Tom and Kevin are great guys and always honest. This is the only place I trust with my car. My entire family goes there. I get in and get out and they are professional. It’s too bad other auto services aren’t like them. I always recommend them and won’t ever go anywhere else.

This place is a gem. These guys are honest and fair. Prices are reasonable. Work is always done when they promise; usually earlier. Haven’t had a bad experience, from oil changes to major service.
I think they specialize in Toyotas and Hondas, so I’d recommend calling ahead and seeing if they can work on your car.

I was referred to Alternative Solution Car Care by a friend who has been using these guys for years. New to the area, I took my car to them for some needed repairs, and after my experience with them, I will absolutely use them again and I will refer others to them. Their work was excellent, they were extremely fair in what they charged me, they respectfully answered some car questions I had and they were friendly and honest. The friend who referred me had lived in the Cleveland for decades has had nothing but positive experiences with these guys. I’m so grateful to have found an honest and competent mechanic!

I am revising my review because although the service is good, the skill of their mechanics is quite low. Several times I have come here with car problems and had them fix it for a low price, only to have a related issue several months later. I’m not implying that they caused the later issue, but I am saying that a skilled mechanic would have been able to predict it and fix it in advance. This has left me stranded and waiting for a row several times. For oil changes Alternative Solution is OK, but for complex tasks, take your car to Lusty Wrench.

Fixed the problem, price was reasonable, would recommend.

New in town, I was not sure who I could trust to take care of my car without ripping me off. Luckily I was refereed to Alternative Solution Car Care by a colleague. I couldn’t be happier with the service they provided. I suggest you make an appointment just for your own sake, cause it is pretty busy.
The staff was extremely kind and helpful. He answered all my questions in a clear manner. I got an oil change which cost 25.82 total and it was done pretty quick. I brought a lunch there, ate it and only waited probably another 10 minutes after finishing. SpeedY!

I found out about this place from a friend and within one month I have had the (dubious) pleasure of bringing both a Toyota and Honda here.
The Toyota needed some wheel work. They offered me prices of both new and used parts. Told me what would be a rip-​off and wouldnt need to be fixed. Their honestly was something that was an excellent surprise.
The Honda needed a door part. They found a few other issues I knew of and told me not to worry about them at all.
Both repairs were cheap, fast (less than 24 hours), and painless.
I have heard to be wary of mechanics in the Heights area, but this is one shop I can wholeheartedly recommend.

I’ve been to Alternative Solution for car care ever since I got my Honda Civic in 2004. I will remain loyal to these guys as long as I’m able to get my car serviced by them — they’re unfailingly honest, knowledgable, and sensitive to my needs.
They specialize specifically in Hondas and Toyotas.
A few examples of why I go to Alternative Auto:
* They always done when they say they’re going to be done. They always follow through with phone calls, and they always explain everything in terms I can understand.
* They keep a good record of the services my car’s been through, and they always check it before doing any work.
* Affordable. An oil change here is a little less than $ 25 — I think that’s competetive with other places, and they’ve never done it wrong.
* They’re honest, and smart about cars. Last October, they assessed my car, and knowing that I don’t use my car a whole lot, suggested I get a minor service (instead of the major service according to the suggested schedule), saving me about $ 100.
Don’t know what else to say. I highly recommend this little shop.
