Decent BBQ for up north and good selection of wines and craft beers. I’ve been here a few times over the past year and I’ve always had a good experience. The brisket is probably my favorite choice, with the burnt ends being a close second. There’s no other place like this in the area!

I really wanted to enjoy Mighty Quinn’s because I love BBQ. The food itself was fine, but what I have a problem with is the price to portion ratio. A single serving of ribs is $ 8.95 and for that you get 4 small ribs. The brisket was $ 9.95 for a single portion which looked like it was 4 ounces of meat. This is a counter service restaurant, so it’s not like I am seated at a table and give my order to a waiter. They need to not be so stingy with the portions. This wasn’t the NYC location, it was Clifton, NJ right off of Route 3. Change the name to Mighty Stingy Quinn’s and at least people won’t leave hungry.

I have been to this location 4 times and the first three times have been great, delicious. It has been some time since I have been and I was shocked at how it has changed. Too begin — Very disappointed with the staff. I can make excuses and say it was a Thursday night and they just had a long day, but I will not… being the front of the house, it is their job to be pleasant to the customers. They seemed more interested in talking and being on their phone, from my observation. If the customer can see workers on their phone, that does not look good. Secondly — We have always enjoyed the food, mouth watering, melt in your mouth GOOD! Again, idk if it was a fluke of the day, or what, but the burnt ends were VERY dry and chewy, and the servers were extremely stingy with the sides. Like I have said, we have been here before and have never gotten six, yep thats right SIX cucumbers as a side. If I am ordering two single servings of burnt ends and spending $ 30+ dollars, I would expect more than six cucumbers as a side. AND not the scrapings at the end of a pan.(why the change with the portions??) We had to actually tell the server she needed a refill of the meat because we were not paying for scraps. Where was the sauce? usually swimming in sauce… not this time. how disappointing. To top it off, we like a little spicy, and there is nothing wrong with that, though asking for a little hot sauce resulted in some sass from the counter-staff. Not only is a little hot sauce .80 cents, but the server continued to say«well its because the Siracha is expensive». I have never been to a restaurant where I was charged nearly a dollar for a condiment. I know next time to walk with my own. IF there is a next time. Pretty turned off from this experience. Positive — The burnt ends baked beans are still quite delicious.

My boyfriend and I came here hungry as hell one night and decided to order 1 of almost everything on the menu. Brisket– disappointing! Which is ironic because it looked the yummiest. I don’t know if it was just that batch but it was very dry and tasteless. Ribs, pulled pork sandwich– 10⁄10 deliciousssss Wings– not the best, I could’ve done without them. They had a little kick to them so the spice was nice Sweet potato casserole– I can eat this for breakfast lunch and dinner. Sweet and crunchy and delicious Coleslaw– I prefer the mustard one over the mayo based one. Complimented the meat very well. Also ordered a side of fries(don’t remember the name) with brisket and cheese over top, delicious but was a little too much on top of all the fatty meats.

Visited the place twice, could not figure what was wrong about this place. The brisket which i prefer was really good. Don’t care about their sides . The layout of the place stinks. They have this huge space for garbage and this tiny little place for the condiments and utensils. So why does this bother me ? If you sit down and you have forgotten something, forget it. It’s like going through an obstacle course to get back up there and you are inconveniencing the customer that is paying, who wants to move down the line and pick up his utensils. That should be placed on the side there is a flow for the customers paying and for those who forgot something. It’s not like they don’t have the room. The tables are placed like you are going through an obstacle course. The place is dirty. All the tables are sticky and the floors are just as bad. Use a cleaner when cleaning the tables not a dirty filthy rag . Advertise the free refill on sodas. I went up to get my wife a soda and the girl told me to bring my cup and I get up there and she says, «I will give you a new cup« Does that make sense ? It’s all about customer service

Mediocre BBQ. Had the brisket and burnt ends. Brisket was way too dry and flavorless. Burnt ends was slopped in their too sweet sauce. Prices having been upped too. Will probably never make a return trip.

This will be a quick review. I went for a friend’s birthday dinner and I was pleasantly surprised. It’s not exactly a restaurant. It’s more of a cafeteria or Chipotle where you go up to the counter and get your food. I’m not a big BBQ fan but this place did have ambience and delicious food. The corn fritters were excellent. I had the half of chicken and it was juicy. The BBQ sauce at the table is a must. Go and try this place out.

The smell outside of Mighty Quinn’s alone warrants 5 stars and is probably responsible for multiple instances of me consuming more meat than I should in one sitting. The food is consistently good, we’ve sample the brontosaurus rib, pulled pork, brisket, and burnt ends. The burnt ends are definitely my favorite and one of the better examples that I’ve sampled in the area. I like the sides and I like the pickles that they give you as a nice, tangy bite to contrast with the richness of the meat. The portions are deceptively large — as in, I always think there won’t be enough food but instead I’m always stuffed.

I’m quite a BBQ snob. As a new lover of Brisket, after a trip to Dallas late last year. Mighty Quinns reminds me of a place I visited there. I discovered this recently when leaving LA Fitness next door. It’s rather hidden in the strip mall and I find it a really poor location. Lucky for me I strolled in on a Saturday after the gym wanting to pick up some food for later that night. Saturdays are all day happy hour. The draft Beers were $ 3.50 and if i hadn’t just come from the gym I would have ordered up at the counter and found a seat to watch one of the games that were on. This seems like a very comfortable spot to share a table, grab some awesome BBQ and hang out for a few hours. I ordered the brisket and a pulled pork sandwich to go. The brisket was divine but a tad fatty, the pulled pork was tender and juicy but WAY too salty! The cole slaw was good as well. You MUST have a side of the baked beans. These are as good as they get. FRESH not a mushy mess. My dad tried some when I got home and all he could say was MMMMMM, mmmmmm these are good.(That’s praise of the highest caliber, in case you were wondering) The ribs seemed a little pricey but I may get me a Groupon(yes, they offer Groupon but only for Rib combos and not sure if is valid to go) and splurge on the ribs. Stay tuned partners :)

Stopped by Mighty Quinn’s the other night with my wife and was pretty upset about the service. We walked up to the counter and asked for burnt ends which they were out of. When I inquired about the ribs and what the difference was, it was like I was asking for the person’s first born. The server behind the counter even had the audacity to say the difference was the price. Thanks, I can read. As for the food, I ended up getting the pork BBQ ribs and a side of baked beans. The ribs were pretty bland(had to douse them with BBQ sauce) and tasted a bit overcooked(probably from being old and sitting in the warmer for too long). The beans were okay. This will probably be my last visit to this location. Shame, not many great BBQ places in the area…

The food is 4 stars! And the service, sub-par. Maybe my server was having a bad day but he was just super grumpy. But how can you be grumpy surrounded by all of the smoky, saucy, meaty goodness? But I digress. My experiences at the NYC mighty quinn’s have been better. The ribs are so yummy and fall off the bone. The sides are regular sized and still flavorful.

omg becky, look at that rib. it is SO big. Talking about the brontosaurus rib of course! I’ve only heard of/looked at pictures of this thing and dreamt of the day I would get to devour it. It did not disappoint. I thought maybe 23 dollars was a bit steep, but no. Totally and utterly worth it. Idk how they do it, but they gotta keep doing it. The rib is so soft, so delicious, it was gone too fast. Luckily for me, i ordered the last one. Unluckily for the people behind me, Mighty Quinn’s only makes a limited amount of these ribs of the gods. The only thing I would want them to change is to keep the rib on the bone so I can eat it like the barbarian I am. It’s hard to eat it with a fork and the knife is useless. I got it with the beans and fries as sides and the beans are absolutely amazing. Slight kick to it, nice and creamy. Fries are ok. Beer at 6 – 7 dollars, not a bad deal. But enough about all that, the rib is where it’s at. I’ve had their brisket and I thought that was good, until I had the rib and ruined everything for me… I hope to be back soon for another fix.

Second time here, delish delish! First time I came I had the smoked sausage, which was ok. Corn fritters and fries… loved the corn fritters. Very filling stuff! So even if you may think damn it’s a tad pricey it’s worth it. They sell soft drinks, specialty sodas and beers! So second visit today, I ordered the brisket with two sides, the spoon pudding which was their special today. It was sort of like stuffing but with a more bread consistency… very savory slightly spicy with pieces of sausage oh my my. My other side was the sweet potato casserole which has a maple taste and pieces of pecans. The brisket was super tender and juicy, flavorful. I like how they serve the fatty areas as well which locks in all the juices. I couldn’t finish all my sides so I took the rest to go. I highly recommend this place for some bbq. ***located by the beauty plus store***

More recently the food has improved by a little bit. I also use less BBQ sauce which is too sweet. The downsides are really the high amounts of fat on the brisket and the undercooked chicken. I love the sides they offer, specifically the pomes frites. Since there are low carb options here, I’ve been here more often for food on the go or for the net day. They offer a number of beers but I have not found any I enjoy. The ice cream with pretzels are really good too, not low carb :/

I love this spot. My third time here confirmed that. I’ve had the brisket and pulled pork sandwiches and they are both so full of flavor. The BBQ sauce is on the money — can’t say the same for the fries since I never seem to finish them and that is unlike me. I have been wanting to try other items on the menu but I am so hooked on the sandwiches that I can’t seem to overlook them. They offer a lot of sides to go with your meal as well. It would be nice if they had some Mac&Cheese…unless I missed it the times that I have gone. They have a nice selection of beers on tap –which goes perfect with the BBQ meal. The place is big and the times that I have stopped by there is more than enough seating to stay and eat there. The workers are cool and I have not had any issues. I never turn down a trip here!

Mighty Quinn’s. After being exposed to Texas BBQ and living in the sate for a while now, I have decided to give this place a legitimate try when I came back to New Jersey. From their website, they say that the BBQ here is a mix of the Carolina and Texas style BBQ. I ended up ordering what I usually get at BBQ joints: brisket. Usually, I get mine extra moist, to taste the fatty goodness of course. I find it weird though that most people don’t order by the pound, but by a serving. Compared to Texas, it’s pretty pricey($ 9.99 = 1 serving = ~6−7 oz of meat with bread). I also ordered their bread pudding. The brisket: After having Texas BBQ a lot the past few months, this meat is actually not THAT bad. It’s probably one of the best BBQ joints on this side of the country honestly. I’m not sure how they cook their meat. I didn’t see a smoker of any sort, so I am not sure how the meat gets cooked. However, the end result was great! What really got me though was the bread pudding. Probably the best bread pudding I’ve had in a long time. I am not sure what is so good about it, but, the taste, warmth, and little crunch to the bread really makes it for me. If I still lived in New Jersey, I would probably come to Mighty Quinn’s not for the BBQ, but just for the bread pudding. Overall: 4⁄5 BBQ: 3⁄5 Bread Pudding: 5⁄5

AMAZINGBBQ! I went to Mighty Quinn’s BBQ with a couple friends. As soon as you walk in, you will have to join the line, there is no hostess. It is a cafeteria style of ordering. At the time i went to the restaurant the line was very long, but moving. Mighty Quinn’s has a great selection of Ribs, Brisket and other assortment of items which are all posted on the wall. I ordered the Brisket and Ribs. I can not recall the prices here exactly but i do recall it being very reasonable. My friend ordered the Brontosaurus rib which is MASSIVE! I have to say that i was not disappointed with the quality of food. The Brisket was great and the Ribs were done perfect! I ordered a side of wings and beans, which I would highly recommend. I must warn you that the wings have a little bit of heat to them. I also ordered corn fritters. To be honest, i did not like the corn fritters because they were too doughy. I would NOT recommend the corn fritters. Overall, this is a GREAT place to have BBQ. There is plenty of seating and lots of paper towels. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and I would definitely visit again. The views expressed are of my own and are my true personal experience at this establishment. My personal experience may not reflect this actual establishment, their quality or someone else’s experience at the establishment.

It’s set up very much like a Chipotle. You go down the line, choose your meat, choose your side, etc. The ambiance even feels like Chipotle. This isn’t a good or bad thing — just a first impression to note. I had a single serving of burnt ends(crispy part of the brisket smothered in their special BBQ sauce), sweet potato casserole, and creamy cole slaw. Came out to just a little over $ 12. I thought the burnt ends and sweet potato casserole were delicious! Cole slaw was average. I really enjoyed my meal, but definitely not worth the $ 13. Such tiny portion sizes, which is why I deducted a star, but it was a delicious and quick meal overall.

My friend from Arizona, and his basketball team were in the Bronx for a tournament the 1st weekend of August. I ran into people that I have not seen in along time so of course a dinner outing to catch up was planned. When the topic of going out to eat came up, many ideas were tossed around. Just a stone’s throw away from the famous Arthur Ave, the Bronx’s «Little Italy» my wife and I were thinking eggplant parmesan, or authentic pizza. When someone mentioned Mighty Quinn’s Barbecue my ears stood up. I just finished watching«Burgers, Brew & Que» on the Food Network a few nights previously and Mighty Quinn was featured on the show. I was in no mood to do battle on the FDR Drive to lower Manhattan but I really wanted to try this place out. When I was informed that there was a store located in Clifton New Jersey, two thoughts went through my mind… better to deal with the traffic on GWB now rather than later, and oh… it’s a chain! I thought the location on 2nd Ave, in the East Village was the only location. When it comes to BBQ, I do my best to avoid chain establishments. While I have had some pleasant experiences dining at popular chain establishments, or sampling their products at the Big Apple BBQ Fest, I have dined a few establishments that made me question why I even considered walking through their doors. I would be lying if I said a bit of apprehensiveness was not settling in as we traveled to the restaurant. We arrived at Mighty Quinn’s to be greeted by a line that was extending to the back of the eatery that grew longer every two-minutes. I guess the smell of smoked bbq was attracting everyone within a 10 mile radius. Since I wanted everything on the menu, I found it difficult to make a decision until I finally reached the counter. The wife wanted ribs, and since my fingers are always in her plate, it my decision a little easier. I decided to reward my indecisiveness with a single portion of brisket, and pulled pork! :). It was the best damn decision I ever made. The brisket is a model of perfection. The smoke ring on that piece of meat from the cow’s lower chest looked amazing; tasted even better. The pulled pork and the ribs were also great and was filled with simple, smoked, but robust bbq flavor. We ordered sides for the table that included corn fritters w/honey chili dipping sauce, butter-milk broccoli salad w/bacon, and the beans w/burnt ends. Each side-dish was on point! That means hit the spot! In addition to those hefty sides, we ordered two portions of dirty fries. The only thing dirty about these fries are your hands; should you choose not use a fork. These spuds are topped with chile-lime sauce, red onions, scallions, and should you feel as if you don’t have enough meat on your plate already, the burnt ends on top the fries should satisfy you. Mighty Quinn’s Barbecue has 5 locations throughout NYC, and 1 in North Jersey. Even though their stores are confined to a general region, one could still consider this establishment to be a chain in the normal sense of the word. My trip to Mighty Quinn’s Barbecue in Clifton, NJ may have saved a few chain BBQ joints that I may not have considered setting foot in. Mighty Quinn’s is one establishment I would not hesitate to visit whenever my hankering for BBQ kicks in. Even though the nearest location is 90 miles from my home, I will have no issue jumping on the turnpike to satisfy the beast. Besides I need to take on the Brontosaurus Rib!

No me gustó el restaurante. La comida tiene mucha grasa y las costillas se ven crudas, aparte que no tenia nada de BBQ salsa… lo que sí me gustó fueron las papitas fritas y el Ginger ice tea… Sorry!
