I had the worst customer experience at this particular home depot. I was trying to get a paint sample. The staff there spend more time socializing than doing their job. I was nice about it at first until she dropped my paint on the floor and laughed about it. When I addressed it with the manager, she made no attempt to recover the situation. I will not be returning to this Home Depot ever again due to their unprofessionalism.

This was the first time I visited this Home Depot and it was just okay. My boyfriend and I needed to rent a flatbed truck to move a china cabinet. They have funny rules that they don’t rent them out on weekends so we had to do it on a Friday. They stop renting trucks at 5pm and they are first come first serve. We first tried to rent one from the Cleveland Heights location because it would be closer to where we were going, but they simply said«no we don’t have any» and then hung up on us. We then called the Steelyard location. They had one and my boyfriend was able to put it on hold for me to get there… Good thing I am a teacher and am off over the summer. If we both worked normal 9−5s we would be SOL. When I got there they had told me to go to the services center. I told them what I needed and gave my last name, my boyfriends instructions, and they said no! The person I was waiting for had a last name of V not D! I started to panic for a second before they finally decided that maybe they did hear him wrong and I could have the truck. The rest of the rental process was pretty basic and easy. They took my info, checked the truck and sent me on my way with little other info. The truck cost $ 19.99 for 75 min and $ 10 for every extra hour. Not a bad deal at all. On the way back I realized I had used some gas and was not going to be returning it at the level it left so we tried to look at the rental agreement to see if it said we needed to replace the gas… It was NOWHERE! We then called Home Depot and they put us on hold while we sat in a gas station parking lot waiting and wasting time and money. Finally they were super short with us when they said yes we needed to replace the gas, like we were bothering them by asking. That information would have been helpful BEFORE I LEFTTHESTORE! Overall we paid $ 39 for the truck and put $ 15 in gas. Not a bad deal. UHaul would have been probably twice that.

Unfortunately a sad place to go. I’ve been to many HD’s in the past and this one was really depressing. It may have been a bad day for them but there were barely any cars in the lot and and for some reason it was hard to find anyone who can help locate an item. It’s also a little dirtier than others I’ve been at. I’m hoping it was just a bad night and this isn’t the norm. I couldn’t find the item as listed on their website and I couldn’t find anyone that could help.

I have been to many Home Depots and this one is by far the best. The staff are EXTREMELY helpful and friendly. This is noteworthy because they are always very busy. I have always gotten what I needed when visiting this Home Depot and checkout is quick and easy.

At one point, I was the mayor of this Home Depot because, well, I was there on a weekly basis. I’ve been here so many times and typically found what I wanted. On the occasion, I’ll have to go to another Home Depot(Lakewood has more options and renting), but the staff are always pleasant and if they don’t know the answer, they’ll call someone who does. I also like that you can rent their home depot truck for $ 20, which has helped me with some of my larger buys and avoided home delivery charges.

Been to many Home Depots. My knock on this one is that it is smaller, and less well stocked with less variety than other locations. What you do have is good. Service has been friendly and helpful.

Sure, this Home Depot’s probably the same as any other. However, a few things to note that make this experience nice: –People greet you at the door and they can actually help you with what you need. They usually don’t have to refer you to three other people to find what you’re looking for. –What was once the«grill and coal oasis»(my name) has now become the«get the *@&*& out of your snow jam oasis.» Loads of shovels and car scrapers. Ones that expand, ones that don’t, mini ones, and so on. –The key guy is nice and competent. When I had to wait a little while for my key to be copied(because I just happened to be there the one time 3 other people were waiting in line), he said, «Thanks for being patient.» –The self-check out is not frustrating as hell like it is at most grocery stores. Plus it’s almost always empty, so if you run into a problem or something’s too big to scan, someone can help you out right away. If I were a dude, I’m sure there’d be more to say.
