Artisan Gallery

We recently purchased jewelry from Artisan Gallery in Cleveland’s Little Italy for my wife. The apparent owner, Eve, sold me earrings, a necklace, pendant and a bracelet off their shelf. She did lengthen the necklace for me but clearly told me that the other items could be exchanged. Since the earrings and pendant did not work well for my wife we brought them back for exchange and were told through an assistant, who consulted by phone with Eve (who is seldom there), that all were custom made specifically for me and no exchange was possible. This was either a case of very bad memory or records, or a blatant lie. Eve would not return any phone calls on the matter from me or my wife. This is a shop with nice jewelry but apparently with poor ownership that will not stand behind its promises or deal with problems once a sale is complete. The assistant in the shop, who clearly was afraid of Eve, offered no meaningful comment of any kind. Not sure what is going on here but shop at Artisan Gallery in Cleveland’s Little Italy only at great risk of problems and aggravation after the sale should a need come up.
