This was pretty good. The food was different and interesting for the area. I was a fan.

When I found this place, I had high expectations for it. Four of us came here for dinner on a Thursday evening around 6:30. It’s in a shopping center so parking was fine. The place is nice also, has a little area in the front of it for outdoor seating. The inside is nice and trendy. Food: four of us ordered: the Buffalo burger, Rolla chicken, spicy chicken pasta, and one person in the group ordered an appetizer which was eggplant stuffed with tomatoes, garlic, herbs. I got the spicy chicken pasta and was very disappointed with it. I should have probably known better than to order an Asian style pasta dish, but I had hopes for it and ended up disappointed. There was little 3 small pieces of chicken in the whole pasta dish. I took a bite of the other person’s buffalo burger and that was fine. The rolla chicken was alright, nothing impressive. The stuffed eggplant appetizer was also something I wouldn’t recommend. They also serve wine, beer and cocktails. On the menu it says happy hour from 4−7pm; the happy hour price for beer and cocktails are $ 1 cheaper and 25 cents cheaper for the wine. Service was fine. I would go back just to try different things and hope I enjoy it because I really wanted to like this place.

Service was responsive but a little slower– more of the classic Italian feel. You won’t feel rushed or hurried here. Food is fantastic. Well worth the price. Staff was knowledgeable about different items on the menu and detailed about taste. Outdoor seating was a little cramped but tolerable. Very nice place.

My friends and I decided to get together today for a ladies lunch and I was not impressed. I gave it 3 stars because the Mediterranean pizza was good. I was disappointed with the time it took for the food to come out and the service. The Caesar Salad barely had any dressing or parmesan cheese and NOCROUTONS! Who doesn’t put croutons on a Caesar Salad? The restaurant was not even that busy. I don’t think I will be going back anytime soon.

Normally good but tonight was terribly slow. Resulting in food coming out cold. I would have sent it back but we already waited so long I was starving. Seriously considering never coming back. It’s not that crowded.

My family ate dinner for the first time and last time at this«bistro» in the Clifton strip mall. McDonalds would have been better food and much better service. Eight staff behind the counter watching tv, eating, looking at their cell phone for extended periods of time, and playing with their hair. We sat there just waiting and wondering how this place stays open. When the food arrived there were large sized fruit flies circling our food. Not a manager in sight! Not an enjoyable meal, we should have not tried a new restaurant, our money was wasted.

I have brunch and dinner here with some regularity. Not a huge fan of Mediterranean food, but the shish and kebabs are tasty, the pasta dishes very good, and the pizza is great, and pricing across the board quite reasonable. A wine and drink selection that suits the menu well. The service is top notch, the wait staff and managers work hard. But as others have noted, the interior needs refreshed and more attention to cleanliness around the wait station in the back. Limited dining options in the area probably keep this place going because the margins on take out pizza aren’t that good. Maybe the owner should spend less time sitting in the corner bs’ing.

Family had a nice dinner here. Enjoyed chicken alfredo, chicken caesar salad, pizza, and lamb kabobs. All nicely done. Bread was also very good. Also like trying to find smaller restaurants that aren’t part of big restaurant chains. Definitely recommend.

This is our favorite spot and we have to fight the urge to go there more than once a day. Everything we’ve had has been stellar. The only reason we branch out is seeing plates go by us to other tables. Service is tops. The bread and tapenade is worthy of being a meal itself. Our next item on the checklist is happy hour. I would recommend that first timers go for brunch on the weekend, because their specials are bomb. We regularly get the eggs benedict, steak and eggs, huevos rancheros, pides, and pancakes. The coffee is also noteworthy. For lunch/dinner, try the rollas and seafood pasta. Would go on, but we haven’t made it through the whole menu yet. We’ve already resigned to driving here when we move closer to DC. If you have family in town, bring them here!

Came here for drinks and dinner with friends. This place has decent food and decent service. They have a great variety of selection but nothing in particular to make it stand out or «wow» anyone. Alcohol(specifically the cocktails) was delicious but weak though so may have to get two drinks to equal one. I did not meet the owner nor experienced bad service at this place like other reviewers have said. This place is just plain average. Although the décor is kind of strange. It’s like a weird clash between trying to be upscale and then giving up half way through and making it a regular diner.

We’ve been to Rosemary’s Thyme a few times before but before we were Unilocalers! We were in the area running an errand and decided to stop for dinner. We were greeted when we walked in and told we could sit anywhere. Most of the empty tables were filthy. We chose one by the window that was dirty and then the hostess sighed as if we shouldn’t have picked that one. Well then — you shouldnt’ have offerred. One tv in the bar was on the Nats game so we asked if the other one could be put on the Caps game. They said, «of course’. They proceeded to turn the channel and the entire time we were the tv said… your programming is not available. They never bothered to pay attention to what channel they put it on or to find another channel. — Just left it on a blank screen with that simple message. Now no one could watch anything! The waitress came to take out orders and I don’t even remember what my husband ordered. It was fine whatever it was. i asked if someone was«good» and she frowned and said I don’t like eggplant so I wouldn’t know. NICEANSWER. It was an unusual dish so I decided to try it anyway. It was actually pretty good. Once we got our food — our waitress was never to be seen again. It took forever to get a box for my leftovers and to get the check. I remembered the place being better. I guess I may have been wrong or it’s going downhill. Not sure I would bother to try it again — in the neighborhood or not.

Yes, I gave this restaurant one star. That is only because I have been coming here for 19 years and the food has been amazing. What I witnessed today was nothing short of disturbing. The owner yelling at an employee, belittling him in front of everyone, then when I told him to stop… He asked what he could do to make me happy. I asked him to apologize, he said: NEVER. So i told him I would NEVER be coming back.

Surprisingly good for a little remote location. Outside seating during warm days can be great(they also have heater posts for colder seasons). Their kabop and four cheese pizza are excellent. Wait staff is mostly average.

Had dinner last night with my family. Mixed emotions on the entire experience. The menu is expansive and requires some serious review if you are unfamiliar with Turkish/Greek cuisine. We mentioned to our server it was our first visit and she was most helpful in pointing out notable dishes. Overall, the food was good, not great. Like others, we generally found it to be somewhat bland and used the Pide sauce to boost the flavor of other dishes. The Adona Kabob was our favorite, the white pizza rather greasy and flavorless. The ambience of the restaurant is lacking. Tables are too close and too many hard surfaces made the noise level — in a practically empty restaurant — a little annoying. Some drapes or linen table cloths would help immensely. I am guessing the summertime outdoor dining is a more pleasant experience. We had to take setups from another table, as our server brought food and failed to notice we were without. Empty dishes were not removed when new ones were brought, a challenge on a small table. The owner of the restaurant was entertaining his own family and friends in the rear corner of the restaurant and it was clear the staff were expected to cater to that table, at the expense of other diners. They were loud and the«flute recital» by his daughter completely unnecessary. He failed to ever acknowledge other guests in the midst of his peacocking. Lastly, the place is filthy. The walk(past the boisterous family table) to the facilities takes you past a service station overflowing with dirty dishes and a storage area that needs some serious cleaning. The lights in the ladies room were nearly-burned out fluorescents, making it impossible to even see. My guess is that was a gift. Overall, this place has potential, but is beyond tired. The old dude owner needs to move in, entertain his guests at home and let someone takeover who will clean it up, breath some fresh energy into this place and max out its potential.

Restaurant for folks with low expectations… Hey Mr. Owner, hear me out ! I read here that a lot of people were complaining about the blunt food taste. They are right. Food taste like of McDonalds. Too many 86s… place needs quality management. …and improvement on food taste. I was there at 8’clock. Half of the foods I asked were 86. You have red pepper for customer alright. But, cheap Italian pizzeria kind with seeds. Good Lord. get some good quality seedless Turkish red pepper from Super H … Doner on Iskender was half an inch thick. Darn! What planet are we on? It tastes like meatball not kebab. bad bad bad… Dough on pide was greatly done at least, BUT, pide itself had way too much mozzarella for its own good. Less but quality Kassari cheese is warranted… Lahmacun as appetizer.OK.at least not terrible. Desserts were another disappointment.. . Thick chocolate mousse with cheap whipped cream… It also had a very cheap chocolatty taste. Packaged Jello mousse sold in Giant is much better tasting. Romanoff sauce was alright with fresh berries. Nothing exciting but alright… Waitress forgot to bring cutlery and napkins with appetizers. Restaurant with average check of $ 30 per person should also provide cloth napkin I believe. Will I come back again… I do not think so. Ah one last thing. most dishes are based on Turkish cuisine. I do not expect the taste to be exactly the same, but taking names of certain famous Turkish dishes yet leaving most of the taste behind is a huge mistake… at least, hire a Turkish or Greek chef to QC the food taste. It will do you and customers good.

I’d definitely come back. The food was good, the service could have been better. Came here with my girlfriend for a light dinner(I had been before and really liked the cöp şiş), I had the corn chowder, she the shepherd’s salad, and we split an order of the manti. All three were quite tasty, and perfect portions for what we wanted. For the service, it wasn’t bad, but not outstanding. The server was friendly, but we were kind of off to the side, so I don’t think we got quite as quick attention. The manti came out well after the soup and salad had arrived, and we didn’t see our server for a longish stretch and I was starting to wonder if I should ask about it. I had to ask for a refill on my tea when she finally did come back around, but after she was quick on refills. Definitely go there. It’s nice, it’s got a good, quiet ambiance, and in the summer the outdoor patio seating is enjoyable.

I went here for lunch with some friends today. I have been here several times before, and I always enjoy the food. Food– I had the Adana Kabob with extra veggies instead of beans. I also had the tortilla soup. The soup was good with a strong tomato base and tortilla chips on top. The bread and tapenade looked delicious, but I’m trying to cut down on carbs so I forced myself to stay away from it. that kebab had a nice flavor and it had a slight kick to it which I liked. The next veggies were pretty good too… They weren’t just steamed l or drowning in a butter sauce like in most restaurants. They had a bit of seasoning, and it tasted almost like it was cut with a little bit of wine. One friend had the Mediterranean salad with blackened chicken which looks delicious. She ordered a small size and couldn’t even finish it. My other friend ordered the blackened shrimp pizza. She goes here all the time and she says it’s a favorite of hers. Service — our server was very nice. He was personable and he got our order correct. My only complaint is that we had to wait a while for him to take our order and for our food to be served. People who came in after us were able to order before us and eat before us. I’m not sure if it had something to do with the type of food we ordered since I know that some salads can be made much quicker than a kebab. However, it seems like it took a lot longer then needed. Atmosphere — The restaurant was nice. When you walked in, you can see the kitchen straight through the back. There is a nice Mirow on one wall and the restaurant was clean. My only comment for the appearance was that when you walk to the back to the bathrooms, you pass a service station. One server was eating lunch at the service station. I’ve worked in restaurants for over a decade and we were never allowed to eat where customers could see us. Also, the service station was a little messy. There are dirty dishes and cups sitting on the counter. I definitely understand how Sarah stations can get busy and you don’t have time to return dirty dishes all the way to the kitchen, But a bus person should at least be in charge of clearing the service station so it looks clean. Overall — I enjoyed my experience and the food. I don’t know that this would be one of my favorite restaurants, but it was good!

We had brunch here on a Sunday morning. We arrived about five minutes after opening and service was slow but picked up as they seemed to get more organized. Our server was friendly and competent just the right blend of chatty but please leave me a lone I’m trying to eat here. :) The brunch menu was pretty expansive and included the regular brunch stapes e. g, eggs benedict, eggs, bacon, and quiche lorraine. The Eggs Benedicts was good but they overcooked the eggs we sent it back to the kitchen — something they offered to do without even our suggestion — I like that and the eggs were perfectly cooked the second time around. The hollandaise sauce was a bit off, not sure what the problem was but it was not the typical taste I am used to. The quiche lorraine was good but I prefer a flakier crust. Overall, this seems like an excellent neighborhood eating establishment but I would not make a special trip to dine here.
