn’t even out of the restaurant before I started feeling ill. I spent a long and miserable time in the restroom of the store we went to afterward. Here it is, three days later, and I haven’t felt right since eating that meal.

My husband and I have always enjoyed our meals at Red Lobster and decided to go here for our Anniversary after a movie. He kids me as I always get the fried shrimp– I love the Walt’s fried shrimp and the tarter sauce. This is the last time I will eat shrimp here. They were thin, heavily breaded and over cooked. Tasted like frozen breaded shrimp from the freezer section of the grocery store– only if I fixed it at home I wouldn’t over cook it! Even my mashed potatoes were hard and dry around the edges. I heard a manager apologizing to another table for the delay because of a big party. Maybe our food set under the heat lamps and dried out. Really disappointed as we expected better. The salad is now served in a bowl like sister restaurant Olive Garden and was fresh and delicious. The lunch shrimp seem to be of better quality and what I will chose when I crave shrimp again.

The service was pretty good but my lobster tale was undersized and overcooked along with my burnt rubber flavored shrimp and crab legs. Maybe with a few new cooks this place can earn a few more stars.

My experience at this Red Lobster was good. The food was consistent with Red Lobster anywhere, we were not disappointed. The server was excellent, especially well trained and customer focused. He was very professional and friendly and prompt on everything. I have had a really good first visit to Red lobster in Clermont and will be back thanks to the food and service.

My wife and I had sorta given up on RL as the fried food leftovers of the 80s. On a lark, we stopped in to this location, and we were floored. Great staff, kind waitress, kid friendly, tasty food, solid bartending… We gorged ourselves on lobster pizza, pasta, clam chowder, oysters, kidfood and pina coladas and walked out the door for less than 50 bucks. Comfy booth, clean bathroom, all around a nice surprise. It’s one of the few chain restaurants that is starting to get the message — evolve or die. I hear lots of folks complain about the secret biscuits at some RLs. On our visit, the biscuits were on the table with a quickness, and doubled and trebled in our to-go satchel.
