Been a member here since last fall, and I’m hooked. I’ve never been a big gym enthusiast — for some reason, the combination of weights, workout machines and large crowds has always felt a little intimidating. But working out at 9Round is basically like a personal training session each time you go. And the trainers are great — they are super encouraging, but they also make sure you’re giving it 110%. When I first showed up for the free introductory workout, I left exhausted and nauseous. Hadn’t worked out that hard in 10 years. But that feeling quickly went away, and it doesn’t take long before you feel noticeably stronger. You’ll surprise yourself with your progress! Here’s how it works. The entire workout consists of nine different«rounds» or stations(hence, 9Round) that last 3 minutes each. They play music and you’ll hear a loud beep to let you know you’re done with that station. In between each round is 30 seconds of «active rest»(I think that’s what it’s called), which is led by the trainers. Then you move on to the next round. The trainers travel the room, to give tips and encourage you along the way. Probably my favorite thing about this place is how easily it fits into a busy person’s schedule. You don’t have to worry about class times, or spending 2 hours of your day in the gym. Just show up at any time during their business hours, and you’re out the door 30 minutes later! Amen!
