Nice quick bite to eat for breakfast! I get the simit with cream cheese. I enjoy the chewy texture of the bread and the tons of sesame seeds coating the outside of the simit. Wish the staff was a bit friendlier — interacting with customers with a smile never hurt anyone.

I came here Saturday morning after trying to find a new breakfast spot and returned the next day for more. The bread(simit) is addictive, we had the breakfast plate(a bunch of spreads, a piece of Turkish cheese, and simit bagel) and a black olive spread & cheese sandwich. Both were delicious, though I wish they made their own cream cheese instead of giving us a bit of Philadephia cream cheese in a plastic cup. Also would be nice if they had a good espresso machine. The Turkish coffee was very good but definitely not enough caffeine in the morning. The sandwiches and simit are great though. Definitely give them a try if you’re in the area.

This is our regular bakery, we stop here to buy Simit and other Turkish savory products, the place is small but nice and clean. There is a problem with their door opening, instead of pull, you need to push to get in, same confusion for getting out of the place. I am writing this to inform the owners what happened today at 2.30 pm. I went in to the bakery, ordered 10 simits, the girl started throwing them into the plastic bag, I said, you need to put the simits into the paper bags and then place them into the bag. Well this friendly reminder created a very unfriendly attitude, she almost was throwing simits at my face. Very disrespectful and unprofessional behavior. I know she only works there but owners must be aware of their workers behaviors towards to customers.

Had my first plain Turkish bagel. It’s like a combo of croissant and bagel. Light and fluffy. Their apricot jelly is amazing !!! Had another Turkish treat with meat. Lady explained everything before I ordered. Cannot wait to go there again and hopefully have the same thing and try other things on the menu

Loved their simit, although they could have warmed it up before serving it. They do lack in service-not very welcoming.

Had the Turkish coffee during lunch break. There was someone else there reading the paper, but I took full advantage of the wifi and planted myself there for a full half hour. It’s in a nice downtown area with shops and restaurants. I walked there but I think there’s street parking. Friendly staff.

I say this is like the simit you get in a patisserie in Turkey. On par with Simir Saray on 6th avenue. Serving Turkish style delicious breakfast. You can buy the semi cooked simit frozen and finish it off in your owen for the fresh out of oven taste. I brought a dozen to CA for testing purposes and started a fight among my Turkish friends. Apparently Turks don’t share simit well :)). Looking for a shipping company to get more, more often.

Swung by to pick up coffee. Tried the Turkish coffee and it was a bit too strong for me. It seems like they bake their breads fresh everyday so I would want to come back and try some of their breakfast items/breads.

Any kind of bread is made exponentially better once it’s coated in sesame seeds, in my opinion. Crowd here seems to be mostly Turkish so that’s probably a good sign as to its authenticity. Boyfriend and I both ordered simits with salmon, red onion, tomato, and cream cheese and they were really yummy. Red onion really makes it pungent, just don’t get too near anyone’s face after eating it. The breakfast platters with olives, cheese, tomatoes, etc looked really fantastic, I’ll definitely be back to sit down and try it when it’s not so busy. Bought a few loaves of bread to take home and have that night with dinner, they were extremely cheap and good and the owner even threw in one for free because it was late in the day.

Poor managment and very rude staff. Although i love simit and their other products, more than a few times i have been served a not so fresh, rock solid simit by the not so friendly and not so smiley young lady.

So I tried their so famous salmon sandwich to go. When I got back, I bit into the sandwich only to find out that is only cream cheese and salmon. …what? I called the place to ask them about what else needs to be in there. Looking at the photo, there should be tomatoes and red onions. They said, «oh it’s not there? Sorry must have been all out.» Could have told me that you can’t make the order as it should be when you took my order. Completely disapponted. The sandwich was too salty to eat as it was.

Props to management for keeping this place so clean! My boyfriend and I visited this café twice, he loves it. I’ve gotten their salmon/cream cheese sandwich(with their bagel) and I’ve asked for onions. It’s pretty good. :) and I would also recommend their Mint Lemonade. Very refreshing. Good customer service, good location.

Not very familiar with Turkish food, but was walking by and rather hungry so I decided to stop in for lunch. Had the turkey sandwich on a whole grain simit and it was great! I loved the bread and the sandwich was enough to fill me up for sure. The roasted red peppers were just enough to make the sandwich taste great, without being over powering. Would love to stop in again and try some other things, preferably some breakfast items, and the Turkish coffee! Not much room inside, but I was taking my sandwich to go anyway. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would recommend coming here for something fresh and quick to go.

This place is so homey and customer oriented I was shocked to learn it is a chain. A friend went to one in the Upper West Side and I thought it was this one. We had several different sandwiches, baked goods and Turkish coffees. Heaven. In this most Turkish of locales, I urge you to make this place a regular stop, if for no other reason than my enlightened self interest in having it to go to in the future.

Went here for the first time last Saturday. Been meaning to check this place out for a while now. You walk in and you get a wonderful whiff of sesame seeds. We didn’t know that there was such a large Turkish population in Cliffside Park. Every person that came in seemed to be from Turkey. We tried the the simit which looks like a skinny bagel covered in sesame seeds. Chewy and delicious! We also had a bread that looked like a bagel but very soft like a roll — also very good. It was nice to get away from all the Korean bakeries on Broad Ave and try something new. We’ll definitely be back to try something else on the menu.

This place is good for a quick bite — kind of Starbucks like. I had the breakfast plate, which was a sliced up simit(Turkish sesame bagel) with a number of toppings on the side(cream cheese, Nutella, feta cheese, jam, olives, tomatoes, and bell peppers). The plate was a bit excessive and I ended wasting most of the toppings. I’d recommend avoiding the breakfast plate and getting a simit with a single topping instead. The simit itself was delicious, and I liked my coffee too. My fiancé enjoyed his simit with with Nutella. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Usually walked by this place wasn’t too sure what it was till we Unilocaled it! Glad we did ! Their fresh bread is amazing ! Better than any breakfast bagel! I got the smoked salmon cream cheese on a simit with Turkish coffee! Perfect combination Simit is covered in sesame seeds and toasted! Also tried the feta + parsley and kasseri + olive Pogaca! Love the vibe of the place too! Staff is very friendly !
