Have ordered for delivery for 10+ years at China Express, but the last three orders have been horrible. Crunchy rice(under cooked), missing items from the order, refusal to credit missing items, overall reduction in quality of the food(highly variable), and the list goes on… After spending $ 1,000s on food delivery orders from this restaurant, I will now never order again…

Decent price at 24 $ for two dinner entrees delivered. Not a big fan of the meat in the dishes, but the vegetables were of a satisfying texture. General Tso’s did use big chunks of white meat chicken, the Hunan beef was a tad bland.

My go to place for Chinese food. Have been ordering here for 15+ years. Always consistent and the prices vs portions is perfect if not too much food. If you like a little curry and spice then you have to get the Singapore rice noodles.

Great food, just a tad pricey for the amount you get. The staff are always friendly and the food has always been delicious.

Terrible. I ordered and what I wanted wasn’t available(biggest pet peeve, why is it on the menu then?). Then upon pick up 5 people were at the register and I had to asked to be helped. Finally the food was terrible. It tasted like the food was cooked in Cologne. I will never order from here again!

Delivery entrees are somewhat small for what you’re pay for… there are much cheaper locations that can offer the same quality delivery chinese food…

Ordered the Soft shell crab and the peking duck. It was so good and the duck was juicy with crispy skin. The soft shell crab was deep fried and was salty. Both of which was very good for dinner for two. Most of all the peking duck didn’t cost $ 50 like Peking Gourmet and It tasted just as good. Definitely will try other dishes here.

We had been looking for a good chinese food place in Centreville, after a few disappointing experience. Weirdly, we heard about this place from our exterminator, who raved about it because the kitchen is apparently CRAZY clean. The food is good! The delivery is seriously fast. We’ve tried all the usual staples(fried rice, crispy beef, beef and broccoli, sweet and sour chicken). I appreciate that the meat is decent, without the weird fatty/chewy bits that can pop up in some restaurants. They have online ordering, which is my favorite. If you’re in Centreville, give this place a try!

I’ve ordered from these guys for years. I have dined in couple times but most of the time I had it delivered. I’ve ordered everything from the standard beef and broccoli to the chefs choice. I just learned that they have restricted their delivery to within 4.0 miles and I’m .6 miles outside the limit. They called to cancel my order and asked if I would prefer pick-up. Some days… pick up is not an issue. There are days you’ve had a bad day or you just want to stay in and would like to splurge a little and have your food delivered. If I’m getting in the car, I’m going to PF Changs which is right down the road. It is unfortunate that they cannot find the business benefit for extending their delivery options.

It’s chinese food. It’s exactly what you expect. Decent food for decent prices and they bring it to your house. They used to have pretty good sushi and a few japanese items but most of that is gone, I think people weren’t ordering it much. Which is a shame because fresh delivered sushi is hard to find.

It’s good… kinda. Can’t expect much from Chinese takeout anyways. General tso’s chicken is good cause you can’t really mess it up. Would recommend sino’s inn instead of this place, in the area as well.

While I lived in Centreville, I ordered from here frequently. The food is good and prices are even better, but I’m leaving a negative review because they’re unwilling to work with customers. I’m .5 miles outside of their delivery radius(4 miles as stated on website) at my new location. I placed an online order which went through, so I assumed all would be okay. I then got a call that they were canceling my order because they wouldn’t deliver to my location. I felt this was a little silly, since it is only .5 miles away but I understood the need for regulations regarding delivery distance. After searching for some other Chinese place, I decided this place was what I really wanted. I called back and asked if they could simply charge more for delivery to accommodate the extra half mile. I have ordered from here from GMU which is even further, so I knew that at some point they would deliver further. Nonetheless, I was told, «uh, no». Okay. There went my business. I would have even paid double the delivery fee(which is definitely unreasonable but I had a craving for it) but the place was just unwilling to work with me, or perhaps didn’t care to. tl;dr = good food but stupid service decisions.

Ordered three(3) orders of California Roll crabmeat only spicy and regular. No avocado or sesame. A total of 18 for delivery. Ummm — very good and FRESH! A+. Will do again easily!

Pretty standard chinese delivery but what I like is the all white breast meat that they use. It’s not rubbery like some places. The chicken with black bean sauce and the kung pao are both really tasty. I also like the fact that you can get a plain Lo mein for 5 bux.

Wish I could give 0 stars. I have lived around the corner for a year and a half and have not tried this place, so thought I’d give them a shot when I was craving egg drop soup. They have an $ 8 minimum for debit cards, which is ridiculous. So I got crab rangoons, egg drop soup, and spring rolls. First, there was NO crab in the crab rangoons. They were all cream cheese and disgusting. The spring rolls were mushy and had no flavor. They even managed to mess up egg drop soup. Will not be back, if you want awesome Chinese, go to Panda Café on route 29. They are cheaper and the food is actually edible.

Awesome! THEBEST Chinese Food I have had outside on New York City… and yes, NYC does have the best Chinese food. If you are from NY and you want realy good take out, go here over anywhere else in NOVA. Hands down! Even better than your typical NY take out place, it’s also a decent and quite respectable looking resturant. And the service was quite friendly. So if you want to eat in, go for it. It also has sushi, which while not the best(I did get it to go), it was quite servicable. I will have to try more rolls in house instead of take out. Overall, worth every dollar, especially if you know what good Chinese take out is supposed to be!

Have been coming here for take out for several years now. The food is 3 stars and nothing special but it gets the job done and some items are actually pretty good. The 4th star comes from great value and friendly staff. We always get the General Tso’s which is nicely prepared and the chicken actually has some consistency. Some people don’t like dark meat so stay away if you hate dark meat as this place uses chicken thigh meat. The Beef Chow Fun is another favorite dish that a lot of people don’t know about. Tender strips of beef with scallions and onions served with wide noodles that have a nice chewy texture. The one thing that I have to mention is their sushi. Don’t do it. They don’t get enough consistent business to properly rotate their sushi and as a result you are left with some really subpar sushi. The Tempura is even worse. It’s all about expectations. Don’t get wrapped up about authentic Chinese. Great prices and they also give you free sodas for carry out.

Pretty Good Chinese food is a matter of taste. It’s different at different places. We’re not talking about Big Macs where the one you get in France is just the same as the one in San Francisco. Sometimes people like a particular Chinese place but we’ll hate it. We like this one. On Mondays our favorite Chinese restaurant is closed, but this Monday we both had a hankerin’ for some Chinese food. Precious noticed this place the last time we ate at Outback Steakhouse so she suggested we make like a bakery truck and haul our buns over there. We got the Kung Pao chicken and the chicken with cashew nuts. It’s nuthin’ fancy, but it’s what we like. It was pretty good. Actually, it was very good. The only complaint I have is that they didn’t put hardly any veggies in there. I like a lot of veggies: carrots, onions, green peppers, bamboo, etc. etc. But the next time we get a hankerin’ for some Chinese food on a Monday, it’s good to know that we can always go to Union Mill China Express

NOTETOSELF: Next time we need to order Chinese around here… Bitter broccoli in the broccoli and shrimp… shrimp was good though. Mushy chow fun noodles… not to funny. General Tso chicken… chunks still too big. Singpore noodles, good but probably loaded with MSG… but good.
