Great place. Friendly people. Made our first visit to Cleveland memorable. Will go back. Highly recommend for people who love dive bars and how unique each is.

If you are into people watching? Than the Clark bar is the place for you! There is very normal and very eccentric people here! But everyone is always cool! If you want breakfast this is the place to come, very good! And cheap price wise! And big portions, so be hungry! And the the alcohol is well priced, which means it’s the cheapest in cleveland! Bring 20 $ dollars with you during happy hour, and you will leave with a good buzz! Love this place!

I was introduced to Clark Bar a couple months ago by a good friend, and have been going there since. The owner is friendly and witty with sarcastic humor that makes you smile, and feel at home. The regulars are chatty, the drinks and food are easy on the wallet with great service from the bartenders who rarely let you see the bottom of your glass. Touchtunes, Keno, clean bathrooms(women’s anyways) historical décor and you might even run into a patron or two pictured on the walls!

This is the best bar in all of Cleveland, potentially all of Ohio. It is the home to several superheros who labor tirelessly to save Cleveland from boring hipsters and yuppies. Wedgie-mullet man is the most fearsome of all. He tucks his worn wife-beater into his hiked up armor-all underwear to store massive kinetic energy. His powers include the ability to defeat lameness through his atomic skidmark and his underwear’s ability to leap tall buildings in a single bound. The other superhero is corpse-man. His powers include the ability to hide from his foes by appearing dead. In fact, even the most observant find it hard to tell… This is a gem and a icon and must be defended and preserved at all costs. If you have not experienced Clark Bar you have not experienced anything.

LOVE the Clark Bar! Scott runs a great bar! Its the last bar in Tremont that the Gleuten Free, Vegan, Yoga people havnt yuppified. I kind of reminds me of old school South Side of Cleveland. Most of the patrons work for a living and dont have mommy and daddys handouts. Sunday breakfast is awesome(if they have eggs).lol. I always take my friends from out of town here and we end up staying all afternoon drinking with Robert and the old black dude noone can understand. I wouldnt have it any other way. I probably should delete this review because next Sunday it will be packed. I wouldnt bring kids and the juke can still be set as loud as a Saturday nite. Its always a party there! Jam out with your clam out!

Clark Bar is not for tourists. This is a gritty, neighborhood bar that is is definitely in the dive category. It’s ripe for being taken over by hipsters who want to once again ironically sip their PBRs. This regulars would promptly kick their asses, of course. I would describe the regulars a little like Kurt Russell’s character from Big Trouble in Little China.

A nice, unpretentious dive bar. There’s a decent liquor selection [high-shelf — grey goose, stoly — multiple flavors] and low shelf [e.g. Wild Turkey, paramount]. 4 shots [Bailey’s knockoff; and something else) only cost $ 11. Their beer selection was a good selection of domestics($ 2 for a miller lite) and a microbrew of the month on draft($ 2.50 for a 10 – 12 oz goblet). They have a dart board but bring your own darts. I was pretty surprised to find the bar dead on a Friday night. The friendly bartender said that the previous regular Friday bartender had scared people off. Fortunately, she is no longer with Clark Bar. I’ll go back there again.

One star off from what I gave its stellar neighbor, the Rowley Inn, Clark Bar is still pretty amazing. The bartenders are anything but tender, during the summer they spend more time outside smoking than pouring drinks. I forgive and forget though because the booze is super cheap and the quality of people you meet inside is better than most dive bars. This is a great place for post-Cavs game boozing. Take note of the paintings of the steelyards that hang above the bar; a piece of Cle history. You see them first hand from the porch which makes you feel like your at a BBQ. I can’t finish before talking about the food; they have amazing daily specials with huge portions and, like everything else here, its on the cheap. I once started drinking here at ten in the morning while a host of others ate brunch and drank all around me. It was the start of a really good day.
