These guys are first class and trustworthy. We moved here from MN where we had our trusted mechanics… it is always a crap shoot when you first try to find a trustworthy mechanic. Will they say that «I must fix this or that for my safety» Even when I only want something else fixed?
The men at Masterworks are not like that. They will let you know what they find, but if your goal is to maximize savings they will fix what you ask them to and nothing more.
I am a Christian, and used to seeing people of my faith post images of the faith or bible verses prominently in their place of business, and I am ashamed to say that as often as not I have been disappointed by my fellow Christian’s business ethics. It was happy to see that when our Jewish brethren display they faith at Masterworks it is not simply to market for more business traffic, but also a statement of their integrity.

My poor little Grand Am was dying. Or, rather, it was leaking brake fluid and gasoline, but I told myself that maybe it was fiiiiine. Still, I recognized that driving a car around that smells like gasoline is unwise at best, and consulted with friends about where to take it.
I received a couple of recommendations to take it to Masterworks Automotive. They told me that the mechanics were extremely honest, pleasant to work with, and very affordable.
I scheduled a visit and took it in one morning before work. Everyone was extremely nice, telling me what they thought might be wrong with it and promptly getting to work on it.
Unfortunately, my little car didn’t fare so well. I was told, almost immediately, that it would cost more to fix it than the car was worth; replacing the brake line, the fuel line, the fuel tank, etc. They gave me advice on what to do with it; sell it on Craigslist to a weekend warrior who had the time and expertise to fix it themselves (something I ultimately ended up doing, and most likely wouldn’t have done without advice), look into buying a relatively inexpensive car for myself, or even getting a lease that was within my price range. They went above and beyond when it came to customer service, and were genuinely invested in helping someone going through a rough patch.
They clearly felt really bad about having to be the bearer of bad news, and instead of swindling me or charging me for what they did, they told me not to worry about it. It was free of charge.
When I think about it, Masterworks Automotive could have easily charged me the thousands of dollars to repair a car that would have ultimately died a few months later. They could have charged me for the work they did. They did none of the above. I can’t recommend them enough, and I would encourage you, if your car is unfortunately going through some troubles, to give them a visit.
